Ayresome Court Nursing Home is located on the outskirts of the picturesque, historic market town of Yarm. It is just a short drive from the North York Moors National Park and has good road, bus and rail links, making it easily accessible.

The home offers nursing, residential and respite care in a purpose-built setting, with a caring environment where every resident is seen as an individual. Residents are fully involved in the planning of their care, with their dignity, privacy, choice and independence always respected and promoted.

Residents’ wellbeing is extremely important at Ayresome Court and they are encouraged to participate in physically and mentally stimulating activities, such as walking, cycling, chess, arts and crafts, and therapy sessions. There are also wheelchair-friendly gardens where residents can relax in a peaceful environment.

The home has strong relationships with the library, schools and churches in the local community, and they work closely with health centres, dental surgeries and pharmacies to ensure the care delivered is always of the highest quality.

Their hard work and dedication has been rewarded in the form of Ayresome Court being recognised as a top 20 Recommended Care Home North East England for 2015 and 2016 on carehome.co.uk. They have also won the Akari garden competition for beautiful exteriors.

This care home has been looking after my father for four months. They are very caring staff in the home.
Nothing is too much trouble and they keep the home very clean and tidy. A lovely place and I would recommend it to anybody. Very pleased.

My mum was admitted on the 12th November 2018 being fast-tracked from hospital. She died on the 27th December 2018. Within that time, all the staff were nothing but amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they always had time for not just my mum but all my family and when the end came, their care
didn't stop there. Love every one of them and I can't praise them enough.

I found Ayresome Court Nursing Home to be an excellent care facility. They not only cared for my mother during her final days but were sensitive and supportive to the whole family at a time of great stress. A dedicated team of staff, at all levels. Highly professional and willing to assist in any way
they could. They ensured that all my mother's needs were met and that her room was like her own home, as closely as possible. Not only this but they also made sure the family were never without refreshments and support throughout the time she spent with them.

An excellent nursing home in all aspects and I could not recommend it more highly. Skilled, caring and dedicated staff, even devoted, attended to my mum's every need quietly and efficiently. The manager was so supportive and had great empathy for both patients and relatives. Rooms were warm and comforting
and staff were available 24/7 to deal with any aspect of care.

Since Jack has been at Ayresome Court his well being has improved dramatically. Staff are very friendly and professional and there are always activities going on. One of the carers even organised to get him to our daughter's wedding and looked after him for the whole day. A big relief and less worry
for us!

My aunt needed 24-hour care at 98 years-old with cancer. From the first day, my aunt got the best care the family could wish for, in the short time she was there. At the end when I saw my aunt she was laid and rested in clean sheets and her personal things around her.

We are new users of this facility and I am very impressed by the care and commitment of all the staff. From our first enquiries, we received very professional advice and assistance, delivered with charm and sensitivity at a very stressful time. On arrival, we were met with big smiles and the transition

We are always made so welcome as the staff open the door, however busy they are.
Nothing seems to make them ratty.


It is very homely, cosy and warm. Lovely food and very clean. Beds clean.
Everyone trots around at there own pace and seem very happy.
