The staff are super friendly and can't help enough. I feel very content to leave my mother in the staffs very capable hands. My mother is here for rehabilitation and after the first day, we saw a big improvement in her. I would recommend this care home as I feel they actually do care.

My wife has been a resident for a little over a month and I'm so pleased that she was recommended as I have recommended a friend. All staff are terrific and go beyond the call of duty. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The manager has some great ideas and keeps a good ship.

I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone. They looked after my father brilliantly right up to the day he passed away, 1st December 2017. Anything we wanted they were there to help straight away. I cannot thank them enough for all their help and making my Dads end of life more...

What can I say. The Jack Dormand Care Home and it’s wonderful staff are second to none. My 98 year old Grandad was cared for in his final week. After a distressing four months in hospital and care facilities he was moved to this fantastic care facility. The team at Jack Dormand cared for him like he was one of their own family. Nothing was to much. The home has a were homely feel. The staff were not only caring of my Grandad, but also of me and my mum. We live in the south of England. They kept us up to date of all of his care. When he sadly passed and we visited the Home, we were treated with great kindness an compassion. Thank you so much to all of the staff.

Staff are very friendly and approachable. They are efficient, caring and will go that extra mile. My husband has only been in 3 months and found it hard to settle but with patience and understanding, and giving him dignity and respect he is adjusting well.

My wife enjoys the occasional trip out and returns very happy. She is so missed at home by me and the family but we are all very happy with the care she receives, which is second to none. I have very little knowledge of other homes.

My mum is a resident at Jack Dormand Care Home and has been there for just under a year. It is her new home and she has settled really well. Nothing at all is a bother to the staff. If mum wants an ice-cream they take her to the shop. If she doesn't fancy her dinner, then they will get her something else. Her hair is done every week and she can have as many baths as she wants. She loves the staff but what is more important the staff really love her too.

We find the staff very friendly, helpful and extremely good at their jobs. They take the time to not only get to know the residents but to get to know their families as well. The activities for the residents are varied and well organised.

Marie has gained over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
Marie joined Jack Dormand as Home Manager as she closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby organisations and is always quick to welcome the local community to Jack Dormand.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Marie remarked: “I just love having the opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of our Residents.”
Outside of work, Marie enjoys swimming and spending time with her family.
