My Dad was brought in for an assessment. I found that the staff immediately made the effort to put myself and my Dad at ease and assured us that all my Dad's health and wellbeing needs would be taken care of. I found all the staff to be very caring and very professional in their approach. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone requiring help with looking after their loved ones.

I feel that the staff give my mum all the attention that she needs one hundred per cent of the time. My mum had a wee upset when one of her favourite carers was moved but she has got over that now and she gets on with all the carers, they are wonderful people and they all do a fantastic job.

My mother was admitted to Quayside Care Home on 22nd December 2017.
She seemed to settle quite well which was a nice surprise to us as her family.

She is happy and content and loves all members of staff and looks forward to her meal's every day.

I would please ask once again, please put more staff in each house as the one my husband is in is full and there is not enough and they are overworked and underpaid.

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Careline Advisor at Quayside Care Home

Thank you for giving feedback about the staffing levels in the home. Please be assured that our staffing levels are carefully calculated and Resident dependency and numbers are taken into account. The Manager will be very happy to discuss any of your concerns about staffing in full with you.

Staff at Quayside are caring and attentive towards my mother which is the number one priority for me. Facilities here are very good and she has everything she needs in a safe environment.

There is also a regular activity schedule of games and other events which she always enjoys.

Since commencing my stay here, I have nothing but praise for the staff - the quality of food and care. My only complaint is the lack of access to newspapers.

The staff are always welcoming and attentive. My brother always receives the best of care. The staff were quick to obtain emergency help when my brother became seriously ill. There is always a good homely atmosphere with treats and activities and something to look forward too.

My dad has came into the care home for a short stay while we waited on a care home becoming available. After a short time we realised that my dad had settled and the staff had formed a good relationship with my dad, that we are no longer moving him into the other home. As a family, we are reassured that my dad is safe and well cared for.
He is allowed to do what he wants when he wants and the staff support this at all time as he does not engage with activities, staff often visit him in his room.

The manager is fantastic and a great support to the family. She is very open, honest and welcoming as well as the clinical managers. All staff are a pleasure to interact with and we are very happy with the level of care.
