Highfield Care Home

Since my father arrived at Highfields suddenly and without being able to visit beforehand, all the staff have been wonderful, considerate, understanding, reassuring and professional. We feel they genuinely care for him, spend time with him, getting to know him and genuinely care for his well-being. They are patient and encourage him to be part of the team, ensuring his happiness, showing kindness to him and our family in these difficult Covid times. Thank you.

A very emotional time taking my father-in-law to a care home after he has always managed on his own since losing his wife in November 2014. But having had a stroke, things changed, but I was really pleased when I took him to Highfield. The management and staff were so kind and considerate that it put my mind at ease, and today was the first time we have seen him, and he was a lot more settled and well presented, and the meal he was given on arrival looked, first class.

The staff are very nice and my meals are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble.

My father was admitted to the home 7 months ago. The care he received was above and beyond our expectations, the staff went above and beyond. We were kept well informed by the Manager who we commend for her professionalism.

Delighted with the care my Nanna is receiving at all times, but especially during the Covid pandemic. The manager kindly helped us arrange a virtual 90th birthday celebration for Nanna which was so lovely for us all as a family as we couldn't spend her birthday together. Nothing is too much and the staff are so helpful when we want to video call Nanna. She always looks immaculate with care taken to do her hair, nails and choice of her clothes. Thank you, everyone, for taking such good care of Nanna and keeping our minds at ease during this difficult time xxx

The care and compassion shown to my Mum and all residents at Highfield during the current pandemic has been incredible; I can never thank the manager and staff for their kindness, not only to my Mum but to us as a family with their reassurances and updates on how everyone is; nothing is ever too much trouble and despite their own fears, keep positive during these difficult times. It is an amazing home with wonderful staff and management and I am so glad my Mum is being cared for there. Thank you, everyone.

The commitment from all carers is wonderful. I know Mum is in special caring hands. Looking forward to seeing everyone under normal circumstances.

My mother has been in Highfield since the end of November last year (2019). We are very pleased with the care and attention she has received from all the staff during her stay. The staff and management go the extra mile to make the residents comfortable and happy and they show great compassion and patience. We have visited almost on a daily basis and are always made to feel very welcome. The food is always excellent and there are many activities for the residents to enjoy.

The staff and care received by my mother at The Highfield Care Home has been wonderful. Everyone has been friendly, helpful and kind. The social programme is excellent, giving plenty of variety and stimulus for the residents. I would like to give a big thank you to everyone involved in my mother's care.

Very relieved and happy that my father is resident in this care home. I can actually rest knowing that all his care is being taken care of. Also, positive help received by myself upon initially talking with the Manageress, which took so much stress away from myself.

The staff are wonderful, very caring and friendly. There are lots of activities for Dad to join in with, but he can also have quiet times to read the paper in his room. Dad was very isolated at home and there has been a big difference in his mood since coming into The Highfield. He is enjoying the food and is eating much more since he came here, which is having a positive effect on his health. He feels secure here and is mixing more with other residents. The management have been very supportive at this difficult time.

The staff have looked after my husband with the utmost care. All of them have been wonderful, which has made me feel so relieved he is in such good care.
