Every time we visit Ty Gwynno we are blown away by the extra special touches the staff have put together for the residents. All the staff are helpful, welcoming and make us feel at ease when we visit. They are extra good with the children when we visit with them.

Ty Gwynno is a caring home with friendly staff that go beyond their duty and care. My brother has been there since January this year as he has Dementia and always lived on his own, he is a very vulnerable person. He always says he wants to come home, the staff say 'You want to stay with us' and are so caring.

Reply from Honor Keatley, Managing Director at Ty Gwynno Care Home

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and that of your brother. It is such a big transition for people, particularly for those who have been on their own. I know the team at Ty Gwynno will continue to support your brother in the right way. With best wishes, Honor Keatley Managing Director

I was so nervous to see my dad in a home as I live 12 thousand miles away in Australia I couldn’t wish for anything more the staff was so welcoming and dad looked well looked after. It was clean and I loved how the staff interacted with everyone. Even now me being back home in Australia whenever I ring they make sure he gets that call even if he is having a bad day. I am not nervous anymore he is having the best time meeting people and doing everyday activities. I would like to thank every one of you for looking after dad and giving me peace of mind.

What a fantastic review and so reassuring for other people looking for a care home who too, may live abroad. It's also lovely for the team to read your comments and to see what an important impact they have not only on their resident's lives but also on those of the wider families. Thank you so much for taking the time to write and for giving us a 5* rating! With best wishes.

Hello you lovely people, yet again I was very impressed on my last visit to see my wonderful mum-in-law. More improvements again, lovely to see the flowers that have been painted on the glass upstairs, and as usual very clean and airy. Staff and residents are very friendly and happy, just like an extended family, makes you feel at home. I look forward to visiting, so relaxed and comfortable. Updated signing-in system is digital, far better than signing a book. So you see not only the residents and visitors are their priority, security is high on the agenda. Well done to you all, it’s been a pleasure. I will rate you A** because you deserve it.

I can’t imagine anywhere better where my father could be. The carers are fantastic, especially the seniors, and he loves the food! I count us both as very lucky, as I knew nothing about care homes before having to make the big decision that my parents weren’t able to continue living at home 2.5 years ago. The fact that I live a long way from home means it’s that much more important to know dad’s well looked after.

Mum has been a resident for 3 years now. She has received the best of care since being there. Treated with care, respect and dignity. I would not want her anywhere else. Staff go above and beyond for their residents and the atmosphere is always cheerful. Cleanliness is 2nd to none and the fresh food they provide and prepare on the premises is good quality. Outstanding staff, who make a real difference to the resident's well-being.

My husband has been a resident in Ty Gwynno for 5 months and the staff are exceptional. They not only care for him, they look after me too and provide every possible means to stimulate and entertain their residents. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and inclusive. They treat everyone with dignity and kindness and constantly look for ways to support families and friends when visiting. I know he could not be in a better place.

Ty-Gwynno Care Home has a really warm and caring feel to it. All staff are very welcoming and professional and you know your family member/user is getting the best care that they can possibly have. A home where the residents are part of a larger family-like setting being cared for 24/7. Very happy my aunt is here, peace of mind that the staff really care about the service they give to the residents.

Ty Gwynno is a lovely friendly home, with a real family feel to it. They have gone out of their way on several occasions to make us as a family welcome and included, and my Dad feels part of the family still. There are regular events, theme days/evenings and you can tell the residents enjoy it. We have been included as a family in these events, again making it feel very family oriented. The manager and staff are really friendly and helpful, and you can see they care.

I couldn't think a home could be any better in my opinion, and it's nice to see they are also constantly making improvements to the home to make it better for residents and more homely. 10/10.

He transferred from another home to Ty Gwynno Care Home on Wednesday 19th of April. My wife (his sister) and I on yesterday's visit to Ty Gwynno were immediately impressed by the professional attitude and overall friendliness of the entire staff. Our daughter, her husband and their son, who is graduating to be a doctor next month, said they are 100% professional. So well done everyone.

Wow, wow, wow. My mum was a resident at this home for just under 18 months. The team were so brilliantly professional and friendly answering and accommodating all her needs. Then, unfortunately, my mum had to have end of life care after a small time in hospital and the Ty Gwynno team were even more awesome supporting her for her final weeks in March 2023.

Words cannot describe how grateful we are as a family and under the unfortunate circumstances we have experienced some of the best carers, nurses and managers with such strong communication skills, empathy and professionalism. The team here just go that extra mile. They say they are just doing their job, NO you are angels in disguise you went above and beyond in our view. Thank you so, so much Ty Gwynno Care Home you all will be in our memories forever.

My and my wife’s nan’s experience with Ty Gwynno Care Home has been nothing but positive. My wife’s nan has been a resident for the past eight months and has received exceptional care from the staff. They are warm, friendly and compassionate towards her needs. The staff always make time to listen to her and ensure she has everything she needs to feel comfortable and at home.
The care home provides a wide range of activities that keep her engaged and entertained, from quizzes and crafts to movie nights, my wife’s nan always has something to do. The staff also take the residents out for day trips, which my wife’s nan always looks forward to.
The food is delicious and home-cooked. My nan particularly enjoys the Sunday roast dinners.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the care home and the care my wife’s nan receives. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the well-being of the residents and I cannot recommend Ty Gwynno enough.

My dad has been a resident of Ty Gwynno since March 2021. He is very settled in the care home and is well cared for by the staff. The carers go above and beyond to ensure that Dad's needs are met. They inform me of any concerns they may have about Dad's health - communication is very good. This is important as I don't live close to Ty Gwynno. I'm very happy with the level of support and care that Dad receives.

My dad has recently become a resident of Ty Gwynno due to his dementia. My mother was also a resident at the home for fifteen months before she passed away in November 2018.
As a result, I had no concerns about my dad becoming a resident, in fact, it felt like coming home.

All the staff have welcomed him, and our family, with open arms and he is settling in well.

I visit my mum in the care home at least four times a week and on every visit, the staff are welcoming and friendly. They are able to answer any questions I might have, regarding my mum. They ring if they have any concerns about anything and do all they can to help. Mum is happy and content being there and well looked after. I have recommended the home to people who have asked me about it and will continue to do so.

My Aunt came to the care home in January 2022 after being in hospital since September. The staff are amazing with the residents always happy and polite and having laughs with them. They have also been amazing health-wise with my Aunt and they have called the doctor out immediately when they have any doubts at all. I couldn’t be happier with her placement here.
