My mother was admitted following a fall and a stay in hospital. We visited Hillside Lodge and talked to the manager and explained what care she required. We were shown a room which was suitable and had a full tour of the premises. We were able to put some of my mother's possessions - photos etc - in the room and were able to use her own bedding etc. She was made to feel at home and welcome at Hillside and settled down very well. Her privacy is respected and she is well cared for. I am always made aware of any problems or concerns.

Mother admitted for palliative care on a stressed state Friday evening. took 3-4 days to acclimatise herself to new routines and giving up some decision making. More relaxed now. Staff all cheerful and helpful but obviously busy. Nurse acts as an effective intermediary. Food reported good but not always delivered hot.
