My mum has been at Cherry Tree for two months from the first visit we knew that this would be the place for Mum. I cannot express enough the kindness and care that everyone has shown not only to my mum but also to me. I know Mum is safe and happy and she has made some lovely friends with the other residents and the care team. I would like to thank them all for looking after my mum and improving her quality of life.

My cousin has been in the facility for a number of years. The care she has received has always been exemplary. The interactions with myself and family members have been very supportive on occasions when there have been medical issues and difficulties regarding the resident's behaviour. They have aided us with information regarding getting grants for the resident, plus help with other elderly family members.

It is more a home not a facility.

Cherry Tree is an excellent care home, with wonderful, dedicated staff who have made my mother-in-law feel welcome and looked after. The building itself is comfortable and clean, and there is a lovely garden available for residents and visitors. Management are approachable and responsive if there's anything we need to discuss, and overall we've been very happy with the home.

There is always a warm welcome awaiting when visiting Cherry Tree.
The residents all look well cared for, and the staff are generally all on hand to assist if anyone needs it.

It’s now Mum’s 4th month at Cherry Tree. We’re on a long path which we'll get through because we have the support of the entire Cherry Tree team. The carers, nurses and management have taken so much time to get to know Mum and her quirks to make Mum more comfortable and happy.
The care is excellent – when doctors are needed, the local GP is very responsive;
The meals are tasty and varied (fab roast dinners and daily afternoon teas for visitors to share too!);
There are weekly activities. Mum’s enjoying film days. She loves having her hair done. She’s had a chiropody appointment too. Bingo is next.
When we’ve needed extra help with external dental and hospital visits – this has been offered.

Most of all, the Cherry Tree team care – they go the extra mile to make sure every concern – Mum’s or ours – is addressed. Cherry Tree is a family not "just" a nursing home. We know that Mum is in safe hands and she's in the best place.

Mum has been at Hallmark Cherry Tree for a year now. Staff went out of their way to make her feel at home, as it was a challenging time and she'd never experienced anything other than her own home and independence.

Food and activities are very good. Staff are approachable and helpful. Though at times they are short of staff. When Mum was poorly and also after a fall, outside of Cherry Tree, staff ensured the GP came out to check on her and she had medication as required.

I have found all the staff to be kind and considerate which means a lot as I was caring for my mother and you feel no one can look after her as well as her family. The activities program means so much to my mum as she was a very active person until her stroke. She loved water and was a good swimmer so a deep soak in a big bath she would love. Food is also important and the majority of the choice she enjoys.

Cherry Tree has provided a very caring home for my aunt now that she can no longer look after herself. The staff are wonderful and treat her with such kindness and dignity. The accommodation is lovely and communal areas are comfortable and are kept spotless. The staff know each and every resident so well and care for their individual needs.

Very attentive staff willing to go the extra mile to make residents and visitors feel comfortable. Always spotlessly clean and food on the face of it, with plenty of variety. Management is aware of the needs of each and every resident. Would recommend it most definitely.

My mum has been at Cherry Tree for the past 18 months, and, although she found it difficult to settle at first, she is now content due to the care and support she is given by the manager and the staff team. Mum was especially well supported in April last, when her eldest daughter (my sister) very sadly passed away. This was an extremely difficult time for Mum but the manager and staff at Cherry Tree were very sensitive and empathetic.

Such a wonderful place! Cherry Tree is a fantastic, caring and extremely friendly care home. All the staff, without exception, do an amazing job. They are kind, care-centred, hard-working, and go above and beyond to look after, not only the resident’s well-being but also family members too. At such a difficult and emotional time, the care and support we have all received has been invaluable. The amazing managers are helpful and reassuring, and we have all been treated with such kindness and respect by all the staff. Aside from this, the home is welcoming, safe and clean, and has a very accessible and beautiful garden. I can’t recommend Cherry Tree highly enough.

My sister and I couldn't have wished for a better care home for our mother. The house is bright, cheerful and well-kept. There is a very homely, comfy sitting room, and a pretty and well-kept garden. Even more importantly, the staff are wonderful, really caring and loving. There is also a lot going on, lots of people coming in to entertain, give exercise and craft classes etc. Our mother wasn't keen on joining in downstairs, so quite often someone would bring the crafts up to her room and make something with her. Nothing was too much trouble. When Mother arrived two years ago, she was underweight and had bedsores, within a couple of weeks, she'd put on weight and the sores were gone. If ever she was poorly a nurse would let us know. They were so kind and helpful to us when Mother died recently. Thank you everyone at Cherry Tree.

Overall Experience

My dad went into Cherry Tree Care Home over the February half-term for respite while we were away. I was so nervous about it as he had previously had a very bad experience of respite at a different care home. I needn't have worried. Everything about Cherry Tree, from the first contact to the actual care is first-class. During his ten-day stay, my dad put on 6lb (which was just brilliant as he had been off his food and losing weight) and thoroughly enjoyed his stay (he'd even booked himself in for another stay for when we're next away). The staff got his favourite beer in for him and he'd have lunch and a beer every day with some other residents and even had a bit of a sing-song with another guest one day. He's going to try the bingo next time as he regrets not having a go previously! The respite room was quite small which worried me to start with but my dad loved it and said it was cosy and wants the same room next time. I really can't speak highly enough of this care home - they are fantastic!

I am proud to be the General Manager at Cherry Tree, where we are dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and person-centred home for every resident. With over 10 years of experience in the care sector, I am passionate about promoting dignity, compassion, and the highest standards of care.

My journey in social care began with a desire to support older adults and ensure that everyone feels valued, respected, and truly at home. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to improving the quality of life for those we support and creating environments where residents can thrive.

Together with our dedicated team, I work to ensure that every resident receives personalised support tailored to their individual needs, preferences, and wishes. We focus on meaningful engagement, maintaining independence, and building strong relationships with residents and their families.

I believe that excellent care is about more than meeting needs—it is about creating a warm and supportive community where people feel safe, happy, and empowered to live life to the fullest. It is a privilege to lead the team at Cherry Tree and to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents every day.
