My father has been a resident at Melbury for several years. Recently he has had a number of falls, the staff have been terrific in notifying myself and making necessary changes to my fathers room to accommodate his needs to eliminate suture falls within his room. The staff have been fantastic, and one
of them even contacted me at home to see if I was ok as I had been upset by the trauma my father had experienced in his recent visits to the local hospital.


The staff genuinely care for my father and treat him as one of their own family, which is reassuring to myself and my brothers.

Would like to thank all staff who looked after my father for their kindness and care given. He sadly passed away after being in Melbury for a year. I was with my father when he passed and the staff were very kind and professional with me and Dad. I would recommend Melbury Court.

My mum has been a resident of Melbury Court for a number of years now. Recently the management and staff have been exceptional in their kindness and help over various aspects of her situation. Under very difficult times they have shown great dedication and continue to show compassion along with the
caring duties they perform. The newsletter they produce weekly is a great way to keep everyone informed and the pictures included and that are on the entrance noticeboard just now show a lot of happy faces. We all wish things were different and Mum could still be in her own home but It’s a relief and comfort to all the family to know that Mum is in a safe and comfortable environment. We thank everyone there for all they do.

My mum has been at Melbury Court since 2016 and the care she has received there has been nothing short of outstanding. All the staff at the home are so attentive and caring and nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend the home to anyone wanting a special place for their loved ones
to enjoy their later years.

Dad moved into Melbury in the summer, after being a resident in another local home.
He had such a bad experience there and we were desperate to move him.
Living far away and unable to visit Melbury, we were kindly given a tour via video call.
They asked about Dad his interests, likes and dislikes,
his life story basically but felt they were getting to know him.
The transfer was all arranged by them and Dad was soon settled in to his room.
Not being able to visit often, whenever we ring we are always able to speak to him. Everyone is friendly and I never feel we are bothering them.
We are always kept up to date on his well-being or if he needs anything.
Also love the weekly newsletters.
Even though he’s not been there long would definitely recommend Melbury.

1st class service at Melbury court, my uncle is a resident in the basement part of the home. The girls that are looking after him 24/7 are doing an amazing job, he always looks smartly dressed, washed and shaved, they also give him regular hugs and make him feel safe and comfortable. Very impressed,

My father was admitted to Melbury after a fall which led to him being admitted to hospital and subsequently Melbury. I had heard a number of good reviews about the home so was pleased when we secured a place. During all of the time my father has been residential, I have found the staff caring, professional
and a credit to their job role. They always take time out to answer queries and provide help, I can’t praise them enough. My father has developed some challenging behaviour but the home has continued, in difficult circumstances re COVID, to care and go above and beyond. I would absolutely recommend this care home to anyone either seeking admission themselves or for a relative or friend

My mum was admitted to Melbury Court in December of 2020 following a decline in her dementia. Since that time, all of the staff at the Home have looked after Mum and us, as family members, with great care and devotion.
They have accommodated, video calls, phone calls, visits, window, garden and inside
on every occasion this has been requested and I have always felt comforted that Mum's welfare and happiness has been uppermost in their minds.
I wish to thank every single member of staff for their care, now that Mum has passed. You all do a really tough job, amazingly well. Thank you so much from all of our family.

Finding a home for Mum was never going to be easy in itself. Melbury had been recommended but due to covid was not available and Mum went elsewhere which was not a good experience particularly as we were all trying to come to terms with her dementia. We moved Mum to Melbury as soon as possible in December
2020 and can say that she has settled in. The staff are lovely and no query or request is too small or insignificant. The family feel happy that Mum is settled, healthy and we do not have to worry about her care as the home and staff have been really great particularly in very challenging times.

My husband and I would like to say a very big thank you to all of the team at Melbury Court for the kindness and care they have shown Dad during such a difficult time. It has been reassuring to us and the rest of the family knowing that Dad was being well looked after and having his spirits lifted on
his down days, and I know there have been many! Now we are able to visit and take Dad out again he is so happy and his happiness is shared by the staff, all greeting him with a cheerful smile on his return to welcome him back home.
So thank you again for everything you do for him, you are true heroes.

Mum resided at Melbury Court for about three years; she became an integral part of the community, respected by residents and staff in equal measure. The care Mum received during her time at Melbury was fantastic. All the staff, from management to the cleaners, supported both her and the family. We can

In August my mum who had been resident at Melbury for almost 3 years passed away after a long battle with MS and various other illnesses. However, Mum had all of her cognitive faculties and had made close friends in the home as well as with the staff. I cannot tell you how much love my mum felt, she
was treated with respect, encouragement to persevere and genuine fondness by every single staff member. Towards the end, the staff talked fondly of Mum to us, and took care of me and my family as if we were their own. Most importantly Mum was given the gift of dignity and love in her final weeks. I recommend Melbury without hesitation for the kindness, love and genuine care all of the staff and managers gave to Mum but also to our family.

My relative has been in Melbury Court for six years. I have no complaints about her care. While on Lumley floor, my relative was very happy and enjoyed the company of the staff. The staff were always kind and caring.
My relative has been on nursing care most of this year and the staff are always helpful
when I ring up to see how she is. I have nothing but praise for Melbury Court.

During Covid 19 we have been blessed to know that our mam has been looked after by caring staff at Melbury Court. It was wonderful to see her face to face, to hold her lovely hand (unsure who was more emotional, the staff or me!). Mam has deteriorated over this time with her dementia but I know the
care provided is always genuine, warm and compassionate. It has been a very emotional and upsetting time for everyone but knowing that Mam is happy and settled, you cannot put a price on that. This is so comforting for our family and we feel totally confident, reassured that Mam is receiving the best possible care. We couldn't ask for any more. It has been evident that the priority of Melbury Court has been the safety of residents to protect and to care for them during this awful time. The measures that have rightly been put in place makes me feel safe to visit. The staff whom I talk with are always very helpful and cheerful, it's very much appreciated. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

I stayed at Melbury Court for short term respite care following a hospital operation which restricted my mobility. All members of staff were friendly, cheerful and approachable. They looked after me very well and helped me to make a good recovery. I always felt comfortable and relaxed in my ensuite
room, which was spacious, clean and well furnished with plenty of natural light. I was very impressed with the high standard of care provided and warmly recommend Melbury Court.

I would like to commend the management and staff team at Melbury Court for the ongoing support of my mother as she resides full time at the service.
As dementia continues to affect her functioning, the carers ensure the provision of a home-like environment, where she is well dressed, her dignity always
respected, well-fed and stimulated with a regular timetable of activities.
The regular news letter gives a great insight into the lives of loved ones, with photos, updates and an overview of life in the home.
The support that the residents received during the pandemic and continues now has been over and above.
I commend the home manager and her team for all they do on a daily basis, that gives me peace of mind knowing my mum receives the best care, at this, her most vulnerable time of life, and for that I'm eternally grateful.

Without exception, the staff have treated Mum with kindness, love, respect and compassion. Everyone who answered the telephone has been helpful and kind to me and my sisters Mum's relatives. We have been kept very well informed about changes in Mum's health and medical care has been sought when necessary.
Everyone we have spoken to has clearly explained what they were doing and why. The end of life care that Mum received was the best it could possibly have been and we as family members were cared for so well too. Nothing was too much trouble. The weekly newsletter also inspired confidence.

I cannot thank the staff at Melbury Court Care Home enough for the wonderful care my mother is receiving. My mother is at present being looked after in the nursing unit and I can honestly say that the staff have nursed and taken care of her extremely well. Everyone in the home is professional, compassionate
and patient. I am always kept well informed and nothing I ask is ever too much trouble. My mother always tells me how good the staff are and praises them highly. A huge thank you to everyone for their dedication.
