Lovely and welcoming home. Staff are really friendly and the home itself is a calming tranquil environment. There's plenty of sunlight pouring through the windows and very it is clean and tidy. Thank you
During a very trying time, the management and staff of Barchester Llys-y-Tywysog have been amazing. The care and support they have provided to not only my mother but me as well has been exceptional. The facilities have been wonderful and the place is amazing. So, thank you all for the wonderful service you are providing.
Getting Dad transferred from hospital to the home was not without its issues. All caused by the incompetency of the staff at hospital and their "ignorance" of social and healthcare differences (complaint regarding such ongoing). The management and staff at the home gave excellent support to both Mum (also a resident) and Dad. They also supported me during this time and the transition. Dad has settled well. The care is exceptional. Staff and management are approachable, professional and go above and beyond. The home provides a stimulating range of activities and care. Excellent.
Lovely friendly home. Very clean. Lovely food. The carers all take time to care for the residents. Very pleased with the home.
I have found staff to be very caring, professional and helpful. Plenty of activities going on for residents and encouragement to join in. Food choice is excellent. All areas are clean and families encouraged to participate.
My mother originally came for some respite care which then changed to possible permanent care. The support from the staff and management team has been excellent. They have supported me in dealing with all healthcare professionals through what has been a very stressful and emotional time. The team always go above and beyond to support my mother and me. I would recommend this home, as it is outstanding.
Excellent experience. My mother has been well looked after and enjoyed her respite stay.
My mother in law was made to feel very welcome during her short stay at Barchester Llys-y-Tywysog. All the staff were friendly, kind and caring towards her and she enjoyed her stay very much.
My mother has enjoyed her time at Barchester Llys-y-Tywysog. It gives me great peace of mind that she will be well cared for when I next go away. Thank you very much to all the staff.
Thank you to the coordinator for helping set up the day. Thank you to everyone for making my mother's 90th birthday an extra special day.
The food was of a very high quality and delivered to the lounge in perfect time. Nothing was too much to ask.
Thank you.
Mum had a lovely day. I was nervous leaving her - but my nerves completely disappeared when I picked Mum up as she thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you for the warm welcome.
My cousin is a permanent resident here, she has a lovely warm cosy room which she enjoys spending her time in watching TV. She enjoys her food here and is always clean and dressed lovely. She has her own home comforts what she wanted from home and says the carers are very good, also the senior manager.
My mum came to Barchester Llys-y-Tywysog for respite care. The care she has received has been outstanding. Mum was taken ill while at the home and all the staff looked after her with dignity and compassion. They also cared for me to and reassured me. I cannot thank the staff enough. Mum's getting better thankfully. Mum was very nervous before she arrived at the home but soon she settled in and made friends. She will definitely be happy to visit again. Thank you.
This was Mum's first stay for respite. We had a lovely welcome, all staff very friendly, put our minds at ease as we were quite nervous leaving her. She was well looked after and she said all meals were great. We would definitely recommend Barchester Llys-y-Tywysog and hopefully, Mum can stay there again this year. Many thanks.
I feel more than happy with this lovely home and that my brother is being look after with great care. The management and staff are first-class, caring and very friendly.
Fantastic care home, wonderful staff, always happy to help.
We are really pleased with the general care and attention from all the staff here. My stepfather has settled in well and is happier than he was at home alone, even though he had visitors every day. His dementia means he doesn't remember anything much for long and he sometimes gets fed up but that's normal. He doesn't ask to go home at all.
When picking homes, this was the one I wanted for her and now she's here, it's been a massive relief knowing she's well cared for, safe and in a nice environment.
The day before Mum's 90th birthday, things changed with Mum's health which meant our original plan had to change. The carers were amazing and everyone at Barchester Llys-y-Tywysog went out of their way to help arrange a lovely afternoon party in a small room at the home. They provided refreshments and a cake for Mum at no extra charge. They help us arrange a local caterer for a buffet. They couldn't have been more helpful. It's clear they care a great deal about the residents.
