My mam has been a resident at Lothian House Care home for 13 years. She is cared for and looked after very well. All the staff are very helpful and kind and the home manager is very supportive. The home provides activities daily but Mam is unable to take part but did do when she first came in.

My sister moved into Lothian House Care Home in November 2024. I am over the moon we managed to get her in here. The facilities are clean and well organised and the staff are brilliant. They treat her like family and nothing is too much trouble for them. We are so lucky to have her in here. She has

This is the second care home my nana has been placed in as the first did not even meet basic needs. Our experience of Lothian House has been very different. Lothian house is always warm and inviting, they constantly have seasonal decorations up and there are lots of events and days out to keep residents
stimulated and happy. My parents and I can rest easy knowing my nana is well looked after and happy here.

Resident:- Room constantly smelt. Always found sitting in room staring at the four walls on every visit apart from one where it was mealtime. T.V. not working - no radio although one taken in. On two visits was in dirty clothing and unshaven. On another visit complained of the cold as was only in a
sleeveless jumper and vest.
Complained of being lonely.

I came to Lothian House on 8/8/2024. I found it to be top of the pops. The manager is a rock like I said (top of the pops). I find the care to be superb. I feel so safe and life is wonderful, always outings and feel so safe and didn't think that life was so good in Lothian House. I'm a born and bred
girl in the local area and our wonderful manager says: "I know by your visitors, you know everyone and are so popular".

I think the home is outstanding and nothing can be said against it.

From the moment I came to view the home my experience was one of warmth and security and I haven't been disappointed. I know my mam will be well cared for and also our family know that staff do their utmost to provide the best care for our mother. Nothing is too much to ask, it gives us peace of mind.
Mam isn't good with strangers or changes but she has settled so well.

'The kind care company' never a truer word said, all staff from kitchen, domestic care and managerial all treat Dad with utmost kindness and respect. Nothing is too much trouble. Any issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently. A truly kind care home.

We are so pleased that we found Lothian House for his final years. The carers are hard and considerate of his needs. They remember and individualise his care. Taking him out for the recent D-Day celebrations. The food is varied and plentiful. It is such a weight off of me knowing that he is content

My mum has only resided within the home since the beginning of last month. I cannot recommend Lothian House enough. The standard of care is second to none. All staff are friendly and professional and deliver a high standard of care to all residents, ensuring their care needs are met. All residents are
treated individually and safeguarded within the home. The meals are lovely. The manager and all the staff are very approachable and all do an amazing job looking after/taking care of our loved ones.

Lothian House is an amazing care home. The staff at Lothian are wonderful and look after everyone brilliantly, taking every step to make people feel at home. They have cared for my mother, who has dementia, since 2021 with incredible kindness, giving her an amazing quality of life and dignity. I can't

Lothian House is a lovely place. I know my dad is being well looked after by all the staff and it is so comforting for us not to worry about his care. As soon as I walked into Lothian House I could tell that it was the right place for Dad.

A big thank you to all the great staff at Lothian House for a fantastic 80th birthday for a dear friend. Her family had to cancel a visit and I was away. The manager gave support and reassurance that the day would go well and it was loved by my friend. From the hairdresser coming in on their day off,
a mayor visit, carers provided a buffet and entertainment and a video call to me to wish them a happy birthday. All possible due to an excellent team at Lothian. Peace of mind is every thing to me and I can say I had this. Thank you for every thing you all do, not just special days, every day, thank you.

Mam was fast-tracked to Lothian very quickly and the transfer from the hospital was excellent. Whilst here she had fantastic care and support and as a family, we have been supported too. Overall, a good experience for Mam and the family.

Lothian House is a caring environment, the staff are extremely friendly and professional. The home is immaculate and the food is lovely. We are delighted with the care that our mum-in-law receives. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff and management ensure that the health and welfare of their residents
are the top priority. Entertainment is provided and is fun and inclusive. Birthdays are celebrated. Can't speak highly enough of Lothian House.

“I believe that kind care means putting someone else’s needs before your own and making them feel special.”


Jill has gained over 20 years of experience in providing care and support to older people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and committed leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at Lothian House for a number of years, Jill closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Lothian House.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jill remarked: “I just love the satisfaction of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our Residents.”


Away from work, Jill enjoys weekends away with her partner and socialising with her friends and family.
