Bankview Care Home is a 65 bed registered care facility specialising in dementia care.

The home is positioned within large, peaceful, wooded grounds and is conveniently located within easy reach of Stirling, Falkirk, Kilsyth and Cumbernauld and enjoys easy access to the M80.

All of the bedrooms have bright and spacious single bed accommodation with en-suite facilities for privacy and convenience. Rooms are located on one level and are complimented by four large lounges and a number of dining facilities, where residents can enjoy home cooked meals and afternoon tea with family and friends.

A varied activities programme is available to residents, and a number of dedicated reminiscence areas are located throughout the home to stimulate the residents' minds, and to help keep their memories from the past alive. The home has built up a fantastic reputation in the local community and often enjoys visits from Bankier Primary School and other neighbourhood friends.

A minibus is also available at the home for regular excursions, trips and visits to places of local interest.

Fees at Bankview will depend on the needs of the prospective resident; more information can be provided by the Service Manager in the home.

The family were very keen to get our mother into Bankview as we had knowledge of the excellent care provided to another resident who has been there over a year. Our experience of Bankview and the staff has been a very positive one. Our mother, being very frail, passed away after only ten weeks - but
her quality of life was very much improved by being in Bankview. Going on outings, more mobile and surrounded by people who cared. Her passing was treated with care, tact and dignity. It was a great comfort to the family to know that she was well cared for in a friendly environment.

My mother received exemplary care from the moment she went to Bankview in October 2017. After being in hospital for some time and lying in bed constantly, the care home staff had her up and about and sitting in a chair daily and she even went on a trip in the mini-bus which was so much more beneficial
to her.


The staff were so friendly and caring and I always felt that my mum was safe and well looked after there. For a relative, this is a very welcome and comforting thing. You felt part of a wider family when visiting and this is a rare thing today. We were kept informed as necessary about aspects of mum's care and all the staff went above and beyond in catering for her individual needs.


At the end of mum's life, the sensitivity shown to her and the wider family was wonderful and was handled with a great deal of respect.


I always felt assured and confident that my mum was a resident in Bankview and will always be grateful to staff.

My dad has been a resident for 6 months and has always been treated with care and respect. The carers do their best for my dad and he is always clean and well dressed. The management and office staff go out of their what to assist in any way they can. I am happy to have chosen Bankview.

Very impressed with the care home inside and outside. All staff are very good with the residents and plenty of activities for the residents to take part in. The manageress is always on the go and my mother is looked after very well.

Staff are friendly and approachable. There is a varied programme of activities and outings for the residents. They extend a warm welcome to family and friends. Dad received good medical care and a doctor is called when needed, and we are updated. Staff work hard and do their best in a very demanding

My mum has vascular dementia , she has been in bankveiw for a couple of months now and has settled in really well now, the staff are excellent with my mum getting to know her ways & are very friendly everytime a go in visit mum she seems happy everytime a see her which makes it easier and is a very
warm homely place and spotlessly clean, it really puts our minds at rest knowing mum is ok and is getting well looked after

My mum has vascular dementia and has been living in the care home for nearly two months now. The home has a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. Mum is happy and has settled well, which is all down to the wonderful carers and management.
Mum is treated with kindness and respect and the carers are
getting to know her ways. She has a lovely room which is always clean anytime you visit. There are also plenty of activities for mum to be involved in.
I definitely feel better knowing that Mum is getting the care that she needs and deserves.

My wife has been in Bankview for over three years. When the family were looking for a suitable care home Bankview was top of the list and we have not been disappointed.
The staff have been ever so friendly and helpful to both my wife and myself.
For a while, my wife was refusing to sit down for her
meals. The staff would chase along the corridor with a sandwich or cake in hand to ensure she was not missing out. Fortunately, she has now got over this phase and appears to be eating them out of house and home.
Facilities are clean and tidy.
There are plenty of activities going on although my wife appears to enjoy the quieter life.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and tidy. I enjoy the activities offered but am not forced to do them if I am not feeling up to it. Meals are generally good and I always find something I like to eat. I enjoy when taken out on trips and I am looking forward to my Christmas

My mother has stayed in Bankview for 4 years.
She has a big bright room with a nice view.
The staff are very friendly and will do anything to help.
There is always lots going on to entertain the residents, which I am impressed with, days out, pantos, singers, musicians etc.
The areas are all kept

My Aunt has now been in Bankview for 2 years and during this time, the health care provision has been generally good, but about 4-6 months ago, major changes were made in respect of management and staffing levels and this has resulted in a much higher level of service in all areas.
I feel the new internal
management has made huge changes which now puts Bankview as a leader in this field in Central Scotland.
Prior to my Aunt going into care, we spent a lot of time checking out care homes in our area and Bankview was seen at that time to be about the best available, but, while in the 2 years my Aunt has been there, we felt things were reasonable good, noticeable improvements in all areas have been made in the last 4-6 months as a result of restructuring and a much-improved commitment by staff at all levels.

After a period of mismanagement from September 2016 - May 2017. The home is now improving under the interim manager. The staff morale is much improved, the residents seem to be less agitated and more relaxed. The recruitment process is now in progress with a few new faces. Activity staff are very proactive
with lots of new ideas being implemented to enhance the residents.

My husband has been attending this daycare for over 4 years and would have no hesitation in recommending it. The staff are outstanding, always professional, very competent with a good sense of humour. Most have been there several years so can cope with anything. The management are always available to

My mum has been in Bankview for five years now, the standard of care has been very good. There have been some issues but they have been resolved. The home is in the process of new management, therefore, improvement for the benefit of residents is very apparent.

My mother has been a resident in Bankview for over 4 years. She is always spotlessly clean and well cared for. Staff are always very caring and helpful, taking time to discuss her wellbeing. She is always treated with dignity and respect. Since new management has taken over I am more than happy

The care which my gran receives at Bankview is excellent. She is always immaculate and all staff are very kind and caring. They always take time to listen to our queries and concerns and have been especially supportive when she was admitted to hospital recently. Entertainment and activities are well
organised for residents and their families and the recent open day was fabulous. We are always made feel at home when we visit and nothing is a bother to any of the staff. I would highly recommend this care home.

I am the service users wife and carer and I know my husband loves going to daycare at Bankview. He has dementia and is unable to speak but understands everything being said.
He really loves going and the staff are excellent with him and me. They are always smiling and friendly and take good care of
the day patients.
Plenty to occupy them with different activities and well fed and taken care of.
I don't know what I would do without the staff.
Including the mini bus staff, so friendly.

Julie has 21 years experience in mental health nursing and the health and social care sector.


She began working for Holmes Care Group as a Team Leader in 2007 and was internally promoted to Service Manager in 2011. Julie currently holds the following qualifications:
