My mother was admitted into Bankview mid October. The process was very smooth and hassle free. The staff are always cheerful and there is always plenty of activities for the residents. Mum loved the days where singing and dancing took place. When mum took ill suddenly and was in her last days the care and compassion from all the staff was exemplary. They are a credit to their profession.

My wife was a resident in Bankview for many years until she recently passed away.

The care she received during her time was exceptional, the empathy shown by the carers was a delight to see and was reflected by the responses from my wife. I cannot praise the staff high enough as each and everyone contributed to her wellbeing and they are a credit to their profession. Anyone looking to place a loved on in a care home should look no further than Bankview and I have no hesitation in recommending the care home to all.

I remain extremely happy with the care my brother is receiving. Especially more so over the last few weeks when his condition deteriorated rapidly and unexpectedly. The staff have been excellent and are doing everything to keep my brother comfortable, pain free and settled.

My aunt has been in Bankview for two years now and is being very well looked after. The care home is lovely inside. The staff are always cheerful. There is always plenty of activities and outings for the residents. Any problems or concerns are dealt with quickly. This is a great relief to us, as her family, knowing she is safe and well.

From going through the door, felt at home. The receptionist was so pleasant and helpful/ Met a male member of staff who could not be more helpful. We were given tea and biscuits as we had arrived, we were shown around and shown to the room which was lovely. We were very impressed, my wife even said she would be happy to stay there.

The staff go above and beyond to suit the needs of all the residents. Nothing is a bother to them and the staff are always friendly and cheery. They encourage the residents to participate in activities even if they seem unsure there's always a welcoming hug and lots of laughs to be had, and the parties are brilliant!

Could not ask for a better care home. The level of care and professionalism is fantastic. All the staff are so in tune with what my mum needs, it is great... When she needs to stay in bed, they still include her in activities and they know when she is not quite her usual self and stay on top of that... By far, I couldn't ask for better.

Like all relatives, my intention was, that I would care for my wife at home, till the end. My health made that impossible, and I researched Care Homes in our surrounding area, and Bankview came out on top. I was advised by a friend, and professional in the field of care, beforehand, that, 'No care establishment will provide the level of care that I provide', but, that they will do their best. Bankview provided a level of care that more than exceeded my expectations, to such an extent, that I was comfortable in referring to Bankview, as my wife's 'home address', where she was truly loved and respected, by all members of staff, and that from a man who would have never previously been comfortable in saying that. My wife passed away at home, in Bankview, surrounded by 'loved ones' (staff) and family. We are forever in debt to the staff for their professionalism, care, and love. I would highly recommend Bankview in such circumstances.

Having viewed Bankview before my mother was placed in the facility, I have no doubt I made the right decision to place her there. It has been a rollercoaster but the staff have been brilliant in looking after my mother's needs.

Bankview is kept spotless and fresh. There is a great company of staff where morale is high and the manager is hands-on and passionate about her home and residents. If there is ever anything to be dealt with, it is sorted immediately. My mother is well cared for and happy and has been a resident for almost 5 years.

In general, the home is well run with two exceptions;
1) Shortage of staff, especially when residents ring to go to the toilet and by the time they get help, it's too late.

2) The food. Not very appetising and seems to have quite a few changes of chefs in the kitchen, I think they need more variety on the menu.

Mom has been at Bankview for nearly ten years and the care she has received in that time has been excellent. Staff are cheerful, caring, compassionate and always willing to help should we need it.

I feel this positive attitude stems from the managers downwards. Would highly recommend Bankview for anyone in search of care for their relatives. Well done and thank you Bankview!
