I have been visiting my friend for the last six years. In that time the staff have been very attentive to his needs. The staff have always been considerate, friendly and have always had a smile for me any time I visited. There is a sweet bowl at the entrance which is always full and you just help yourself.
All in all a lovely visit to see my pal. Excellent from start to finish.

I visit my friend every two weeks. As soon as I enter the reception, I'm greeted with a big smile and alongside the sign in register is always a bowl of sweets. The staff are very pleasant and eager to help in any way.
Top marks to a well-run care home.

As usual, when visiting my sister she was well dressed, clean and comfortable.
The staff were very welcoming and were well informed of my sister's condition when we asked questions.
There was a varied choice of activities listed on the notice board and on passing I noticed a resident being given a
manicure.
These small kindnesses can make all the difference to a resident's quality of life.

Always welcoming and helpful. My sister and I are always given privacy and staff explain how our resident sister is doing. She always looks well cared for in matching outfits and staff seem to know her very well. We feel that she is safe and that her needs are being catered for and adjusted as her dementia
progresses. We feel able to ask any questions and find staff friendly.

My Father has only been at Craigbank for 2 months and since the day he moved in, I have been really impressed with the care and dedication of all staff. I am always kept informed of my Dad's care and staff approach you when visiting. They are professional, caring and know what they are doing. I have
great confidence and comfort knowing he is well looked after. Well done to all staff. My Dad has improved behaviour and gained weight since coming here, he is lucky to be in such a caring and safe environment.

The staff are excellent at communicating and keeping families in the loop. They understand dementia and residents are treated with understanding and respect. As a family, we need to feel our parent is treated with respect and the greatest care.

Living over 300 miles from Glasgow, I, unfortunately, do not get to visit Dad as often as I would like. When I do come to see him at Craigbank I always find him contented, well dressed and groomed. His room is well maintained. Staff are excellent cheerful and very attentive. I rest easy knowing that
Dad is well cared for and happy in himself.

Craigbank Care Home provides specialist dementia care and my dad has been there for a year and a half now. The staff on the whole are wonderful and have so much patience with the residents. My dad now lets them take care of him which we never thought he would when he entered the home at the beginning.
Food is plentiful and good, facilities and cleanliness are good. Lots of activities and events too although my dad doesn't join in with these.

I went to visit Craigbank home in Glasgow to visit an old friend from Clydebank. The staff were great and I felt she was well looked after in the home. The reception girls were great, also as I had little to do with the area, I'm from the east end of Glasgow, they told me where to get the bus back to
the east end of town.

My dad has been in this carehome for 4 months now as dementia patient. His room is very nice. The care my father is given I am happy with. He is fed well and always clean and tidy. My only concerns is there isn't enough staff on and poor on activities. The staff seem welcoming and friendly and willing
to answer any questions, overall do good job.

I have been very pleased overall with the staff and facilities at the home. My father has been well cared for and looked after by some amazing people. I would certainly recommend Craigbank to any family in my situation. It's a very friendly and happy place to visit. It's the staff who make the place.

The staff, both in the dementia ward and generally, are very attentive. They provide a caring service to residents who are in varying degrees of frailty and mental disintegration.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.668)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.668) out of 10 for Craigbank Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.668 for Craigbank Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (194 Excellents x 5) + (69 Goods x 4) + (11 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 274 Ratings = 4.668
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Craigbank Care Home is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 registered maximum number of service users is 12.2, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
