Staff are happy, respectful and dedicated to residents and their families. I've only known them six weeks and they embrace you as one huge family. The care home ticks all the boxes that I needed for my relative. I'm highly satisfied with all her needs being met. Nothing is too much bother. They all
go further for everyone. Thank you all.

We have had complete reassurance that Mum is in a home where she is well cared for in every way - personal care/nutritionally/socially, despite Covid restrictions. Her surroundings are extremely clean and well cared for; all the team are friendly and approachable and operate in a way that prevents problems
rather than react in a short term solution. When Mum's needs change, she is reassured that nothing is too much trouble.

Friendly staff. Cherry Tree Care Home is the perfect sized home in my opinion. Not too big, which would inevitably make it less personal. In very extreme times we have been made to feel very welcome during visits. We love that we can always approach management/nursing staff with ease and so any issues
are dealt with efficiently and always good humour (which I know they need in abundance)!
Beautiful garden which we have enjoyed all summer. Mum speaks very highly of the food which is a massive plus!
Thank you all!

Welcoming and friendly environment. Staff committed to delivering a high standard of care. My mother became a resident in May this year and she is thriving with the regular social contact from the staff and other residents, regular, good food and support for her well-being. She is also enjoying the
social events and is still talking about her 'fine dining' experience! As a family, we are relieved my mother is in a safe, caring environment. She has settled so well and is happy.

Cherry Tree provides entertainment, hairdressing and chiropody, and the catering is first-class - always a choice of menu. Visitors are made to feel welcome and
part of the Cherry Tree family. I am so pleased with the care that Mum is receiving.

Happy with way care home is managed. They have kept home Covid-19 free. Looked after Mum's increasing needs with dignity, care and compassion, this is due to the staff and management. Mum has been in the care home for two years.

My mother has dementia, but the staff at Cherry Tree Care Home always treat her with respect and dignity. They are a caring community where her nursing needs can also be treated. Regular visits from local GP's and allied health professionals mean a holistic approach to the wellbeing of the residents.
Appearance
is important to her and she is always dressed well with appropriate jewellery and clothes. She has her hair and nails done regularly, so she always looks nice and well cared for.
Staff are kind and fun-loving and there is always a warm welcome awaiting every time I visit.
There are lots of activities available but although she declines to join in most of the time, they give her some individual attention which is important to stimulate her.
The only negative I can comment on is that the rooms are small and they don't accommodate many personal items, although she has got lots of pictures of her family in her room.

Mum moved to Cherry Tree in September 2020 after being in the hospital. Outstanding COVID safety precautions were taken. Mum received a wonderfully warm welcome. Since then, her care has been excellent, and she is treated with love and dignity. Outstanding leadership from their manager and all the staff
follow her lead. They not only care for your loved one they care about you as well.

A big thank you to all the staff for making Mum’s 100th birthday very special. Amazing photos for the family to cherish. I would like to quote what her great-grandson sent. ‘It's amazing what they did to celebrate’. It’s comforting to know that she had such a nice day and the cake - well done to the
cook!

In this strange time, I am not able to specify a particular time since March. I have telephoned every day to ask how my Mum is. Whether it is the Manager or a member of staff who answers, it is always pleasant and they have taken time to speak to me. Mum has received comfort and support, as well as
exemplary care, through this difficult period.

The fact that the home has had no positive cases of Coronavirus demonstrates the high quality of care maintained throughout this period. I have also been kept informed by a weekly newsletter of the day to day activities being undertaken. In addition, there is always a member of staff available to discuss
any matters. I am fully satisfied with the day to day happenings.

My mother-in-law has been a resident in Cherry Tree for several years now and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The atmosphere created by management and staff is wonderful - always welcoming, inclusive and professional. My mother-in-law continues to be wonderfully supported through these very difficult
times of Covid and although we cannot have face to face meetings, we are regularly able to chat via online platforms. Would highly recommend.

Being made to move my father, who suffers from dementia, from his previous care home, during a pandemic could not have been easier without the support of the amazing manager and her staff, they are truly incredible, loving and caring and nothing seems too much trouble. I am kept fully informed of any
health issues that arise with dad and more importantly, dad sounds happy and content. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Cherry Trees, who after only a short time feel like family.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.833)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.833) out of 10 for Cherry Tree Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.833 for Cherry Tree Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (260 Excellents x 5) + (50 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 311 Ratings = 4.833
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherry Tree Care Home is based on 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 41 registered maximum number of service users is 8.2, which has been reached with 26 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I am proud to be the General Manager at Cherry Tree, where we are dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and person-centred home for every resident. With over 10 years of experience in the care sector, I am passionate about promoting dignity, compassion, and the highest standards of care.

My journey in social care began with a desire to support older adults and ensure that everyone feels valued, respected, and truly at home. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to improving the quality of life for those we support and creating environments where residents can thrive.

Together with our dedicated team, I work to ensure that every resident receives personalised support tailored to their individual needs, preferences, and wishes. We focus on meaningful engagement, maintaining independence, and building strong relationships with residents and their families.

I believe that excellent care is about more than meeting needs—it is about creating a warm and supportive community where people feel safe, happy, and empowered to live life to the fullest. It is a privilege to lead the team at Cherry Tree and to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents every day.
