Scarbrough Court

My mam came to live here after suffering a stroke in January. I could really not recommend enough the staff and the care provided by Scarbrough Court. Not only to the care they are providing with my mam, but the love and care for all of us as a family. I really would say they create a home from home, the cleanliness, the food everything really is 5 star. We appreciate the support of all the staff within the home.

Since my nanna has moved in (about 5 years ago or so now) I think she's had the best care and the staff are amazing. It's nice to know she's close by, being well looked after & the home has a lovely atmosphere.

I would like to thank everyone for making my mother in law and the whole family very welcome. The care my mother in law is getting is brilliant. She feels safe and comfortable for the first time in a long time. The food is very varied and lovely. She is even enjoying the odd glass of wine with her meals. The activities programe is varied and stuck too. She has loved seeing the pony, chicken & guinea pig.

I have recently moved my mother here from another home, I can not praise the home or staff enough. The difference in my mother in the last 2 months is nothing short of remarkable. Several of my mother's visitors have made comment on how lovely it is to visit her and to go to the home because of the friendly & homely atmosphere that is created by everyone.

My dad has been at Scarbrough Court for a couple of years now. He loves all the staff and says he feels safe and looked after. I agree 100%.

The staff here are very caring and always ready to help with any problems the residents may have, someone is always near at hand if any help is required. Staff are always very friendly and always willing to any problems that the residents may be concerned about.

Staff are always happy and cheerful and willing to help. Residents are treated with dignity and nothing is too much trouble. Activities are first-class and all occasions are celebrated. Rooms are warm and cosy and residents are encouraged to personalise them as they wish. All in all Scarborough Court is an excellent home from home for elderly residents.

My Mum has been at Scarbrough Court for 7 months now and I feel very grateful that she has a place there. My mum went from being an active, independent lady to needing full time nursing care after a significant stroke. During the last few difficult months the Scarbrough court care staff, nurses and management have all been so kind and supportive. Mum receives excellent care in a clean and pleasant environment. The food seems to be very good and the kitchen staff are accommodating of mum's complex dietary needs. There are also regular enrichment activities organised, which makes for a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

I have unfortunately had to visit three other homes over recent months and I can honestly say this one is by far the best. The staff not only care for my husband but are there for me also. I feel that they are my friends. There are many activities arranged and trips out in the mini bus. A party was held for my husband's 90th Birthday. I get the feeling when I go on that the staff enjoy their work. I think the 5-star ratings say it all.

I feel confident that my lovely Mum is good hands and well cared for at this time in her life, it's very difficult finding somewhere that ticks all the boxes and I feel like Scarbrough Court was a good choice. Thank you for giving her the kind and considerate care she deserves.

My dad received the most professional, caring and outstanding care in his short stay . Staff were attentive and intuitive to my dad's needs . As a daughter I could not have wished for more . My dad was very happy.. Scarborough court is a beautiful homely and caring environment. Staff are attentive , professional and are clearly there because they care . I couldn't have wished for a more perfect place for my dad to be in his final days and will always be grateful for their care

Every member of staff is approachable and always put the residents wellbeing at the forefront.

Our dad has only been at Scarborough Court for just over a week. The wait to get there was well worth it. The admission process was very easy which was helpful. The staff from the carers up to the management team have been so friendly and have put dads needs at the front of everything they are doing. He is settled into a lovely room, it's all lovely and clean. We trust them very much to look after our dad.

Mum went into Scarborough Court for just over a week. We couldn't have found a better place for her to spend her last days. The staff soon felt like friends to us as a family visiting. They were so caring to mum and ourselves. When we stayed late/overnight, they provided food and drinks for us. Their caring was so evident for us being there so briefly with mum. We couldn't wish for a better place for us to spend the last days with mum. Would definitely recommend.

Scarborough Court is a fantastic care home. The staff are wonderful, caring, patient and always have time to help with any worries you may have. The home sits in it's own grounds which makes it very pleasant to sit outside in the summer. There are always lots of activities for the residents to do. My husbands care is second to none. I am so pleased I moved my husband into care here. He is content and happy.

From the moment you enter Scarbrough Court, it has a pleasant feel. The staff are friendly and efficient. It is not easy handing over your loved one to someone else to care for them but it was evident they would be well cared for. I have no hesitation in recommending Scarbrough Court.

Our mother was put into another care home in Northumberland on Good Friday. As a retired nurse, I was appalled at the conditions, I trained at a Hospital in London. My sister and her husband visited Scarborough Court and asked my husband and I to view a room when it became available. This is the type of home we had no qualms leaving our mum in. It is a role model for elderly care.
