My father has severe and worsening dementia. He came to Lomond Court having spent six months in another highly rated (not HC-One) care home. In the two months he has been at Lomond Court, he has become more engaged and more engaging. His quality of life is demonstrably better, due in no small part to
the staff taking an active interest in him as a person. As a result he can contribute to and hold conversations in a way that had been missing previously. His physical needs are well catered for and I do like the home's policy of encouraging their residents into communal space when possible. He tells me that food is varied (and it is certainly nourishing). The home appears to enjoy a stable staff compliment - some carers have worked there for 18+ years. They all take an interest in Dad and have put time in to learn his back story, so they have a number of connection points with him. I particularly like being able to turn up for a visit without booking. Many thanks.

My dad has settled into Lomond Court extremely well. We can't thank staff enough, from receptionists to cooks to care and nursing staff and activities people for their help and kindness to my dad and especially the excellent care he is receiving here.

I really could not ask for more from the staff and management since my father has been moved into the home. Friendly and kind, they go that extra mile to make my dad's stay easy. They all look out for each other and residents work amazing as a team to communicate down to all levels and everyone knows
everyone. Such a high standard of care given to my father. I am so thankful.

Staff are extremely friendly, kind and compassionate, always going above and beyond. The care my grandad has received has been amazing, you can tell by how happy and settled he is. His physical appearance - he is always well groomed. He has brilliant bonds with staff, they have really taken the time
to get to know my grandad, which is a relief knowing he is well looked after to a high standard. Team people who show excellent support.

My husband has now been in Lomond Court for nearly eighteen months and I would like to pay my respects to the manager and all staff in the way they have handled COVID. First-class and I congratulate them on this achievement. My husband is extremely well cared for and has settled which is a huge bonus
for myself and our family which is due to the hard and efficient work of all the staff. It is so comforting for me to see him at the window and his smile lights up my day. A massive thank you for all the care and friendship to give to our family.

The management and staff are so attentive in every way. Nothing is any problem at all. They treat the residents with care and respect, no matter the condition they have. I don't think I can add much more, except the food is better than any other I have seen. They get a recipe of choice at mealtimes,
the staff are so watchful over them at all times during the meal.

As a family, we are extremely pleased with the care provided for our mother at Lomond Court. It is important to us that Mum is treated with respect and allowed her individuality. The staff take great care to involve themselves with Mum and the whole family, and we particularly appreciate how responsive
everyone is and how much they want to help. (The only other thought worth mentioning, more to do with the design of the building, is that the lounge and quiet room on the ground floor feel a little tight for space).

My mother moved to Lomond Court on 19th December '19. The service my mother and family members have received is outstanding. After a few days, my mother was more relaxed. We, as family members, were also relaxed knowing she was being well looked after. Mum loves the food and her room. The staff give
mum one to one attention, spending time talking to her. Mum is treated as an adult and not as a child. I could not recommend Lomond Court more. Excellent care home, treating patients with dignity.

My dad has been a resident of Lomond Court Care Home for a month now, and I cannot fault the place.
The rooms are lovely, and the whole place is kept very clean. My dad is always clean and well dressed. The staff are very good at interacting with the residents and are very friendly and helpful to
the family. Management and admin staff are always on hand to answer any questions. Very happy with my dad's care.

All the staff are extremely compassionate when dealing with my dad who has Alzheimers and dementia. They all make our family very welcome when visiting, making a point to come and see us to let us know how he is doing. We were concerned about how he would settle into his new surroundings but he has
settled better than we could have hoped.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.930)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.930) out of 10 for Lomond Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 31 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.930 for Lomond Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (346 Excellents x 5) + (22 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 370 Ratings = 4.93
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lomond Court Care Home is based on 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 31 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
