Highfield Care Home, located in the historic town of Yarm, provides personalised residential and residential dementia care to older people.

The comfortable home has plenty of well designed areas for residents to relax, socialise and unwind. The garden, hobby room and patio area make great places for residents to pursue hobbies and interests as well as spend time with their loved ones.

Highfield boasts a selection of specially designed dining areas that provide the perfect space to share meals with fellow residents, or family and friends. The catering team prides itself on ensuring that each meal is an enjoyable and heart-warming experience for every resident and visitor to the home.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the Highfield staff who are continuing to go to work and look after our loved ones at a time when we are unable to visit.
I know that my mum is in the safest place and is being so well looked after by all of the staff, who all have their own families
to take care of as well as looking after their own health at this very difficult time.
The staff at Highfield are all angels and I can’t thank them enough for all they are doing.

I cannot express enough our gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Highfield Care Home.
My Dad has been with them since June and during his time with them, they have treated him as one of their own family.
In a period of time which has been extremely stressful and challenging for my Dad the care,
dedication and love shown for him have been way beyond just a job.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team to care for a family member.

My mother has been in Highfield since the end of November last year (2019). We are very pleased with the care and attention she has received from all the staff during her stay. The staff and management go the extra mile to make the residents comfortable and happy and they show great compassion and
patience. We have visited almost on a daily basis and are always made to feel very welcome. The food is always excellent and there are many activities for the residents to enjoy.

The staff and care received by my mother at The Highfield Care Home has been wonderful. Everyone has been friendly, helpful and kind. Very relieved and happy that my father is resident in this care home. I can actually rest knowing that all his care is being taken care of. Also, positive help received by myself upon initially talking with the Manageress, which took so much stress away from myself.

My mum has been at Highfield since the summer and I couldn’t be happier with the care she receives.
Highfield emphasises kindness in its marketing materials and this is indeed its defining characteristic from which all else flows. From the home manager downwards, the staff are endlessly kind, compassionate
and patient, often under trying circumstances.

We are delighted with Mum's progress since coming to Highfield, she is now conversing with us and seems very happy and settled. Mum enjoys her food and looks forward to her meals.
Mum moved from another home and the difference is so noticeable, the atmosphere in Highfield is jollity and caring and
I can't praise the staff enough for the care they are giving Mum, as I live some distance away it is comforting to know she is being cared for so well.
Thank you, one of the things that I noticed is staff and residents are all happy and welcoming.

The staff are wonderful, very caring and friendly. There are lots of activities for Dad to join in with, but he can also have quiet times to read the paper in his room. Dad was very isolated at home and there has been a big difference in his mood since coming into The Highfield. He is enjoying the
food and is eating much more since he came here, which is having a positive effect on his health. He feels secure here and is mixing more with other residents. The management have been very supportive at this difficult time.

This care home provides an excellent standard of care. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are highly dedicated and professional. My mother receives excellent care and is very well taken care of.
She is happy and settled which is reflected in the high standard of care she receives.

My mum initially came here on respite while waiting for another home, but ended up staying here permanently as she loved it so much. The staff are amazing and have helped her settle in, they are very welcoming and friendly and treat Mum with dignity and respect. There are plenty of activities for Mum
too.


I'm over the moon Mum found this place as she is safe, well looked after and myself and my sister can relax knowing she is there. Nothing is too much of a problem for them.
The residents are friendly and all seem happy.

Mam gets looked after well.
Needed to be taken to hospital over Christmas, staff were excellent looking after mam, efficient getting medical attention. Always made you welcome.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Highfield.
A lovely friendly atmosphere where all of my dad's needs are carried out with the professionalism of good nursing staff, who are very caring and compassionate and often go above and beyond their duty's to help the comfort and care of the residents.
The managers are very friendly and approachable and always open to any suggestions. All in all, both my dad and myself are very happy with the care he receives at the Highfield.
