Tenlands Care Home

I am very pleased with this home. I can see a change (for the good) in my mam in just a few days of being admitted.

Massive thank you to you and your staff, it means a lot to me knowing my mother is getting the care she deserves in her twilight days. She's in a happy and safe environment and is well cared for by Tenlands and it gives me great peace of mind. Well-run home, staff so friendly, and greeting when I arrive.

Management and all staff do a very good job. Nothing seems to be a problem; all very friendly. Very clean and tidy establishment. Always happy to help with the smallest of issues.

Upon arrival entrance is always clean + tidy. When greeted all members of the team are friendly. Nothing is ever an issue if questions needed to be asked, everyone is more than happy to help. Housekeeping Bev, Joanne, Shemi + Lynn go above and beyond daily and are all very friendly. Juice is always offered before jugs are empty. The care home itself has a homely feeling to it.

Sarah and Kerry run a very good ship. All carers very good and helpful. Housekeepers run by Bev and her team very friendly also go above and beyond daily. John maintenance man also needs a mention on his work with garden plants hanging baskets which makes the home welcoming

Management team are very approachable I would not hesitate to say if I wasn't happy with something.

Found staff very pleasant, attentive and treat my brother with dignity and respect. Freshly prepared and balanced meals are available with tea and coffee in between meals. Facilitates are exceptionally clean; well maintained and beautifully decorated. Feel my brother is in a safe environment.

My experience in Tenlands Care Home has been excellent, the staff are friendly and will help anyway they can. The food is always great. Management can't be faulted they are always nice. Activities are always fun and engaging. Overall 10/10

Tenlands is now my mams home. When she asks, 'is this where I stay now?', I ask, 'are you happy here?' She always replies 'yes it is very nice'. Christmas 2025 was the 1st year that I could not spend Christmas Day with mam in her own home and make lunch there. I was asked if I would like to join the Tenlands family and have lunch with mam in the conservatory. A delightful surprise to which I agreed. We both had a wonderful time, mam opened gifts, we enjoyed a gorgeous meal (mam kept saying, and I echoed 'compliments to the chef!') and pulled crackers (mam won both rounds!) She had a marvellous, if exhausting day and did a little video to say thank you from her bed as she was worn out. Thank you to all of the Tenlands team for making the day so special.

We were worried about leaving her in the home but she settled in straight away. She regards it as her forever home now. All our fears of life in a care home were dispelled in Tenlands and we are comfortable with her well-fare. She also chats with other patients and keeps cheerful.

Excellent overall facility and carers. Highly recommend Tenlands to many. Thank you all for your care and happiness around each of your patients and residents. Love to each and all carers in Tenlands.

My mam moved into Tenlands in June, her mobility and dementia made it too difficult to stay in the family home. The staff are all very helpful and caring. Tenlands is very homely and Mam is well cared for and we, as her family, can relax a little, knowing she is in a safe environment and well looked after.

My mum spent one week in Tenlands care when her medication was to be changed. The care she received was excellent the staff were very helpful and caring towards my mum and myself. Would definitely recommend and Mum would be happy to go back if needed.

My dad came into Tenlands in February straight from the frailty ward at Bishop Hospital and I can't praise all the staff and management enough. They have taken excellent care of my dad and he is so settled it has taken the pressure off us as a family. Would highly recommend this home.

My Grandad has been living at Tenlands since the start of 2024 and the difference we have seen in him since leaving the hospital has been amazing. The team visited him whilst he was still in hospital and he wasn't doing well at the time. After about 2 weeks in Tenlands, he was like a different person. His dementia is progressing, which is incredibly sad to watch, but we have a constant peace of mind that he is getting the best possible care. We cannot say a bad word about Tenlands or any of the staff. They go above and beyond to look after every single resident and they truly care. Tenlands is clean and always smells lovely which is a huge bonus! Keep up the amazing work guys - you're all angels.

The home is an excellent standard. The staff and management are all really friendly and caring. Whenever I visit my brother, he's always looking smart and clean. The meals always look really nice, and he has put a lot of weight on since moving into the home. He has really got his appetite back since moving in. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Tenlands.

In the time my Mam has been a resident of Tenlands Care Home the support and care she has received has been over and above. All staff are so friendly and caring not only to my Mam but to my Dad too. My Dad is a regular visitor, and the care home team always look after him and ask if he wants his lunch with Mam. This is so lovely and enables them to spend quality time together as husband and wife. If I have raised concerns about my Mam the team have dealt with it quickly and effectively. I always feel nothing is too much trouble. The team are like an extension of family and also ask about my daughter and I too when we visit the care home too. Since Mam has been a resident I genuinely feel she is in safe hands, and very well looked after. I feel this gives me peace of mind and my Dad too. As we are rest assured that her individual needs are being met and her life is enriched being part of the Tenlands Care Home Community. I cant thank the team enough for everything they do.

My relative has been in Tenlands twice now for respite and on both occasions the care has been exceptional. Thank you to all the team for the care and support he has had during his stay. Everyone working there genuinely cares and you can see it is not just a job to them. I would highly recommend Tenlands Care Home to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

Positive experience since Day 1, a kind and empathetic team who have done the best for our Grandma despite some significant challenges. They've always put her welfare first and we can't thank them all enough.

My mother has been in Tenlands since September. The staff can't do enough for her and it has totally changed her life. We wish she had come in sooner. Mam loves going out on trips and joining in with the different activities going on in the home. The food is lovely and the only complaint we've heard from her is that she gets too much. The staff are really caring and the manager is always available to talk to if needed and helpful. The home is always lovely and tidy and not what we expected a care home to be. Mam always loves seeing the hairdresser every week now and feels more like herself again.
