Ayresome Court Nursing Home is located on the outskirts of the picturesque, historic market town of Yarm. It is just a short drive from the North York Moors National Park and has good road, bus and rail links, making it easily accessible.

The home offers nursing, residential and respite care in a purpose-built setting, with a caring environment where every resident is seen as an individual. Residents are fully involved in the planning of their care, with their dignity, privacy, choice and independence always respected and promoted.

Residents’ wellbeing is extremely important at Ayresome Court and they are encouraged to participate in physically and mentally stimulating activities, such as walking, cycling, chess, arts and crafts, and therapy sessions. There are also wheelchair-friendly gardens where residents can relax in a peaceful environment.

The home has strong relationships with the library, schools and churches in the local community, and they work closely with health centres, dental surgeries and pharmacies to ensure the care delivered is always of the highest quality.

Their hard work and dedication has been rewarded in the form of Ayresome Court being recognised as a top 20 Recommended Care Home North East England for 2015 and 2016 on carehome.co.uk. They have also won the Akari garden competition for beautiful exteriors.

From the day he arrived at the home until the day he passed away, my Dad was treated with dignity and respect.
I popped in most days and was always greeted with a smile.
Nothing was too much trouble during my Dad's last days.
If I wasn't with him a member of staff was, and that gave me peace of
mind during a very difficult time.
Dad passed away peacefully, with dignity, in his own room and that was all I asked for.
Staff attended Dad's funeral and that was lovely for the family to see.
Dad was very happy in the home and was especially fond of being in the garden, doing a bit of weeding, eating ice-lolllies, chatting with other residents/staff or drinking his endless cups of tea!
At his funeral we asked for donations for the Home and raised enough to buy a Companion Seat, now others can benefit from sitting in the garden and enjoying what Dad loved to do the most.
I cannot compliment the staff enough, they were and are wonderful - thank you to the manager and the team.

My mum was admitted to Ayresome Court Nursing Home on 23rd May 2017. She had several bouts of pneumonia and was hospitalised from 19th Jan 2017 to 23rd May 2017. When she arrived at the home she was in a weak state and not interested in getting out of bed. The staff soon got her up and about and she
came back to life. Every time she got ill they were fantastic and seemed to blossom back. She died on the 4th January 2018 almost 95 years old. I did not want my mum to be in a nursing home but the staff were so friendly and cheerful. I could not have asked for anything better.

The staff are extremely good, caring and supportive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Nursing support is fantastic. The food is excellent and there are always plenty of drinks and snacks available. Staff know residents very well and safety is paramount.

On many visits to see my aunt I am always very impressed by the standard of care provided to the residents. The staff are always kind and friendly, displaying endless patience. The home is always clean and bright providing a homely environment for the residents. Meals are varied and nutritious and no

My mother has resided at Ayresome Court for three years until her death this month. I have always found the staff to be courteous and attentive and I cannot thank them enough for their care and attention over recent weeks. I found the staff to be extremely polite and caring to the residents. The general condition of the home is very good. Everywhere was clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this home to anyone else.
Before my mother was placed here I looked at several homes and they weren't a patch on this home.
It makes me feel at ease knowing she's in good hands.

The first impression when arriving was lovely and it only gets better from there. The lovely warm welcoming feeling from all the staff and my mum seems very happy, cared for and safe.

I have had a very pleasing experience at Ayresome Court. I was very ill for eight weeks and the nursing and care was wonderful.
It is a very friendly care home and they always consider the needs of the individual.

The first impression entering the home is more like a hotel, not an institution. It is light, airy and welcoming - well furnished, flowers, pictures etc.
Rooms are the same. Staff are welcoming, friendly, competent, efficient and well trained and qualified where required.
Staff are mostly from the
local area and can relate well to the residents.
All staff know residents by name and understand them - their nature, needs etc.
There is obvious safeguarding, without too much intrusion.
