All staff, without exception, are friendly, industrious and caring.
One staff member stayed with my mother for a number of hours after their shift ended - following a fall.

Excellent activities and well run in all departments.

It was the first time in respite for my father, he has been very happy and settled in very good and has enjoyed his stay at Barchester Llys-y-Tywysog. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them to do. We will definitely come back to Llys-y-Tywysog if we need to put my father in respite again.

Following 2 major operations and a fall, I decided to go to Llys-y-Twysog for respite care. I loved it so much that I extended my stay by 8 days. The staff are amazing and really go the extra mile to take care of you. The food is excellent and the chef made sure that any dietary requirements were met. If there was something I didn't particularly like, he would offer an alternative.

Very friendly staff, great activities, food is of a high standard and a good choice is always available. Management and staff are always helpful with any queries etc. Residents are always treated with dignity and they have great support from the staff. All residents have a smile on their faces whenever I visit and that tells me it's a very happy place.

Very good service starting from the home visit. Everything was explained in great detail, found the manager very helpful with things relating to outside of the care home. The staff are very pleasant and hardworking. Mam has settled down very well and it's quite nice to know she is in safe hands and the cakes are lovely.

Very good. Came for respite after a hip replacement but have now decided to stay here and sell my flat. Excellent care which I so badly need, day and night. Very good standard of food, plenty of choices. The activities organised are very good, quizzes, music, games and physical activities. Various visits organised, I have been on two in my first three months here.

There is room for improvement in some areas but overall facilities, care, kindness and well-being for residents are acceptable. All members of staff are professional in their approach and understanding of residents' needs. On occasion, they are understaffed and pushed to the limit but still provide a good service. My main opinion for improvement would be more staff on each shift.
