I started my journey in care when I was 19 years old as a Care Assistant, and from the very beginning, I knew I had found something I was truly passionate about. Supporting people, building trusting relationships, and helping individuals feel safe, valued, and cared for has always been at the heart of everything I do.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to grow and develop within my career, progressing through roles including Senior Carer, Administrator, Residential Lead, Deputy Manager, and now Home Manager. Each role has shaped me both professionally and personally, and strengthened my belief in delivering care that is not only high quality but also genuinely compassionate and person-centred.
I take great pride in leading teams to provide the best possible support for residents, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and independence are always prioritised. I also value supporting staff to grow in confidence and enjoy their roles, as I believe a happy, supported team creates the best outcomes for those we care for.
I am currently working towards my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, continuing to develop my skills and knowledge so I can keep making a positive difference every day.
With over 20 years of experience in care, I have always been passionate about supporting people to live with dignity, comfort, and independence. I started my journey as a Care Assistant, gaining valuable hands-on experience and building meaningful connections with those I supported.
As I grew in confidence and knowledge, I became a Senior Care Assistant and later progressed to Deputy Manager. These roles have allowed me to support and guide teams, while ensuring high standards of care are always maintained. I take pride in making a positive difference every day, both for the people in my care and the staff I work alongside.

I’m the Home Administrator at Tenlands Care Home, where I play a key role in ensuring the home runs efficiently, supporting both residents and staff while maintaining high standards of care. I’ve worked in care home administration since 2012, gaining experience across a variety of residential and dementia care settings, so it’s fair to say I’ve seen a bit of everything!
I hold a Level 4 NVQ in Business Leadership and Management and take pride in creating an organised, supportive environment for both residents and staff. Whether it’s solving problems, keeping things on track, or just being someone people can rely on, I enjoy being at the heart of the home’s day-to-day operations.
I was also proud to be shortlisted as a regional finalist in the Great British Care Awards, which was a real highlight and recognition of the work I’m so passionate about.
