Bankview Care Home is a 65 bed registered care facility specialising in dementia care.

The home is positioned within large, peaceful, wooded grounds and is conveniently located within easy reach of Stirling, Falkirk, Kilsyth and Cumbernauld and enjoys easy access to the M80.

All of the bedrooms have bright and spacious single bed accommodation with en-suite facilities for privacy and convenience. Rooms are located on one level and are complimented by four large lounges and a number of dining facilities, where residents can enjoy home cooked meals and afternoon tea with family and friends.

A varied activities programme is available to residents, and a number of dedicated reminiscence areas are located throughout the home to stimulate the residents' minds, and to help keep their memories from the past alive. The home has built up a fantastic reputation in the local community and often enjoys visits from Bankier Primary School and other neighbourhood friends.

A minibus is also available at the home for regular excursions, trips and visits to places of local interest.

Fees at Bankview will depend on the needs of the prospective resident; more information can be provided by the Service Manager in the home.

Our father entered his care home during the lockdown in 2021, moving from sheltered accommodation and latterly a poor experience there. We need not have worried as the home welcomed Dad into their wonderful place. We were so reassured by his changed demeanour, it was a delight to watch him regain his
zest for life. Two years on he is 'living the dream'. Celebrating his 90th birthday next week. We could not as a family have wished for better care, wonderful, thank you.

My mother was a resident at Bankview for just over 9 months and sadly passed away during the New Year following a stroke. The level of care and compassion shown by all staff, prior to and during this sad event has been outstanding. My mum experienced nothing but the utmost respect from all staff at
Bankview. Her time at Bankview was a joy, and the care and attention she received were visible in her mood and appearance. She was clean and well dressed, her hair was styled and she was smiling and engaged. Prior to moving to Bankview, Mum was distant and dishevelled. She wanted nothing to do with carers even though she was struggling. Bankview staff are so compassionate and encouraged Mum to accept some help. I am desperately sad to say that she has passed away but am overwhelmed by the level of care and comfort that she was shown in her last few days. I work with a charity that works with families of people with dementia, in my view, Bankview sets the standards for all care homes.

My mum has been a resident since April 2022, as a family we are extremely happy with the high standard of care being provided. The staff listened and have a good understanding of the care required for my mum. I have been kept up to date with any changes in needs and since my mum has been admitted she
has accessed hairdressers, G.P, and a podiatrist regularly. The reason why I scored lower on rooms is that I feel mum should have her own shower or bath, the bathroom is huge but she has a W.C.

My mum has been a resident of Bankview since January 2019. I am eternally grateful to every member of staff, from the cleaners, kitchen staff, maintenance, laundry, administrative, carers, nurses and managers for her care, which gives our family peace of mind in the knowledge she is being well looked
after. Everyone is helpful and friendly and seems to really enjoy working there.

My mother is in Rose Avenue and the staff are really caring and very approachable. I truly believe my mum would not be with us if it wasn't for the care she receives from the staff. They always show great respect to the patients and visitors and encourage the residents to take part in activities and
trees such as trips out for afternoon tea. Taking pride in their appearance with hairdressers and manicures.

The first impression of entering the home, was very welcoming to us. Staff was very friendly and obliging. Most enjoyable garden party, the catering was lovely which my friend enjoyed. Family and staff chatting and helping one another.

Every time I visit my sister in Bankview, I am made welcome by all staff who are working each day; they are always cheerful, helpful and very caring. The area I pass through is clean (no smells), and I always find my sister content, clean and happy. Bankview, although a bit tired looking, does what
it expected, it cares for those in its care extremely well. Whenever the residents are, there's always plenty of staff on hand. I'm very happy my sister is in the best of hands.

No prior experience of care homes but was very pleasantly surprised. Spotlessly clean throughout, superb rooms, great food and amazing staff who were very attentive, polite and courteous. My aunt is very happy at Bankview and has flourished since she moved in back in March 2022. The carers and nursing staff are always helpful when I visit. It's a pity that it is not possible to visit the lounge and dining areas when I visit, as this would allow me to have a better idea of how she is
in the areas where she spends most of her time.

I consider this home to be absolutely first rate in all respects. My mother recently passed away just short of her 102 birthday and she was happy, secure and very well cared for during her three-year stay at Bankview. We were informed every step of the way during lockdown. Covid control was rigorous.
The leadership appeared very firm but fair. The staff showed endless patience and goodwill towards my mother. I would not hesitate to recommend Bankview to anyone in need of this kind of service and I want to thank the staff for all that they did for my mother - which was a lot.

First and foremost, Bankview staff have made us so welcome since my Dad joined the Bankview 'family' last year. They have kept us well informed of his wellbeing and guided us through such a difficult time with compassion and support. My Dad is treated with the utmost respect, helped to maintain as much
independence as possible and he says he enjoys the good food which is a bonus. The standards of cleanliness are high and the ladies in green would brighten anyone's day as they go around their daily tasks. The carers and nurses have hearts of gold and are professional in every respect, we really couldn't ask for better! I would have no hesitation in recommending Bankview as a 'home from home' for a loved one when the time ever comes to make the hardest of decisions in seeking long term care.

My mum has been in the care of Bankview for approximately 6 weeks. I am very happy with the standard of care received so far. My mum looks very well cared for and she also says the staff are very good to her. The place is spotless and the staff are extremely helpful.

Since my husband was admitted to Bankview I am more than happy with the way the home is run. The staff are so dedicated and caring and I cannot praise them enough. The food is excellent and well presented. The activities staff do try to involve all residents which in turn helps with their fitness. I
am kept informed on my husbands health and wellbeing. Communication is excellent. Overall an excellently run care home. The staff are brilliant.

In the six-plus years, my mum has been a resident at Bankview I have been very appreciative of how well she is looked after both medically and in her personal care. Bankview staff are friendly, caring and treat all residents with dignity and respect. There is a warm and friendly ethos in the home and
as a relative and regular visitor, I am always made to feel welcome.
Management of Bankview is excellent with many long-standing experienced staff. I don't think I will ever be able to fully convey my appreciation of the care my mum is given, particularly in the past two Covid years.

My dad has been in Bankview for over 8 months now and has settled in well. It has been a trying time for families and care staff since the start of the pandemic and I feel the care staff and management have gone above and beyond to meet the needs of my dad. The care home is well run and also very welcoming.

We had concerns about my mum going into care as we knew it was not what she wanted but her dementia was taking over. The support and care the family and my mother received was excellent. Throughout the health crisis, we're going through the staff have taken care of Mum, kept her safe and have informed
us of how she's doing. We feel that she is in the best place with the staff doing a brilliant job we can't praise them enough from the domestic right up to the management. Many thanks to everyone. Great care home

Julie has 21 years experience in mental health nursing and the health and social care sector.


She began working for Holmes Care Group as a Team Leader in 2007 and was internally promoted to Service Manager in 2011. Julie currently holds the following qualifications:
