Highfield Care Home, located in the historic town of Yarm, provides personalised residential and residential dementia care to older people.

The comfortable home has plenty of well designed areas for residents to relax, socialise and unwind. The garden, hobby room and patio area make great places for residents to pursue hobbies and interests as well as spend time with their loved ones.

Highfield boasts a selection of specially designed dining areas that provide the perfect space to share meals with fellow residents, or family and friends. The catering team prides itself on ensuring that each meal is an enjoyable and heart-warming experience for every resident and visitor to the home.

We were really worried how Dad would settle in, but he was made so welcome from the start. The staff are always happy, cheerful with nothing too much trouble. The staff work well as a team, are kind and genuinely care for the residents.

Excellent arranged two visits. Phone calls very accommodating. All staff extremely welcoming. Clearly knew Grandad, his character, like and interests well. He had participated in the gardening. All very clean. Food excellent.

Since my father arrived at Highfields suddenly and without being able to visit beforehand, all the staff have been wonderful, considerate, understanding, reassuring and professional. We feel they genuinely care for him, spend time with him, getting to know him and genuinely care for his well-being.
They are patient and encourage him to be part of the team, ensuring his happiness, showing kindness to him and our family in these difficult Covid times. Thank you.

A very emotional time taking my father-in-law to a care home after he has always managed on his own since losing his wife in November 2014. But having had a stroke, things changed, but I was really pleased when I took him to Highfield. The management and staff were so kind and considerate that it put
my mind at ease, and today was the first time we have seen him, and he was a lot more settled and well presented, and the meal he was given on arrival looked, first class.

Delighted with the care my Nanna is receiving at all times, but especially during the Covid pandemic. The manager kindly helped us arrange a virtual 90th birthday celebration for Nanna which was so lovely for us all as a family as we couldn't spend her birthday together. Nothing is too much and the
staff are so helpful when we want to video call Nanna. She always looks immaculate with care taken to do her hair, nails and choice of her clothes. Thank you, everyone, for taking such good care of Nanna and keeping our minds at ease during this difficult time xxx

The care and compassion shown to my Mum and all residents at Highfield during the current pandemic has been incredible; I can never thank the manager and staff for their kindness, not only to my Mum but to us as a family with their reassurances and updates on how everyone is; nothing is ever too much
trouble and despite their own fears, keep positive during these difficult times. It is an amazing home with wonderful staff and management and I am so glad my Mum is being cared for there. Thank you, everyone.
