My parent has only been at the 'Grange' a short while but having dealt with two other care homes (in other circumstances) which were good. I have found Ashington Grange to be excellent in the care of residents and their families. The staff and management have a unique ability to be extremely professional in their work. A very well run residential home.

My husband died in November 2016. As far as I am aware, he was treated well. The staff did their best to support us under the circumstances. As you will appreciate, I am very emotional at this time, especially having to adjust to the fact we hated living apart due to lack of mobility of my husband. It is the hardest thing for both patient and spouse and the biggest regret is that he had to spend the last weeks in any home even though practically, it was the only way to cope with his physical decline.

Although my Mam was only in this home for four days before her passing, the care she received was excellent. The ambience of the home was really very nice; the staff and home manager were courteous and friendly and you could see they had a good repertoire with the other clients. We as visitors were made very welcome at all times.

I visit most days and I find a very good attitude to residents from all the staff. Very attentive to a caring role and they allow contact by phone when requested. I am happy to express my thanks for the care they take of my wife.

Ashington Grange - care of all aspects of nursing and dementia is professional and understanding of the individual, in particular, the men's unit, personal involvement if needed and attention given is in a calm way. Activities are so important here, inside and outings. Food is also catered for the different stages of dementia by the catering staff.
We have access to communication to discuss our relative in care.

My personal life had been given a quality free of worry. I look forward to my visits there, it is my husbands home and mine when I am there.

My father has been very settled since being in care at the Grange. He always appears clean and dressed in appropriate clothing when I visit. Would like to see him taken out when they have their various trips out and about and have asked for this to happen. Staff are very approachable and answer any queries that I have. Staff make you feel welcome, offering you lunch and tea. I am more than happy with the care my father is receiving.

Myself and my family agree we have found the best care home for my husband. He settled here very quickly. He has been here for 8 weeks now and we have no complaints about anything. I feel he is very safe here.

My father has been a resident at Ashington Grange for just over 2 years and in this time has been very well looked after. Having suffered from a broken hip and being in a wheelchair. Thanks to the staff in Ashington Grange his rehabilitation has been excellent. He also likes the food and the staff he tells me always find time to make him feel at home.

My family and I are over the moon with the care and help that my wife has been given since coming to Ashington Grange. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the carers are very understanding and patient with the residents. I come to visit my wife every day and feel very comforted by the care and kindness show to me as well as my wife, and I know if I am worried about anything I can talk to someone and any problem can be solved. The carers and nurses are always busy and work very hard but I am always greeted with a smile and a friendly word, and I am very grateful for everything that they do.

The staff are friendly, helpful and caring. Their care for my mother is excellent, she is very well looked after. There is good communication between myself and the home which is essential as my mother is no longer able to communicate.

The home is very satisfactory; My wife has been a resident for approximately 5-6 months. The staff are very good and approachable. My wife has settled in well and has adjusted to her new environment well. The quality of the home itself is of a good standard. But we have been made aware the refurbishment is planned. All in all very pleased.

Ashington Grange has been my Mum's home for almost 10 years now, she is now at the end of her days and for the last week my sister and I have been at her bed side. The brilliant staff have looked after Mum and us with dignity and respect

Mum has been resident in Ashington Grange for 10 years. The staff are dedicated to the care of their residents from the domestic and kitchen staff to the carers and nurses; they are gentle, they are kindness personified, they are family. We have witnessed such generosity of spirit and understanding over this last week where our needs have been accommodated too as Mum faded. We also witnessed the same care and attention for everyone way above
nursing. All members of staff are wonderful and we cannot praise or thank them enough.

They offer way more than a job demands.
