Bankview Care Home is a 65 bed registered care facility specialising in dementia care.

The home is positioned within large, peaceful, wooded grounds and is conveniently located within easy reach of Stirling, Falkirk, Kilsyth and Cumbernauld and enjoys easy access to the M80.

All of the bedrooms have bright and spacious single bed accommodation with en-suite facilities for privacy and convenience. Rooms are located on one level and are complimented by four large lounges and a number of dining facilities, where residents can enjoy home cooked meals and afternoon tea with family and friends.

A varied activities programme is available to residents, and a number of dedicated reminiscence areas are located throughout the home to stimulate the residents' minds, and to help keep their memories from the past alive. The home has built up a fantastic reputation in the local community and often enjoys visits from Bankier Primary School and other neighbourhood friends.

A minibus is also available at the home for regular excursions, trips and visits to places of local interest.

Fees at Bankview will depend on the needs of the prospective resident; more information can be provided by the Service Manager in the home.

Bankview is kept spotless and fresh. There is a great company of staff where morale is high and the manager is hands-on and passionate about her home and residents. If there is ever anything to be dealt with, it is sorted immediately. My mother is well cared for and happy and has been a resident for

My mother moved within a tight timescale and the staff at Bankview could not have been more accommodating. The transition for Mum and ourselves was seamless. I cannot thank everyone enough for their support, guidance and kind words. The staff, food and activities have been great in helping Mum settle
into her new surroundings.

In general, the home is well run with two exceptions;
1) Shortage of staff, especially when residents ring to go to the toilet and by the time they get help, it's too late.
2) The food. Not very appetising and seems to have quite a few changes of chefs in the kitchen, I think they need more variety
on the menu.

Mom has been at Bankview for nearly ten years and the care she has received in that time has been excellent. Staff are cheerful, caring, compassionate and always willing to help should we need it.
I feel this positive attitude stems from the managers downwards. Would highly recommend Bankview for anyone
in search of care for their relatives. Well done and thank you Bankview!

I have visited a friend (resident) on eight occasions. I have always been made welcome by all staff. The care home is always clean and comfortable and have no criticisms to make as the standards are quite high all-round.
Good attitude by all staff who work well together as a team and a good atmosphere
presides.

There are many outstanding features about the care provided by Bankview. The rooms and facilities are maintained to a very high standard, the meals are well balanced but varied and there is a wide and diverse range of activities both inside Bankview and during the outside excursions. The rooms are always
warm - very important for my mother - clean and well-appointed. But perhaps above all, the salient quality of Bankview must be the individual care provided by the staff. The staff are eternally helpful and pleasant, they all relate well with each resident and since most of the staff live in the area they are familiar with the connections residents have with this part of the country. All of this builds a very sincere, caring environment for the residents.

My brother has been a resident in Bankview for six months now and I am very pleased with the care he receives. Since admission, he has settled in well and appears happy and contented. He enjoys being with all the other residents and watching what is going on around him. The staff have been excellent
in making him feel at home and he is always clean and tidy. He enjoys his food and the entertainment the home provides for them.

I was notified straight away when my friend had an angry episode. I was kept up to date with doctor and other medications they would try. I am always thankful that any changes to my friend's stay is always relayed to me.
It is so nice when I visit that staff know my name. Staff are friendly and very
helpful. Management and staff go out of their way to ensure friend is doing well.

My mum has been a resident at Bankview since November. During that time, she has been cared for exceptionally well. The staff are caring, treat my mum with dignity and are all exceptionally patient, supportive and friendly. My dad and I visit regularly, my dad also has Alzheimer's but is still at home
at the moment. The staff also treat him with care and dignity on our visits. The manager is extremely approachable and it is obvious she knows her residents well, her door is always open. My mum was quite unwell earlier this month and the nursing staff acted quickly, she was admitted to hospital for two days. On return from hospital, there were a few changes to her meds which the staff sorted immediately and listened when I had concerns. No one ever wants to see their loved one go into a care home, but I can't fault the love, attention and care all the staff have given to Mum since she has been there.

My mother was treated with top-class care all the time at Bankview. The staff are marvellous, and we have got to become friends with them when visiting. Mum enjoyed their company and compassion and loved her outings, her food and all the entertainment and activities. Mum's personal care was excellent;
I never saw her looking less than perfectly dressed and always clean, including her hair was always neat and tidy. I congratulate the management on their efficient running of Bankview.

We have been very lucky to have found this care home. The staff have been amazing. Settling my mum and making us feel at ease. She has only been there a short while and has done so much, outings, hairdressers, two birthdays with entertainers, dancing, bbq for open days and trips to the cafe downstairs
for a blether. All the staff make this place a happy place to be and so safe and secure.

Staff are fantastic and look after my mum extremely well. They understand her and know what care she needs and when, even though my mum can't communicate. They also make sure that we are ok and always have a chat and even offer a cup of tea. Bankview Care Home is as close to home we can have for my
mum and we are truly grateful to them all.
Our friend also moved into Bankview Care Home in February. We knew the care home and staff well, as Mum is also a resident there. Since moving in, staff have been fantastic. They have got on top of pain management and our friend is now able to get up from bed in her special chair and enjoy the activities and company in the lounge. Staff are exceptional and provide proper care and support. We would thoroughly recommend Bankview!

Since my mother's arrival at Bankview, the level of care she has received has been excellent. Staff have taken time to get to know her, and as weeks have passed, my mother has been much more settled. My mother participates in organised activities on a regular basis, and her overall demeanour has been
transformed. Staff keep us informed regarding all aspects of her care, and communications have been excellent. I cannot praise the staff highly enough - in the short time my mother has been a resident, they have been magnificent.

My mum moved into Bankview 8 weeks ago, and am delighted at how well she is settling in. This is mainly down to the staff and their holistic approach to care.
What has been most important is the personalisation from staff to explore, understand and identify my mum's needs and how best they can be
accommodated in a positive way.
Every staff member from domestics, reception, admin, carers, nurses and management put the residents first in everything they do in such a respectful and loving way.
There is a real warmth within Bankview, and attention to my mum's personal and medical needs is outstanding, with any interaction coming from a place of love and care to create the most positive experience.
The staff are first class and go above and beyond, including the entertainment team to ensure a variety of stimulating activities for all residents and inclusion of family members for internal activities and days out, encouraging independence of residents and days out with family.

My mum moved into Bankview care home nearly two years ago come June. My two sisters and I couldn't be happier with the care she receives. We were a bit worried about how she would cope with moving into a care home but with the excellent care staff, nurses and having her laundry done etc. The quality
of the meals is amazing, she always says that she enjoyed them. Her health is monitored closely and a GP would be contacted should there be any doubt.

My mum has been at Bankview now for 2 years. The care and attention she receives are truly heartwarming. The staff are caring, gentle and considerate and kind to name only a few of their many attributes. They are attentive and always on the ball with any changes to my mum's health and they react immediately
and keep us up to speed at all times. We tell everybody how blessed and thankful we are that she is being looked after (so magnificently) at Bankview. Thank you to everyone.

I find the staff and management at Bankview care home to be very professional and caring to not only my wife but to every resident in care.
The grounds are beautiful and the facilities are excellent. Members of staff are extremely helpful in ensuring residents are first and foremost in everything they
do. The manager runs a very high organisation at Bankview.

Julie has 21 years experience in mental health nursing and the health and social care sector.


She began working for Holmes Care Group as a Team Leader in 2007 and was internally promoted to Service Manager in 2011. Julie currently holds the following qualifications:
