My parents have both only recently moved into Bankview. If there have been any issues the staff have phoned to let me know. The staff are always friendly and I feel my parents are being very well looked after. They have put us at ease and we are very impressed with all the procedures put in place due to Covid.

So glad we got a new place at Bankview, was our number one choice.

The home is pleasant - staff are always visible and accessible and approachable. The dementia village work is inspiring and a tribute to the tenacity of the service manager in raising the funds to enable this.

Bankview Care Home provides outstanding care for residents both in terms of their physical and psychological needs. It is evident that the staff show care and interest in all residents an treat them as individuals.

They provide a wide range of activities and trips for residents who are able to participate. Management are friendly and keep the family fully informed. We would be happy to recommend Bankview Care Home to anyone considering a placement for a family member.

The quality of care provided to mum has been exemplary particularly with her medication. The staff have been marvellous. Comfortable and cosy to live in and visit although feel the chairs look 'tired'. Care for people with dementia and sight loss could may be improved with more activities. Senior carer, management and staff have worked tirelessly to help mum become less agitated and unhappy. She is now more contented and happy and I cannot thank them enough. I am glad she's in Bankview.

My sister in law could not have better care and kindness than that she has in Bankview. The staff cannot do enough for her and are so kind and thoughtful with her. The nursing care is second to none. The manager is always open to talk about any concern or suggestion that we, the relatives, may have.

Overall Experience

The family were very keen to get our mother into Bankview as we had knowledge of the excellent care provided to another resident who has been there over a year. Our experience of Bankview and the staff has been a very positive one. Our mother, being very frail, passed away after only ten weeks - but her quality of life was very much improved by being in Bankview. Going on outings, more mobile and surrounded by people who cared. Her passing was treated with care, tact and dignity. It was a great comfort to the family to know that she was well cared for in a friendly environment.

Review from Louise M (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 January 2018 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother received exemplary care from the moment she went to Bankview in October 2017. After being in hospital for some time and lying in bed constantly, the care home staff had her up and about and sitting in a chair daily and she even went on a trip in the mini-bus which was so much more beneficial to her.

The staff were so friendly and caring and I always felt that my mum was safe and well looked after there. For a relative, this is a very welcome and comforting thing. You felt part of a wider family when visiting and this is a rare thing today. We were kept informed as necessary about aspects of mum's care and all the staff went above and beyond in catering for her individual needs.

At the end of mum's life, the sensitivity shown to her and the wider family was wonderful and was handled with a great deal of respect.

I always felt assured and confident that my mum was a resident in Bankview and will always be grateful to staff.
