Kingston Court Care Home

Much appreciation to all the staff at Kingston Court for the kindness, care and attention given to my sister over the last months of her life. A very difficult time for all made even more difficult due to the Covid situation. All the family, along with myself, want to thank all the staff for the care and understanding shown towards us all.

The staff are excellent, nothing is any trouble. Lovely and friendly, always keeping me up to date how Mam was doing. Even at this time of the virus, they went the extra mile to take care of the residents. I never had any anxieties about leaving Mam when I was away. Sadly Mam passed away recently and I can't thanks everyone enough for taking care of her to the end. It was a pleasure knowing everyone.

My dad has been here since Christmas. He is well looked after and the home is pleasant and clean. His room is ok although, because of the number of domestic residents, the alarms are always going off and the home is noisy for my dad. He had settled there and they have managed his nursing needs very well. They locked down early because of Co-vid and have done well to manage the extreme difficulties it has persisted.

Staff have gone above and beyond by living-in during the Covid 19 pandemic. They look after my father very well, keeping to a high standard of personal care. They carefully listen to his wishes, despite his limited ability to easily communicate.

My sister is always clean and tidy when we visit. Her room and surroundings are also clean. The staff are helpful and we are informed of any changes in my sister's condition.

My aunt has been extremely well cared for, and all the staff have been brilliant, I can't thank them enough. I would also like to thank you for the lovely, thoughtful photo you sent; I must admit it had me in tears. Thank you so much. Please take care all through this difficult time and hope to see you all soon, God Bless you all.

Even before the lockdown I was very very happy with the excellent care my wife received at Kingston Court. During the lockdown I have contacted the home by telephone every day and have been kept fully up to date with everything.

During lockdown, the staff have been simply excellent.

My mother received the best care I could have possibly hoped for right up to the end of her life. The management, nurses and care staff were compassionate, caring, friendly but most of all treat my mum with dignity. This care home is a prime example of what care should look like to the elderly and vulnerable and I will be eternally grateful for this.

During the short time, my mother was at Kingston Court, she was treated with respect and boundless care and compassion, especially from the staff nurses, though all the staff was friendly and supportive. As a family, we felt confident about leaving my mother at Kingston Court and they provided a safe, caring and professional environment for her until her passing.

My father was admitted to Kingston Court in his final few weeks of life, as we had begun to find caring for him as a family, at home, just too difficult. The staff were absolutely fabulous. They were brilliant with my dad - offering comfort and reassurance when he needed it most. They welcomed us as a family and allowed us to visit at any time, day or night - and in his final few days, they were so kind, letting us stay with him, so he was not on his own or afraid when he passed away. Having onsite nursing staff was truly a blessing. They knew when he needed to see a doctor and had a great understanding of his health needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Kingston Court to families. I felt comfortable with dad being there as I knew he was in good hands. They treated him with dignity and respect. Nothing was too much trouble.

Having recently spent two weeks in Kingston Court after being discharged from hospital I would like to thank the staff who were very polite, and friendly. They were very helpful at all times and I was well looked after.

My father was in Kingston Court Care Home for several weeks. He was not an easy man to please and even at 92, he found it difficult to accept his limitations and poor health. I found all the staff and management went out of their way to do everything possible to please Dad and engage him in the activities. He was well cared for mentally and physically and was treated with compassion and understanding.

Staff at Kingston Court are hard-working, friendly, extremely caring and helpful. My mum has been treated with dignity and cared for to a very high standard. Nothing is too much trouble. It's very reassuring to know my mum is safe and being well looked after.

I have visited Kingston Court on many occasions to see my friend and I always find the overall standard excellent. In the UK, we need many more care homes to the standard of this place! The staff are all most caring and helpful to the residents. Management clearly take a personal interest, not only in each resident but, in the overall standard of the home.

There was always a perceptible sense of positivity in very difficult circumstances during my mother-in law's final weeks. Every care was taken with her physically, ensuring that she was clean, looked after and retained all dignity possible. My mother-in-law was encouraged to mix with other residents and engage in the offered activities which gave her some cheer in difficult times. When this was no longer possible, the staff showed considerable sensitivity and professionalism which her relatives found very touching and supportive. We can not thank the staff involved in her day-to-day care enough for all that they gave her in so many ways during her stay with them.

Thank you. I'm so grateful that Mum found her way to you as your care, strength and kindness were outstanding. Mum was not keen to move to a home but when she needed that level of support, you reached out and calmly, quietly, tirelessly gave Mum just what she needed - smiles, washes, clean room, custard, biscuits and above all - dignity.

We are so grateful for the care and kindness you have given the resident. She could not have been in a better place or been better looked after.

If I had any concerns, it would be I would have liked my aunt to have had more days out but I understand due to staffing and the nature of the illness, I know it was not possible.
