My mum has resided at Four Hills care home, Glasgow for 5 years now. I cannot fault the care she has been given. Extremley helpful staff, and I feel I have built up a good relationship with them. I'm pleased to say, thelatest upgrade of the care home is great, and I'm very happy with the care my mum
receive.

Feel the home could do with a good revamp. Some of the rooms are in need of brightening up. The food is varied but there is always something, even a sandwich. The carers are very hardworking and very pleasant.
The activity team, "pink ladies", are absolutely fantastic with the residents, they always
have them doing something fun or days out. There's nothing these four ladies won't do for the residents. 100% my favourites. I am concerned about the security.

My relative is happy.
As a family, we are fairly happy but upset that my relative's clothing is missing. Her appearance is, therefore, poor at times. Be helpful if a member of staff would take responsibility for her clothes.

We are happy with my aunt's care at Barchester Four Hills Care Home. The only problem we have is that her clothes have gone missing in the laundry and we have spent a lot of money replacing them.

Security is better as the main door now locked and have to have a code!
Activities - could be more of them and to keep to the calendar. (Mostly cancelled - changes or my mother-in-law isn't involved). Yes, she has vascular dementia but she loves company! Feel the staff in the lounge should involve
themselves more with the residents. Most of the time they are sitting watching rubbish TV whereas they could get involved in wee games/chats/talks.

My husband has been in Barchester Four Hills Care Home just over two years. The care he receives in Firhill unit has been great. Also, the staff throughout the care home are very pleasant, they go out of their way to acknowledge my husband when they pass by and I love the smile it brings to his face.

My father has been in Barchester Four Hills Care Home for a few months now. Within the unit, he has established great relationships with most workers, especially four members of staff, in particular, who are led by the unit lead. These members of staff seem to go the 'extra mile' to ensure the needs
of my father are met. Such dedication gives my brother and I peace of mind concerning my father's well-being.

Barchester Four Hills Care Home provide excellent care. The entertainment team go above and beyond to provide the residents with daily activities which makes a huge difference. Housekeeping staff are exceptional. Highly recommend this care home.

As a family, we are very happy with the care our relative has received. She is settled and seems happy. The carers are all lovely and friendly and we feel welcome.
Our only complaint relates to the laundry. Dozens and dozens of items of clothing are missing. We cannot afford to keep replacing these
missing items. We regularly see her wearing ill-fitting clothes that are not hers. This is unacceptable as she has always taken pride in her appearance and has lots of lovely clothes that are now missing.

My dad has been a resident in Barchester Four Hills Care Home for a number of weeks now, he is getting a high level of care. Staff are great, the head of unit is so caring and helpful, as most of the staff are. I have noticed my dad is looking much better, he is treated with respect as we are. Entertainment
staff are brilliant. It's such a relief for us, as a family, to know he's getting good care with the clinical lead and staff.

My dad has been a resident in Four Hills for three months, following a lengthy hospital stay and a quite sudden deterioration from independent living to needing to be looked after.
The staff at Four Hills have been great on all fronts from the beginning.
The lady who showed my brother and me around
was informative and was frank about some areas needing to be decorated, this is ongoing and has been happening since my dad has been there too.
Dad is a resident in the Lambhill unit; the manager and all nursing staff, the healthcare assistants, and the domestic staff are a very good team.
The manager, nurses, and healthcare assistants have provided excellent care, and my dad is looking and feeling better and stronger since arriving.
There have been a couple of times he’s not been happy with something and it’s been dealt with quickly and sensitively.

My disabled sister was admitted after years of care at home. She was very poorly when she arrived but has since made remarkable improvement thanks to all the care she receives and all the homemade food that is prepared. She was very withdrawn but now enjoys all the activities. She is very well looked
after by all the dedicated staff.
We, as a family, feel she is now in a safe place. Thanks to you all.

John Cunningham

Job Title: General Manager

I am a registered nurse by profession with over 35 years of experience working in the private care home sector and I am very proud to be leading the team here at Four Hills.


My aim is to provide person centred care alongside the highest level of service possible to each and every one of our residents. Our team is focused on designing an individual life enrichment programme to ensure each resident has activities tailored to them and their individual interests.

I am extremely passionate in my job role and strive to ensure that my team work to the highest standards and share my knowledge with them to ensure that all have full understanding of what my expectations as the general manager are to deliver exceptional and compassionate care to our residents.

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager - Non Clinical

Tracy is the Deputy Manager here at Four Hills. She combines her expertise in providing not only first-class care in the home but also ensures that everyone is trained to a high standard ensuring that the team develop their skills.


Tracy was the BHC Divisional Winner for Care Practitioner of the Year in 2019. Tracy is a valuable team member for both Four Hills and Barchester and has worked with us since 1997!

Annie Murray

Job Title: Home Administrator Joined: 2014

Annie joined Four Hills in 2014 in the Laundry department before moving to the front-of-house in Jun 2015. After Annie's hard work and continuous support to the home, Annie was promoted to Administrator in February 2022.


Annie loves to interact with residents and families and does not only a great job at supporting our residents but our staff too.

Eileen Orr

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Eileen joined the Four Hills Family in 1999 and has worked in various roles since. Eileen originally started as a Kitchen Assistant, then moved on to Domestic, before moving on to her current role as Activities Assistant since 2017.


Eileen loves to bring joy to residents' lives by putting on meaningful and engaging activities. From in-house entertainment to trips out, our Activities team always have something going on to keep our residents engaged and stimulated.
