After she
Sadly our mother became ill in June and passed away at the end of June. Again the home could not have been kinder to us all. For her last few days, we needed to be with her and the home gave us the use of one of the rooms so that we could stay and someone could be with her all the time. The staff kept us plied with teas and coffees all through this time.
We would recommend Abigail Lodge without any doubt.

Before my mother moved in, we were encouraged and supported by the manager and staff to furnish her room in a way that would be familiar to her to make her feel more at home, she was allowed to take her budgie in with her which meant a great deal to her and the family because it was causing her distress as to what was going to happen to him once she moved into the care home.
Now that she is in the home, she is enjoying the home cooked meals and the friendly banter with the staff. She is pleased that she can still have her independence and privacy when she desires it and that the family can visit any time of the day or night.
