Our care fees for self-funded and local authority funded residents are subject to a preadmission needs assessment which is a requirement of admission, so the Home can fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. The prices quoted are weekly and for guidance only. They will be confirmed following a full assessment. Respite care may be offered and is usually 10% above the permanent care fees, subject to availability and will depend on an assessment of a person’s care needs.

Very good facility where people are treated with dignity and respect. This is a care home without the usual smells associated with care homes. Residents are well cared for and encouraged to engage in social activities.


The dining room, lounges and bedrooms would not be out of place in a good quality

hotel. The staff are caring and go the extra mile to help make residents' lives better.

The residents receive prompt attention to calls for service, in addition to the routine personal care and meal provision. Perhaps additional mental stimulation for those people who choose not to mix with other residents and are handicapped in hearing and sight would be of advantage. However routine
care and attention is very good.

Scarborough Court is an attractive, welcoming home where staff are fully trained to provide all residents with support and a high quality of care. My husband has severe dementia. He can relax in his large, ensuite room and listen to music when he feels like it and is also encouraged to join in many
activities with other residents. My family and I are grateful to the staff at Scarborough Court for looking after him so well.

My mum has been a resident since December 2016 and loves it. She settled really quickly thanks to the care and support of staff and their encouragement to join activities. As her health has deteriorated they have ensured that she is comfortable, engaged and feels safe. She is clearly "known" by staff.
I'm particularly pleased with the senior staff who not only take excellent care of mum they also ensure that I'm Ok too.

to ensure small or personal items don’t get lost, which has now helped to improve the service. We encourage families to ensure that each piece of clothing is labelled when a resident moves in, and we also offer a label service where families can purchase labels for clothes. My Mum has been resident at Scarbrough Court Cramlington for 14 months. It has been a difficult transition for my Mum, from being independent and living alone, to full-time dementia care. The staff accommodate most requests, allowing personal furnishings etc. Entertainment is lacking and needs improving,
especially with dementia residents. The care home has a new minibus that is rarely used, outings are few. Interaction with staff and residents needs to be improved. Cleanliness needs improving.

Sorry to hear that you feel the entertainment is lacking. At Scarbrough Court, we try to accommodate different hobbies and interests by offering a varied activities planner. Our Activities Coordinators have also been meeting with residents to discuss any particular activities they would like to do following recent feedback. We are hoping to recruit some volunteers to support with the driving of the minibus, however, all drivers must undertake specialist 3-day training course to ensure the safety, health and well-being of our residents at all times. If you wish to discuss any particular concerns, please contact our Home Manager who will be able to assist you further.

My father came into the home in a grief-stricken distressed state. Within a short time, he settled and loved the family feel of the environment. The home is clean, bright and friendly, the staff are brilliant and caring.
The food is lovely and my Dad was well fed. He was kept clean and tidy and his
room was too. He loved the outings and all the activities they put on.
I cannot thank everyone for making my dad happy again.

I have been visiting my husband several times a week for nearly a year and in that time I have always found him well cared for and settled. Although unable to express his feelings easily it is obvious from his eagerness to visit the dining room that he enjoys the good food. This stimulation is helped
by the many activities and pleasant, helpful staff.

The home always comes across as well run, with caring, committed staff, who show they are interested in the needs of the residents and considerate to family members also. The Business Administrator was so helpful in assisting, with the application process for my Mother to be allocated a place. The nursing
staff have kept me informed of any concerns during her stay so far, and are always approachable. The staff caring for my mother, have also been keen to go the extra mile and do whatever they can to help.

When I first considered Scarbrough Court for my mum I was in a troubled state. I had lost my wife after a long illness and mum had been in the hospital for months and now needed nursing care.As soon as I walked into Scarbrough Court I knew that this was the best place for mum.


The building was light

and airy, cleaners were busy in the reception area and the place was spotless. I moved mum in straight away.


Mum has always been well looked after. Your staff have befriended me also and always make me welcome. Management set the tone for the organisation and Scarbrough Court has an excellent manager.

This is the first time I have been as I live in Essex and my mother has only been in the home for a few weeks. My first impression was on entering a very good one. It was immaculately clean and had a homely feel about it. No nasty smells either! I went back the following day for the Christmas fair and
everyone there all seemed to be happy. The staff looking after my mother were friendly caring and treat my mother with dignity.

Scarbrough Court is a large, pleasant and modern building it is clean and kept in good decorative order. It has a pleasant dining room and good sized common room. Guests are generally well looked after and are well fed. Staff are generally pleasant and willing to help residents.

This relates to the last few weeks of my mother's life. I was most impressed and comforted by the very high standards of love and care given to my mother as she faded away suffering from frailty and dementia. Speaking to various staff it was obvious they were well trained and very committed to ensuring

I always find Reception staff, carers and shift managers polite, friendly and very helpful if I have any queries. I am very confident that the staff know my aunt very well as an individual and are able to deal competently with any issues which may arise as a result of her particular dementia condition.

As an ex-firefighter, I've seen lots of care homes and Scarbrough Court is the best by far. I have no concerns at all about the care my father, who is 96yrs, is receiving.
All the pressure and worry my brother and I previously had has been completely lifted.
I would like to take this opportunity
to thank the staff and management for all their help.
