My sister has been in Lomond Court Care Home since September and has really settled in well. The care and attention of staff and carers have really eased this situation for us all well.

Staff also keep us well informed of what's going on with my sister's care. She really enjoys all the entertainment.

When visiting my gran's friend, I found the staff very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Although I have not eaten the food, the menu looked very tasty indeed.

My friend came into Lomond Court Care Home last year. The staff have been absolutely wonderful with her. So kind, caring and friendly. Nothing seems to be too much bother.
I visit my friend on occasion and saw her today. She looks happy and settled. I was offered a hot drink and an invite to stay for lunch with my friend which I did. The menu looked appealing and the food was very tasty - mince and tatties.
The lady in the office is so kind. Always a smile on her face.

I cannot praise the staff enough.

My husband and I moved to Portugal last year and we were so worried about putting my sister-in-law into care as we had heard so many negative stories about care homes. We both are delighted with the care she is receiving at Lomond Court. Each and every member of staff is wonderful and my sister-in-law has blossomed under their care. I never worry about her and whenever I phone or visit the staff are so friendly, kind and above all so caring. Thanks from us to each and every one of the amazing people who look after her in such a special way. We are immensely grateful to you all.

Living in Cape Town, South Africa limits me to one visit a year to visit my parents. What a relief to have visited Lomond Court on this trip and to have met some of the caregivers, administrators and nursing staff. It has provided such piece of mind knowing that my Father is being looked after and is in the right place. Part of my visit involved my Father having to go to the hospital in Dunfermline and it is here I would like to highly commend one member of staff who accompanied us on the trip. What an asset to the home, a consummate professional, this member of staff was a great help in a stressful situation and on behalf of myself and my family would like to offer him our heartfelt thanks.

As a care home, I believe that Lomond Court Care Home cannot be improved. All staff - management, catering, cleaners and activities are of a high standard.

Dietary needs are understood by not only catering staff but also by those delivering the meals. Laundry needs are also fully met with a prompt and efficient service. Residents are encouraged (but never forced) to take part in activities organised and run through the 'wellbeing' coordinator. This includes all on-site activities but extends to a wide variety of off-site activities provided. In summary and in my view Lomond Court Care Home cannot be surpassed.

Staff/care & support/management: Excellent standard
Professional and caring attitude towards my sister and family members
Treated with dignity and respect at all times

Utmost praise and appreciation for all staff

Safety & security of the room: Poor

Bedroom door did not close properly thus allowing other dementia residents to enter at will. This posed a risk to my bed-ridden and immobile sister.

Standard of the room: Poor
Bathroom door did not close

Cistern did not work properly

The manager has her office at the entrance, therefore, sees all comings and goings. Always available for consultation. Knows the patients by name as does all the staff even the kitchen staff. The carers respond to all questions, are ready to assist when required. They are aware of likes and dislikes of their changes and this is essential in dementia - Alzheimer's patients.

The staff are patient, calm, no raised voices, sit with the patients in the afternoon and talk with them. The garden has plenty of seats for admiring the flowers - well laid out. Front of house is welcoming - again floral arrangements to attract the eye. No objectionable smell on entry.
