Will always help you with whatever you ask them. Caring and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. It is a pleasant environment and very comfortable lounges. Feel relaxed about talking to management when necessary.

First time I have been in for a visit. Mother is so well cared for and dressed in matching clothes (colour coordinated). Delicious food and she is given a choice. The staff listen and act on request. The care and safety are excellent. She is seated on an alarm cushion as she has had previous falls. The best home I have ever been in!

Mother went for an eight-day respite stay and was treated amazingly well. All the staff we met were courteous, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we remained in contact during a family holiday. Overall, from making contact to arrange care to collecting Mother, we have received a professional, helpful service. We would highly recommend Tenlands.

My aunt is extremely happy in the home, although, since the pandemic, activities/weekly exercise classes have not really resumed, resulting in days being long and basically only watching TV. Outings again would be a good step forward, together with weekly exercise classes.

Thank you for your kind words, we are delighted that your relative is happy in our home. We are delighted to inform you that we have recently employed a wellbeing coordinator and she will commence soon and we are planning a full wellbeing program which will include regular outings and a weekly exercise class as well as other activities for residents to chose if they wish to join.

The care and overall standard of support are, as always, first-class. Unfortunately, Mam had to be moved to another room recently, and she wasn't very happy with her room.

Mam is treated with both dignity and kindness by all of the staff. She has been in Tenlands since 2018 and calls it home, which speaks volumes. Nothing is too much trouble. If there are issues then they are quickly resolved. The care home has negotiated the demands of the pandemic really well, catering for my mother's emotional and physical needs. Today the staff organised a lovely birthday treat for my mother's 93rd birthday. I could mention all of the carers but there isn't space. Superb teamwork from all the staff. Mother is very happy, as is the whole family.

Sarah HallJob Title:Registered Home ManagerJoined: 2024

I started my journey in care when I was 19 years old as a Care Assistant, and from the very beginning, I knew I had found something I was truly passionate about. Supporting people, building trusting relationships, and helping individuals feel safe, valued, and cared for has always been at the heart of everything I do.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to grow and develop within my career, progressing through roles including Senior Carer, Administrator, Residential Lead, Deputy Manager, and now Home Manager. Each role has shaped me both professionally and personally, and strengthened my belief in delivering care that is not only high-quality but also genuinely compassionate and person-centred.

I take great pride in leading teams to provide the best possible support for residents, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and independence are always prioritised. I also value supporting staff to grow in confidence and enjoy their roles, as I believe a happy, supported team creates the best outcomes for those we care for.

I am currently working towards my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, continuing to develop my skills and knowledge so I can keep making a positive difference every day.

With over 20 years of experience in care, I have always been passionate about supporting people to live with dignity, comfort, and independence. I started my journey as a Care Assistant, gaining valuable hands-on experience and building meaningful connections with those I supported.

As I grew in confidence and knowledge, I became a Senior Care Assistant and later progressed to Deputy Manager. These roles have allowed me to support and guide teams, while ensuring high standards of care are always maintained. I take pride in making a positive difference every day, both for the people in my care and the staff I work alongside.

I’m the Home Administrator at Tenlands Care Home, where I play a key role in ensuring the home runs efficiently, supporting both residents and staff while maintaining high standards of care. I’ve worked in care home administration since 2012, gaining experience across a variety of residential and dementia care settings, so it’s fair to say I’ve seen a bit of everything!

I hold a Level 4 NVQ in Business Leadership and Management and take pride in creating an organised, supportive environment for both residents and staff. Whether it’s solving problems, keeping things on track, or just being someone people can rely on, I enjoy being at the heart of the home’s day-to-day operations.

I was also proud to be shortlisted as a regional finalist in the Great British Care Awards, which was a real highlight and recognition of the work I’m so passionate about.
