This home provides all that is required and more for the residents be they compos mentis or suffering from dementia. The home is overseen by a good management team which in turn are overseen by Freemasonry. The team and the RMBI ensure a smooth running and well run care home.

During December my Mother was very poorly with a nasty chest infection. My Mother is in her late 90's and we are very close. As she was so unwell I arrived early each morning and stayed until late at night even though I mostly could simply be with her. The staff were exceptionally kind and understanding. They listened to my concerns and were quick to call for medical help whenever my Mum's health deteriorated. I commend them for the care of both my Mum and myself.

Scarborough Court is professionally run by a very accessible management team. The staff who deal with residents are friendly, highly competent and above all, kind and understanding. I would definitely recommend Scarborough Court.

Scarbrough Court is ok as far as care homes go. There are good staff there but a shortage of volunteers eg., to drive the bus for outings for residents is a continual challenge.

Although staff are very caring and friendly they do not absorb message from friends and relatives to help in the life of the residents, for example, they leave my aunt in a wheelchair all day when what she asks for is time in an armchair/sitting in bed an continue to talk to when she is stone deaf.

Welcoming atmosphere. Staff work hard and kept busy, unable to give proper marking on food as resident in question is on special diet which is strictly adhered to. Medical assistance always on hand and appears to have good relationship with local surgeries and hospital. Not home obviously, but as near as possible to this in the unfortunate circumstances residents find themselves in.

Very good facility where people are treated with dignity and respect. This is a care home without the usual smells associated with care homes. Residents are well cared for and encouraged to engage in social activities.

The dining room, lounges and bedrooms would not be out of place in a good quality hotel. The staff are caring and go the extra mile to help make residents' lives better.

The residents receive prompt attention to calls for service, in addition to the routine personal care and meal provision. Perhaps additional mental stimulation for those people who choose not to mix with other residents and are handicapped in hearing and sight would be of advantage. However routine care and attention is very good.

Scarborough Court is an attractive, welcoming home where staff are fully trained to provide all residents with support and a high quality of care. My husband has severe dementia. He can relax in his large, ensuite room and listen to music when he feels like it and is also encouraged to join in many activities with other residents. My family and I are grateful to the staff at Scarborough Court for looking after him so well.

My mum has been a resident since December 2016 and loves it. She settled really quickly thanks to the care and support of staff and their encouragement to join activities. As her health has deteriorated they have ensured that she is comfortable, engaged and feels safe. She is clearly "known" by staff. I'm particularly pleased with the senior staff who not only take excellent care of mum they also ensure that I'm Ok too.

My Mum has been resident at Scarbrough Court Cramlington for 14 months. It has been a difficult transition for my Mum, from being independent and living alone, to full-time dementia care. The staff accommodate most requests, allowing personal furnishings etc. Entertainment is lacking and needs improving, especially with dementia residents. The care home has a new minibus that is rarely used, outings are few. Interaction with staff and residents needs to be improved. Cleanliness needs improving.
