Staff are always approachable, friendly and attentive.
Mum is always clean and comfortable whenever we turn up.
Staff are very protective of her dignity which is very important to all of us.
We are never ignored. Nor is mother.
I've not commented on the activities element because Mum is not in a situation where she could/would use the facility.
Thank you for your positive review this means a lot to the staff at Riverwell Beck, we always strive to provide a high standard of care.
My dad is really well looked after and cared for in Riverwell Beck Care Home. The staff are always on hand to help and chat to him. I don’t know how we would have coped without him being cared for so well there.
Thank you for your positive review this means a lot to the staff at Riverwell Beck. We will pass on your kind words.
I have no hesitation in recommending their services to others who can be assured of a thoughtful well rounded service at all times.
Thank you so much for your review this means a lot to us to continue to improve our service.
The carers are very caring, and there is a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The last time we visited, the carer we met talked to my mother, reassured her and helped her recognise who we were. Otherwise, we would not have had any communication at all. So thoughtful. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you very much for your review. This is important to us to continue to improve our service. I will pass on your kind words to our lovely staff.
I am struck by the way in which the carers are always ready to go the extra mile. It is so heartening to hear the word 'yes' so readily. My mother is really cared for and the staff really go out of their way to ensure her comfort.
Kind regards
Wendy
I cannot express my gratitude enough to the staff at Blackwellvale( Riverwell Beck) for the care and compassion they have provided now for over two years for my mum with severe dementia. They are so patient with her, encouraging and genuine look out for her wellbeing - there have been some incidents which they have safeguarded professionally and always keep me in the loop of what is happening. My mum does not recognise any of us now but responds to staff like they are family which is lovely.
Kind regards
Wendy
It is always a nice experience the staff are always smiling and they all greet you in a nice manner they always speak to my mother when they pass us, my mother seems content overall I think she is well looked after, thank you
Kindest regards
Wendy
The staff at Blackwell Vale are caring, loving and humorous. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they have gone out of their way to make Mum happy over the last 5 or so years. She has been deteriorating recently and they have kept us fully informed of developments throughout. Mum always smiles when she hears them talking to her and we couldn't ask for anything more.
Kind regards
Wendy

I have nothing but praise for the staff who have treated my mother with kindness, dignity and patience during difficult times. I have been well informed regarding my mother's health and the home is always available at the end of the phone. The home is clean and secure and has a good activities programme. Although the rooms are spotless and functional they probably need updating. I have been informed an extensive refurbishment programme is planned shortly. In my opinion, the home provides excellent care.
kind regards

This care home has made my mum who is 91 years old very welcome. The care she has received from everyone is first class. I have always been informed of any changes etc. to my mum's health, medication or visiting arrangements. A huge thank you to Blackwell Vale's team who are always friendly and helpful.
Kind Regards,
Wendy
We live 300 miles away so it is difficult. We don't visit very often and because of Covid obviously have not been in for over a year. However, when we have been (over 4 years), people/staff have been pleasant and attentive and my mother has been well looked after. Certainly far better than she was treated by neighbours/villagers at home.
Thank you so much for your review it is much appreciated.
The staff have always been very friendly and helpful at all times.
Thank you very much for your review it is much appreciated.
Mum has now been in Blackwell Vale Care Home for over six months and my sister and I are both very happy with the care she is receiving. The staff are all very friendly and most helpful, mum has settled in really well and is quite happy there. I visited Mum earlier this month and it was all carried out very safely and friendly.
Thank you for your review it is very much appreciated.
My father has been in the care home a few days. So far I cannot rate the staff and care so highly. They are so caring and helpful.
Thank you, Brian, for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience of our home. We are pleased to learn it has been so positive and look forward to seeing you again soon. Take care.
My husband is very well looked after. The carers are all very good and very helpful to my husband. He is very happy, even with his mental problems, and very settled. No complaints.
Thank you, for letting us know how we are doing at Blackwell Vale Care Home. The care and wellbeing of every resident is our number one priority, and it is rewarding to have such positive feedback about how we are doing.
My mother came to Blackwell Vale approximately 9 months ago, and although she does not have dementia, she is unable to express herself when speaking and finds it difficult to put her thoughts into words (Aphasia). She also has difficulty walking and has a slight loss of movement in her right arm. The home has a caring, homely atmosphere and the staff are very helpful to both residents and visitors. There are several activities to occupy the residents, both in house and through visiting parties, and special events are organised throughout the year. The food is substantial, and visitors are encouraged to have a meal with their relatives (at a small donation). The management and staff are always available to discuss any concerns we may have about the resident's care, and I have had first-hand experience as to how quickly they have rectified my concerns. I consider my mother to be well looked after by the staff, and the recent meeting with the new manager has reassured me that the home is moving forward in the care of its residents.

The nurses and carers took great care to make Dad's transition from the previous care home stress-free and welcoming. Despite coming at fairly short notice his room was made to look homely and reminiscent of his previous room; the lovely handyman even popped his head around the door a few hours after Dad had arrived to check all the pictures were well placed and did we want anything else done?
We are very happy with Dad's new home.

Lovely staff, nothing ever too much trouble. My mam seems to be settling in nicely. All meals are homemade and always a good choice. The room is nicely furnished, clean and bright.
