Highfield Care Home, located in the historic town of Yarm, provides personalised residential and residential dementia care to older people.

The comfortable home has plenty of well designed areas for residents to relax, socialise and unwind. The garden, hobby room and patio area make great places for residents to pursue hobbies and interests as well as spend time with their loved ones.

Highfield boasts a selection of specially designed dining areas that provide the perfect space to share meals with fellow residents, or family and friends. The catering team prides itself on ensuring that each meal is an enjoyable and heart-warming experience for every resident and visitor to the home.

My mum-in-law was cared for in the above home for over 9 years. She was happy and much loved by the wonderful staff. Sadly as she aged her physical and mental capacity declined but the level of care continued to be as consistent as ever.
She died peacefully on 3rd January at "home"- Highfield.

During my wife's stay in your Yarm home, I found the management and staff to act in a very efficient and professional manner.

I am full of praise for the staff at Highfield. The care they give my mum is excellent. She is happy and content and this is down to them. Any problems are dealt with swiftly eg. Dental requirements, chiropody. The management of the care home is efficient and although the managers are busy, they are
always avaliable to discuss any issues.

I had cared for my father at home for several years and reluctantly agreed that he needed full-time care at the age of 99 years; he could no longer walk, was almost blind and had trouble feeding himself. The staff at Highfield were kind and reassuring, they always had time to talk about my father. He
was content and cared for gently and with respect, he settled well. He passed away of natural causes in bed, in June 2017.

Very welcoming, friendly and supportive staff. Great care is taken to fulfil all mums needs and I would never consider putting her anywhere else than Highfield.


I feel confident and happy that mum is getting the best care possible and has always company from staff and nothing is too much trouble.

My sister has lived here for 18 months and during that time she has received superb care and her condition has progressed considerably. She is well fed, kept clean and loves the staff who care for her.

I visit my friend every Friday and Sunday. I find Highfield a lovely warm place to visit. Staff are so friendly and very very kind and helpful.
My friend is so well looked after. I did my first coffee morning and loved it. Lots of lovely cakes. Everybody tucked in and I had a wonderful lovely morning.

As a family, the care given to my mother we found to be exceptional! Always kind, always caring. In the last few days of her life, the staff were very supportive to us and gentle and kind to mum. It may not be the smartest care home but that's not important, it's the people involved that counts. One
big family.

My mother spent 6 months in the Highfield Care Home, and she was very happy here. The staff were wonderful with her, and gave her all the love and attention that she needed.
The home is spotlessly clean and the food that is provided always looked delicious, and I know that my mother always enjoyed
her meals there.
I was always content that my mother was receiving the best of care here.

My brother died on 7th January 2017 in a hospital.
His time at this care home, two and a half years was mostly in bed.
He always said he could not fault the care home.
All the staff were excellent.
I visited him every day and the staff were caring and attentive, always helpful in every way.
I don't
know how they managed with all the problems of the patients.
The lady who was in charge of the home said this was his home and kept him cheerful.
Nothing was a bother and the staff missed him. Thank you all.
I raised over £300 for the Residents Fund.

My mother is well looked after in the care home. The staff are all lovely and friendly and it has a nice family atmosphere. I have peace of mind having my mother stay at the Highfield and know she is well looked after and cared for.

My mother-in-law has been in the Highfield Care Home for 3 years now very happy with everything. When taking out for the day always wants to get back to the place she calls home, music to our ears. Staff are fantastic always willing to help if an issue needs sorting, always a happy atmosphere when we
walk in. We couldn't have asked for a better home for my mother-in-law.
