My mum was placed in Four Hills Care Home for palliative care until she passed away, she was angry at being unwell with a significant personality change. The staff group provided a very high level of care, were non-judgemental when she was sad to cooperate and understood that I needed their support too. The building is purpose-built, with spacious corridors and several sitting rooms, but in our situation, it was the quality of care that I considered the most important.
Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your mum. I really appreciate you taking the time to give us this review. I will be sure to pass on your lovely comments to the staff, many thanks.
Mum was transferred to the home from the hospital. From day 1 she was treated with respect and love. She laughed every day with the staff even when she found it hard to talk at the end. Everyone in the home looked after her as if she was their mother/grandmother. Thank you so much. I also felt welcome each time I visited. Again thank you.
Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss and thank you so much for taking the time to give us a review at this time. Your thoughts are very much appreciated and I will be sure to pass them on to the staff.
My mother is still settling in but already I see an improvement in how she looks, her well-being and her safety. All the staff are super caring and helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to send in a review. It means a lot to the staff, I will be sure to let them know how you are feeling. More importantly than that, your mum is settling in and doing well.
Extremely pleased with the care my mother receives, the staff are so helpful, pleasant and understanding. They are also aware and knowledgeable of my mother's needs.

Have great respect for all the staff, admin and management of this facility. Nothing is too much for them. They go above and beyond to make their residents as comfortable, clean and well looked after. For the short time my mother has been with them I am delighted to know she is safe, secure and well looked after as she will be there indefinitely due to illness and requires 24/7 care.

Staff have been great in making sure my mother has been well cared for after the recent bereavement of my father (also a care home resident). My mother feels comfy and treated as a person within Four Hills, this in turn reassures the rest of the family.

My husband and I attended a New Year party at the home where my mother-in-law resides. There was a duet singing and the home had put on drinks and nibbles. The place was busy and everyone appeared to be really enjoying the party. The activities staff were their wonderful self. Getting those up to dance who could and being inclusive of those that were in wheelchairs. We have been to a few parties now and this was one of the best. Well done to the staff.

Whilst my friend has only been a resident for a couple of weeks it is clear that the staff are extremely friendly and are always willing to help. Overall the home has a very relaxed environment and I've always been made to feel welcome. The staff also interact with the residents constantly which I find to be very refreshing and positive. Well done on that. All staff are constantly smiling and talking to people. I for one acknowledge that people/employees have concerns and issues outside of the workplace. It shows massive professionalism, dedication and love for the job when employees are always so cheerful and committed, regardless of what's going on in their personal lives. For that, I commend the staff. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your feedback, it is very important to us. I will ensure that staff are made aware of your very positive comments.
Kind regards.
I wanted to write this review to say how thankful I am for the care my friend receives at Four Hills Care Home. I have worked in elderly care as a nurse for many years so know what to look for. My friend is always clean-shaven, has trimmed fingernails and most importantly cared for in detail. The head nurse is always available to chat and makes time to see my husband and me when we visit. Well done. Four Hills-4 out of 4!
thank you very much for taking the time to review our service, your views are very important to us, and I am so pleased that overall, you are very happy with the service and care that your friend is receiving here at Four Hills.

My son and I were told about Barchester Four Hills Care Home by a hospice nurse who has a relative in the home after visiting other homes. We went to have a look and were completely blown away by the standard of care and attention by the staff. The home is beautiful and my wife has a smile on her face every time we visit. My family are delighted that Four Hills is the choice we have made to look after my wife.

Since my mother aged 96 years old, joined Four Hills, Barchester, almost three years ago, myself and two brothers have been very happy with the service they provide. The staff are very friendly and take good care of our mum. She has settled very well and although her sight and hearing is not good she is comfortable with her surroundings. A couple of things could be improved on ie. Quite often, when I telephone, I get through to reception, but no one answers in the unit and her clothes are often lost or mixed up with other rooms. These are points that can be easily rectified. I appreciate there have been staff shortages due to Covid and hopefully things will get back to normal. I would thoroughly recommend Barchester to anyone and have done so in the past.
Thank you very much for your review. I am pleased to note that your mum is settled and comfortable. We will ensure that we address the areas you have highlighted. Please pop in for a chat the next time you are visiting
My dad was moved to Four Hills Care Home - Lambhill Unit in June. Unfortunately, he was only there for just over a month before he passed away. The staff in the unit were amazing with my dad and all the family and made the last month of his life the best he could have had. They treated him with total dignity, and we can't thank them enough. They made us all feel so welcome and let us sit with him 24 hours a day in his last days and really looked after us all. I would definitely recommend this home.
Thank you for your review; it means a lot to the staff. I am sorry your Dad wasn't with us for very long, but so glad that your Dad's final days were comfortable and that you were able to spend that precious time with him. Once again, many thanks.
All the staff are so helpful, attentive and kind. My Gran is very well looked after. Beautiful interiors, complimentary tea and coffee and a delightful garden. My gran also says the food is delicious.
Thank you for your lovely review. It's great to hear your gran is enjoying her time at Four Hills. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. I will pass on your feedback to the team.
Mum has just celebrated her 90th birthday. Staff were all very helpful on the day - carers making sure she was changed and looking good, kitchen staff for organising afternoon tea for family and friends, reception staff for directing guests ensuring guidelines were followed etc. All guests have commented to the family since how welcoming Four Hills is and how impressed they were by the entrance, surroundings, staff etc. Well done, everyone, at Four Hills.
Thank you for your lovely review. It's great to hear Mum is enjoying being at Four Hills and that she enjoyed her Birthday celebrations. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required, and I will be sure to pass on your positive feedback to the team.
All the staff are very friendly and caring. My dad seems to be very well taken care of.

The staff are wonderful. They go out of their way to provide a home from home environment for the residents. My mum is very well looked after and I never need to worry about her care. They have an entertainment schedule to keep them occupied and often take them out.
The surroundings are tastefully decorated to make the resident feel at home. The food is wonderful.
My mum had always been very very happy there and has blossomed under their care.

Staff in the reception area are very good. Staff in the Firhill Unit are also good and helpful. However, there is one member who has an attitude problem and should treat visitors with more respect.

My mother was admitted to "Four Hills" just over one month ago. To date, I have been delighted with the care, attention and support given by the staff. My mother has dementia, and unfortunately, her condition has deteriorated over the last few years, but since going into "Four HiIls", she has been happier than she has ever been. The staff can't do enough for her. Throughout her stay, staff have kept me informed of her care, how she has been, etc, etc. This has been done both during my visits and indeed over the phone on days when I am not able to attend. As you can imagine, this goes some way to giving me peace of mind, and simultaneously, I can see this in my mother's demeanour and the care provided. To date, the assistance, care and attention given by the staff, including admin, managers, and care staff have been great. I would be delighted if this continues for the remainder of her stay.

My aunt was moved to this care home for palliative care due to terminal cancer. In the first two weeks, she fell twice and I was not notified. My aunt was there for four weeks before she passed away. Never at any time during those four weeks was a meeting held with me, her next of kin to discuss her care package. I asked to speak to staff and also asked through the social worker but no meeting was ever held. When I asked how she was I was told fine. I was phoned too late to allow me to get there on time when she passed away and she was in a room on her own with no staff present despite them knowing she was near end of life. My aunt died as I drove into the car park. There were three family members present and we had to sit in a public area visibly upset until they had checked if we could enter the room. The final straw was the day after when we collected her belongings the manager shouted from a room take care. She didn’t even have the decency to come out and offer us her condolences.
Thank you for your review. Firstly I would like to extend my deepest sympathies for your loss. I don’t recall calling out to your family when you came to collect your aunt’s belongings, however, I wanted to personally apologise if any offence or upset was caused by my actions. It would never be my...
