Bryn Celyn

My dad has recently moved into Bryn Celyn, and our experience as a family has been exceptional. Welcomed by all the staff and, in particular, the care home manager and her team. The staff have enabled my dad to transition from his home into his new environment to make him feel at home. There was a greeting card welcoming him, labelling all his clothes, a TV put up on the wall, allowing children/god to visit and help my dad to settle. The new environment and stimulation he is getting have lightened his mood and are having a positive impact.

I started living here on 10th April 2023. I think it is a wonderful place. I know that I shall be happy here.

Staff and carers very helpful, always on the case. Cleaners are constantly busy, rooms and halls immaculate. Windows cleaned regular, toilets and equipment are regularly checked. Bedding changed daily or when requested.

Very pleasant visit. My friend seems to be settled and comfortable and relaxed. She has all her needs taken care of.

Bryn Celyn is of a high standard. Care for residents is paramount, which is due to the excellent caring staff. Eight years ago my mother-in-law was a resident at Bryn Celyn, the standards were high then! I can safely say they are the same now with my brother being a resident. I recommend this care home to everyone that needs a residential care home. Keep up the fantastic work. Many thanks for all the care and attention you give to all residents.

The difference in my dad's health and temperament is unbelievable. We were discussing end-of-life care when he arrived in June now, 4 months later, he is thriving, happy, engaged and settled. This is all a result of the fabulous one-to-one care and attention provided by all the team at Bryn Celyn. Fantastic care is provided by all departments, every single day of the week.

All staff are ready to help you with anything. Polite and caring. A member of staff in the office is very kind and helpful. All the staff are amazing and doing a fantastic job.

As always, my visit to see my mother went very well. The staff are always friendly and professional and also try to be very accommodating. The building is very clean and tidy, inside and out. Overall, the experience is always very good and hassle-free. Well done to all of you.

I have found Bryn Celyn to be a very friendly place. Very clean and the staff are more than helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Every resident is treated with respect and dignity.

Since my mother's been a resident of Bryn Celyn, my family and I have been very satisfied and relieved at the level of care she's received. Every member of staff has been very helpful, attentive and caring, which has dispelled any doubts or concerns I may have had. Particular gratitude is due to the nursing staff, three in particular and I must make mention of the general manager who has been so obliging, welcoming, helpful and professional. In summation, the level of care has surpassed our expectations, for which my family and I are extremely grateful. Thank you all!

Having worked in Bryn Celyn, I know the dedication the staff have with the residents (I don't like the term service user). This is their home, so to me, this is their residence. Every effort is made to ensure the residents are cared for, both mind, body and spiritual. Regular events and celebrations keep them in touch with the world outside.

I come from Port Talbot, so I have made new friends in Maesteg. Everyone is great and the staff. We had a great day on Sunday for the Queen's Jubilee. Nice food and two smashing singers. The gardens are fine and I have got a tree planted for my son, he has died. I am happy here.

My father has been a respite resident since the end of May. We are absolutely delighted with his treatment and care. The staff and management are fantastic. Well done to all. I would recommend to anyone.

Food is very good, flexible menus etc. The staff are very caring, but often short-staffed. The activities are good, but often geared towards female residents. Top-up fee far too expensive and questions to administration team not answered.

The care provided is fantastic. My mother is involved in plenty of activities, along with the rest of the residents. The staff are very kind and caring and do a very good job. The residents health is a prime priority. Testing and masks are in place to ensure their safety.
