Nestled within the peaceful surroundings of Pencoed, near Bridgend, Glanffrwd care home offers personalised residential and nursing care to older people.

The purpose-built home has a beautiful tea room, hair salon and minibus for trips out. There is also a range of en-suite and premier rooms available, with something to suit all tastes.

Glanffrwd has a range of lovely dining areas where residents can relax and enjoy an intimate dining experience with family and friend. The catering team prides itself on making mealtimes a sociable and stimulating part of each day by providing an enjoyable experience for all residents and their loved ones.

Food was brilliant, large variety. Everyone enjoyed the party, everyone felt welcome, the staff were brilliant, especially one particular member of staff. We are all extremely grateful for the party.

Very good home, looks after clients very well. Good communication with outside professional staff, e.g. audiology department. Always hands client notes to staff to fill in what happened at the appointment so the family can see.

My mother was able to spend the last months of her life at Glanffryd, she was always treated with respect and dignity, the manager and staff became friends. We as a family were greatly touched by the staff's attendance at her funeral. Mam spent twenty-one months at the home and it is my belief the environment
and care extended mam's life when she had become very frail. The family will all miss you and your wonderful team.

Great standard of nursing care. The care staff are really kind and friendly but do seem short staffed. My father would sometimes like to have a chat, but the care staff are very busy. I always feel welcome and can call in at any time.
