Tenlands Care Home

I am happy with the care my mother receives in Tenlands. The care home is local for the family to come and visit which is great. Everything seems to run like clockwork when we visit. Everything my mother needs is available within the home and she has now started to join in with activities which is nice to see. Initially when my mother first came into the care home she was quite unsettled and asked to go home most days but now she seems happy and content and spends a lot more time socialising with other people in the home.

My Dad has been in the home for a couple of months now. The team have dealt with the move from his previous home with thoughtfulness and compassion during this re-adjustment. Moving on from that, the team are clearly much more thoughtful and caring than the previous experience. He has settled down much quicker and better than expected. This gives my dad and the family the much needed peace of mind in these tough circumstances for all. One of the details which confirms this is the liquidising of Dads hard-to-swallow meals. He has lost his teeth, so this means he can enjoy the taste of meat, without the chew (pardon the pun). In my view it's details and the extra work that goes with that, which makes the difference here. Thanks to the team. Keep up the great work.

My gran was in Tenlands for over a year. the care that she received there was fantastic. Staff there went above and beyond. They took the time to get to know her and she was so happy and comfortable there because of that. They regularly organised fun activities (like trips out and themed days) and went the extra mile with tenants (eg nail painting, special visits etc) Staff were always so warm and kind and caring. They genuinely care for the tenants. It gave myself and my family peace of mind to know that she was safe and really happy there. I cannot thank them enough.

Whenever I visit at various times and days I am always greeted by friendly welcoming staff. The care home is exceptionally clean, and pleasant. My mam is always content, happy and well looked after.

Tenlands is a lovely care home with a friendly, homely& feel. It's very clean, tidy, comfortable and well-maintained. The Tenlands Team are friendly, caring and supportive and they always make Mum smile! Family and visitors are welcomed and treated with kindness by staff and nothing is too much trouble. There is a varied entertainment programme with something for everyone. Mum especially enjoys going to the hairdresser who visits the home once per week. The manager has an open-door policy and is happy to have a chat or answer any questions. We are very happy with the excellent care Mum is receiving at Tenlands.

My mother seems happy and content here which is a must for her family. Staff are always very helpful and pleasant nothing seems to be a bother. We are all hoping this will be her permanent home after a review with her social worker.

My mother was admitted to Tenlands in March 2023. We had cared for her in her home before this. We were very reluctant for her to go into care. When she went into the home after an infection then covid in hospital she could not walk and was doubly incontinent. During the next few months due to the care and support the staff gave her she improved and eventually got back on her feet. After this, my Mam really enjoyed her time in Tenlands. She had quite advanced Alzheimers and all the staff engaged with her in a professional, caring and I would say loving way. This is a major strength of Tenlands the experienced caring staff and the way that the home is managed which allows the staff to engage with the residents on an individual level. The activities at the home are fantastic and also geared to each individuals need ie pampering and one to one sessions with residents as well as an active social calendar. I would highly recommend Tenlands to anyone considering a care home for someone.

My husband stayed for 3 weeks respite at Tenlands Care Home while I was recovering from an operation and we couldn't have wished for a better care home. Thank you to all the amazing staff and management for your support. We will definitely be back in the future if we need care again for my husband.

A lovely place to visit a loved one.

My father-in-law has been staying in Tenlands for respite, so it's his first stay. I have to say, we are over the moon with the experience he has had. He has said the staff have all been fantastic. He has also been so happy with the food that he has had, I'm sure he will have put a stone on when he returns home. Thanks so much for helping put all our minds at rest through what could have been a worrying time. Brilliant service all-round.

We are extremely happy with everything about the home. It is extremely clean, all staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is a problem. Good choice of meals. Lots of activities for everyone. Couldn't ask for anything better and so good to know everyone is cared for.

During the time my husband has been a resident we have been delighted with the care and attention he receives. The staff go the extra mile to regularly entertain the residents which proves beneficial and stimulating.

One of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make is to choose a care home for my dad after it was no longer safe for him to remain in the family home. From point of enquiry we were given information promptly and the manager allowed us a look around, answering our many questions. He then came to hospital to meet Dad and he's been available to support ever since. All Tenlands staff I've met have been amazing. They really do care, which is a huge comfort. They keep me and Mum updated with stuff and he's well looked after. Food appears good, with plenty of choice, rooms are clean and good activities available. Thank you to all the team, you're amazing.

Dad has been a resident since Xmas and the management and staff couldn't have made him feel more welcome. Friendly staff, lovely room and amazing food! Also the entertainment program and decorations for every occasion are absolutely lovely, especially the balloon arches. The staff make the home look very welcoming and homely.

Will be back again for respite for my dad.

My father has been at Tenlands Care Home nine years and my mother also moved there last year. The staff always work positively with my parents, despite both being significantly impaired, and support both them and me. They are kind, friendly and provide a caring environment. The food is great. I am very grateful for the warm, supportive environment they provide.

The staff have been excellent with my mam she has put on weight and we can see improvement all the time. The staff have been really good with us making us feel much better about our decision to leave mam in their care.

Having been transferred from hospital to Tenlands, initially for respite and then as a permanent resident. Mum was looked after with utmost care and consideration. We felt that staff quickly knew her, they were aware of her likes and dislikes and spent time with her. As a family, we felt confident that she was being given the best care and despite her deteriorating health, staff showed compassion and care that at times took our breath away. She was treated with dignity during personal care. She had the opportunity to select from a varied menu at mealtimes. Unfortunately due to health, she was unable to fully integrate into social aspects of the home. Staff at all levels took care of us as a family as well as Mum for that we will be forever grateful.

The whole experience is well organised. The staff are very pleasant and always helpful! Thoroughly enjoying my stay at Tenlands Care Home. Well done everyone!

I'm extremely happy with Dad's care. The staff are lovely; however, I feel they work under a lot of pressure and workloads.
