Highly skilled staff focus on person-centred care in a friendly and comfortable environment.

Experienced cooks pride themselves on providing home-cooked nutritious dishes, with a four-week rolling menu. Cooks are able to cater for specialist diets.

When visiting, always a friendly welcome. Safety is always a priority. All staff appear to treat patients and visitors with concern and dignity. It may be difficult but food and drinks can be quite cool. The laundry can be haphazard, however, all staff are kept busy and seem to do their utmost to help.

I find all the staff very friendly and caring to all residents. This past pandemic year has been handled to the highest standard to keep everyone safe. It has been difficult not seeing my mum, but her safety is more important.

All checked in a door, gown on, mask and gloves. Then had coronavirus tests done. Then forms to fill in. Afterwards went to see Mam fast asleep but peaceful. Wish I could hug her and kiss her, but not allowed. When will this horrid virus be finished?

My mother was admitted to Kingston Court from Cumberland Infirmary at the end of August 2020. This was initially intended as a period of assessment but, owing to further spells in hospital, periods of lockdown quarantine, and difficulty in finding a suitable alternative care home, she remained at Kingston
Court and is now a permanent resident.
Throughout that most difficult period, during which her mental condition has greatly deteriorated, it has been a real comfort for me to know that my mother is receiving the best possible care. I have been able to speak to her regularly via Facetime and it became obvious from the outset that the nursing and care staff are extremely caring and compassionate. Last week was the first time I was able to go beyond the reception area and visit my mother. My first impressions of Kingston Court reinforced the limited knowledge I had already gained and I have every confidence that she is in the most capable hands.

My uncle is well cared for, and his needs are met. He knows where he is and requested to stay in the care home. He tells me he is very comfortable, feels safe and is well looked after.

The staff are excellent, nothing is any trouble. Lovely and friendly, always keeping me up to date how Mam was doing. Even at this time of the virus, they went the extra mile to take care of the residents. I never had any anxieties about leaving Mam when I was away. Sadly Mam passed away recently and
I can't thanks everyone enough for taking care of her to the end. It was a pleasure knowing everyone.

My dad has been here since Christmas. He is well looked after and the home is pleasant and clean. His room is ok although, because of the number of domestic residents, the alarms are always going off and the home is noisy for my dad. He had settled there and they have managed his nursing needs very
well. They locked down early because of Co-vid and have done well to manage the extreme difficulties it has persisted.

Staff have gone above and beyond by living-in during the Covid 19 pandemic. They look after my father very well, keeping to a high standard of personal care. They carefully listen to his wishes, despite his limited ability to easily communicate.

Even before the lockdown I was very very happy with the excellent care my wife received at Kingston Court. During the lockdown I have contacted the home by telephone every day and have been kept fully up to date with everything.

My husband was transported to Kingston Court directly from hospital in September 2019. He has cancer and is unable to walk and has other ailments too. My family and I have been amazed at the excellent care he is receiving and are so thankful to all the staff for their expertise, professional care, kindness
and compassion and we are so thankful that a room at Kingston Court was available when he needed it.
During lockdown, the staff have been simply excellent.

My mother received the best care I could have possibly hoped for right up to the end of her life. The management, nurses and care staff were compassionate, caring, friendly but most of all treat my mum with dignity. This care home is a prime example of what care should look like to the elderly and vulnerable
and I will be eternally grateful for this.

My father was admitted to Kingston Court in his final few weeks of life, as we had begun to find caring for him as a family, at home, just too difficult. The staff were absolutely fabulous. They were brilliant with my dad - offering comfort and reassurance when he needed it most. They welcomed us as
a family and allowed us to visit at any time, day or night - and in his final few days, they were so kind, letting us stay with him, so he was not on his own or afraid when he passed away. Having onsite nursing staff was truly a blessing. They knew when he needed to see a doctor and had a great understanding of his health needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Kingston Court to families. I felt comfortable with dad being there as I knew he was in good hands. They treated him with dignity and respect. Nothing was too much trouble.
