Following two visits for respite care and visiting other care homes in the area prior to my mother-in-law's move into a home, we concluded Ayresome Court was the best home in the area for my mother-in-law. Since moving in, my mother-in-law has settled in much quicker than we expected and has been welcomed and treated with great kindness and patience. The food has been scored highly too. I cannot speak too highly of the care she has experienced since moving to Ayresome Court.
Staff are always friendly and helpful. They give as much support to me as they do to my mum. Nothing is too much trouble. Someone is always available to speak to and any concerns are always dealt with. I cannot praise the staff enough for their commitment and dedication.
My mother suffered dementia and Alzheimers and was declining aged 93. Then home took her in and cared for her every need in great detail. What struck me most was the high quality of care across all sections, nursing, medical and caring, cleaning, food, laundry, maintenance and entertainment activities. What gives the home its special warmth was the close collaboration and attention to detail shared by each staff team. Mum was very happy here up to the moment she died.
My father spent his last few days in Ayresome Court Nursing Home after suffering a stroke at the age of 91. The manager and staff moved heaven and earth to get him transferred late on a Friday and avoid another weekend in the hospital.
During his short time here he was treated with dignity, respect and affection by the happy helpful and caring staff.
I popped in most days and was always greeted with a smile.
Nothing was too much trouble during my Dad's last days.
If I wasn't with him a member of staff was, and that gave me peace of mind during a very difficult time.
Dad passed away peacefully, with dignity, in his own room and that was all I asked for.
Staff attended Dad's funeral and that was lovely for the family to see.
Dad was very happy in the home and was especially fond of being in the garden, doing a bit of weeding, eating ice-lolllies, chatting with other residents/staff or drinking his endless cups of tea!
At his funeral we asked for donations for the Home and raised enough to buy a Companion Seat, now others can benefit from sitting in the garden and enjoying what Dad loved to do the most.
I cannot compliment the staff enough, they were and are wonderful - thank you to the manager and the team.
My mum was admitted to Ayresome Court Nursing Home on 23rd May 2017. She had several bouts of pneumonia and was hospitalised from 19th Jan 2017 to 23rd May 2017. When she arrived at the home she was in a weak state and not interested in getting out of bed. The staff soon got her up and about and she came back to life. Every time she got ill they were fantastic and seemed to blossom back. She died on the 4th January 2018 almost 95 years old. I did not want my mum to be in a nursing home but the staff were so friendly and cheerful. I could not have asked for anything better.
The staff are extremely good, caring and supportive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Nursing support is fantastic. The food is excellent and there are always plenty of drinks and snacks available. Staff know residents very well and safety is paramount.
From my very first visit, when I called to inquire about a place for my Mum I was met by friendly and informative staff. When my Mum moved into the home she was greeted by friendly staff who made her feel welcome. It is the caring and cheerful staff which make this home so special. I know my Mum is safe and well cared for here.
I visit from the Isle of Man once a month and found the staff extremely helpful and kind. Its clean, tidy and well run.
The home encourages clients to join in all activities.
All in all, this is a well-run home and give the family good support.
On many visits to see my aunt I am always very impressed by the standard of care provided to the residents. The staff are always kind and friendly, displaying endless patience. The home is always clean and bright providing a homely environment for the residents. Meals are varied and nutritious and no special requests are denied. The bedrooms are bright and spacious and very well maintained.
My grandmother receives the very best of treatment at this care home and is very happy there.
My mother has resided at Ayresome Court for three years until her death this month. I have always found the staff to be courteous and attentive and I cannot thank them enough for their care and attention over recent weeks. I would have no hesitation in recommending such a lovely home and wonderful people.
Before my mother was placed here I looked at several homes and they weren't a patch on this home. It makes me feel at ease knowing she's in good hands.
We are very pleased we have made the right choice for our mothers care.
Treat my mum with dignity and staff are all lovely.
This is a lovely place I am very very happy and totally satisfied with Ayresome Court Nursing Home.
During the three months that my mother was resident at Ayresome Court she received excellent care. The home is very clean and comfortable. The staff are always kind and friendly while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
It is a very friendly care home and they always consider the needs of the individual.
They are very welcoming to friends and family.
Rooms are the same. Staff are welcoming, friendly, competent, efficient and well trained and qualified where required.
Staff are mostly from the local area and can relate well to the residents.
All staff know residents by name and understand them - their nature, needs etc.
There is obvious safeguarding, without too much intrusion.
