I have found this a positive experience. The staff have been most helpful, the food has been enjoyable, and nothing has been a trouble for the staff.

Going into Lothian House has given Mam a new lease of life. She is up in the lounge every day. She loves watching what is going on. It has improved the relationship between Mum and Dad. When we visit we can talk about the old days and have a laugh together. There is always a lovely, friendly atmosphere within the home and the staff are always friendly towards us and treat mam with dignity. Mam tells us how much she loves the girls.

Mam continues to enjoy her time at Lothian House. Staff have been fantastic and very patient as always but especially over the last year while Mam was ill. They were attentive and always happy to help or answer any questions. The home is always clean and is a very pleasant environment to visit. Nothing is too much trouble and knowing Mam is safe and well cared for gives us peace of mind. Thank you.

Generally good, enjoying the day trips out. Entertainment was really well organised over Xmas but has slipped slightly maybe due to reduced hours/days by the main entertainer.

Care staff are always available and very helpful.

My mam was brought into Lothian due to illness. We arrived and from entering the home till now, we have been made so welcome. The love and warmth we all have received have been overwhelming. Everyone has given Mam the love and help that she needs to keep her safe, warm and also give her dignity. We cannot thank them enough for what they do everyday and night. Always with a smile and friendly warmth no matter what time of day or night. My mam is so happy and they have helped to make that possible.

My aunt moved into Lothian House Care Home in August 2024, it came as quiet a shock as until then she lived a full life and had her own bungalow.

Since she moved into Lothian House she has made some lovely friends among other residents and staff. It is a pleasure to come and visit, you feel part of a happy family. I call most days and have never had a negative feeling, always go away smiling.

My mam has been a resident at Lothian House Care home for 13 years. She is cared for and looked after very well. All the staff are very helpful and kind and the home manager is very supportive. The home provides activities daily but Mam is unable to take part but did do when she first came in.

My sister moved into Lothian House Care Home in November 2024. I am over the moon we managed to get her in here. The facilities are clean and well organised and the staff are brilliant. They treat her like family and nothing is too much trouble for them. We are so lucky to have her in here. She has moved from a situation of risk to a high level of safety and security. Thank you.

This is the second care home my nana has been placed in as the first did not even meet basic needs. Our experience of Lothian House has been very different. Lothian house is always warm and inviting, they constantly have seasonal decorations up and there are lots of events and days out to keep residents stimulated and happy. My parents and I can rest easy knowing my nana is well looked after and happy here.

Resident:- Room constantly smelt. Always found sitting in room staring at the four walls on every visit apart from one where it was mealtime. T.V. not working - no radio although one taken in. On two visits was in dirty clothing and unshaven. On another visit complained of the cold as was only in a sleeveless jumper and vest.

Complained of being lonely.

I came to Lothian House on 8/8/2024. I found it to be top of the pops. The manager is a rock like I said (top of the pops). I find the care to be superb. I feel so safe and life is wonderful, always outings and feel so safe and didn't think that life was so good in Lothian House. I'm a born and bred girl in the local area and our wonderful manager says: "I know by your visitors, you know everyone and are so popular".

From the moment I came to view the home my experience was one of warmth and security and I haven't been disappointed. I know my mam will be well cared for and also our family know that staff do their utmost to provide the best care for our mother. Nothing is too much to ask, it gives us peace of mind. Mam isn't good with strangers or changes but she has settled so well.

We are so pleased that we found Lothian House for his final years. The carers are hard and considerate of his needs. They remember and individualise his care. Taking him out for the recent D-Day celebrations. The food is varied and plentiful. It is such a weight off of me knowing that he is content and well cared for.
