My mam came into Defoe Court in August this year, we had heard good things about Defoe so we were quite happy when we walked in, everyone was very friendly and made my mam feel comfortable and safe in her room. As the months have gone on, Mam has been unwell several times and the nursing staff have
been on the ball with her care. Mam is always clean and tidy and the carers always have time to stop and talk to you and answer any questions we have. The food is always different and served up nicely, Mam really enjoys her meals here. My dad, who visits everyday, is also looked after and made to feel very welcome.

My mum hasn't been in care for long but it is clear how well run Defoe Court is. The staff are amazing - attentive, very friendly and treat all residents with respect and dignity. They have made a very difficult time much easier! We as family feel at ease now. The home is very accommodating to us; we
can visit anytime - even mealtimes. The activities are varied and a lot of effort is made to make the environment fun. It is an extremely clean and pleasant environment too. Mum enjoys the varied food offered.

Would highly recommend Defoe Court Care Home to anyone who needed excellent care. I absolutely love the staff, even if they are having a tough day they are welcoming, happy, courteous and you can have a laugh with them, they have become my friends.

The staff are very friendly and treat them all as good friends, the service they provide is ten out of ten. The home in general is very clean and always tidy. If this was a hotel, I would give it six stars not five. Everybody pulls together as one, they're just one big happy family.

The staff look after my mam like she is part of their family, she is treated with dignity and respect at all times. My mam is happy at Defoe Court. My mam's health needs are maintained to a very high standard and nothing is a problem for staff.

Why a lovely caring warm place with the best staff I have ever experienced.
The genuine love for my gran that was shown by them was overwhelming.
Nothing is too much trouble for them. If anyone has preconceived ideas about care homes (I did) then don’t worry. This is a place that is very much recommended.

The care here is excellent. All of the staff are always willing to help, nothing is too much trouble. Since the very beginning of February, they have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home. While I have been ill this last week I have had constant loving care. I can not find fault
apart from the occasional problems with food and my bathroom.

Dad has been living in Defoe Court for ten months now and is very happy. The staff at Defoe are fantastic. We have got to know the staff well, each one of them goes above and beyond to ensure the residents are well looked after. Dad enjoys his meals at Defoe and there is always a good selection to choose
from. The tea trolley comes around morning and afternoon which Dad enjoys having a cuppa and a cake. His medical needs are managed well by the nursing staff and I can relax knowing they ensure this medication is taken at the correct time. Whenever he has needed medical interactions, wherever possible the staff have arranged for this within the care home. Dad has had many trips out in their minibus visiting various garden centres, the seaside and museums. There are always activities happening within the home to get involved in. We enjoy taking part in bingo on Friday and sometimes win chocolate which his grandson helps to devour. I know that Dad is safe, well cared for and happy in Defoe Court.

I would like to express my sincere and grateful thanks to all the staff at Defoe Court Care Home for their continued care and support of the resident. Following a rather difficult and unpleasant stay for him at the hospital, he has made an amazing recovery upon his return to Defoe Court Care Home. Despite
his limited movement and medical condition, he remains very happy and content in his care home. Thank you!

I have nothing but praise for the home and can not find fault. The home is immaculately clean and looked after. The care my mother has received since she moved in in February has been wonderful. All of the staff and management are very caring and kind and go out of their way to make my mother feel at
home and comfortable and are very supportive of the family. No one is ever too busy to answer a query.

All the staff who cared for my mother-in-law even just for a few weeks showed great compassion, kindness and patience throughout the day and night. The room was always clean and tidy as was the care home in general. Most importantly my mother-in-law felt safe and cared for at all times which was extremely

My family made the difficult decision to put my grandma into a care home and from my first point of contact with this care home I was very impressed. The care my grandma has received is second to none. The staff are very passionate and caring. The staff have bent over backwards and nothing has been

I am very impressed with this care home. My mam moved here in January 2023 and despite it being a difficult time for us as a family, the care staff were amazing!
