I like the scampi and the accordion music (I don't like Bingo). My room is always kept clean.

My mum was in for respite and the staff were brilliant, really caring. The food is excellent and she has put on weight.

My mum settled in at Castle View straight away and was made to feel so welcome. She blossomed for 10 months, the care was excellent. At the end, the staff were fantastic, so caring. I would recommend Castle View to anyone. Can't thank them enough.

A nurse is always on duty. The nurse and staff are approachable and ready to answer any questions or address any concerns in a positive manner.
They are always checking on him to make sure he's okay. As he's always eating they'll pop in and give him a sweetie.
Can't praise the staff enough, they do a brilliant job.

I found that the care and attention given to my husband was very caring and dignified and also the personal approach was very good, leaving him with his dignity. He was well cared for and his personal needs well cared for.

My friend/old neighbour has been here nearly 2 years. She is well looked after, the staff take her shopping to buy clothes as she has no family.

My father was in this home for almost a year. He was not the easiest of residents to deal with due to the nature of his illness - vascular dementia. The staff embraced my father and took the time to get to know him and care for him during his stay. Sometimes he had more smiles and chat for the...
The staff are very caring and always listened to any requests we had for my father - but at the same time treated my father with dignity and respect at all times. It was truely like a home from home for him.
An excellent care home with very caring and attentive staff. The place is always clean and fresh. The staff go out of their way to help with any requests.

My husband has settled very well in the unit. He is very well looked after by the staff. I find the staff very good and have no worries about him.

The home is dirty, residents sit or walk around in dirty or sometimes no clothes. Zero activities staff hard to find 98% of the time. No dieticians, why? Lead staff give up on residents as the end of life approaches. 1 member of staff in particular, at 74 should not be there, very depressing and speaks inappropriately. Upsetting family/friends on several occasions. There is no dignity for residents and the word care should be removed. Management is approachable and promise change, still waiting! Something on the floor we left deliberately to see how long it would take to remove, still there after 3 weeks! Unacceptable! Dust on the bed which we requested be cleaned, still there after 12 days. We should not have to clean on visits. Clothes often dirty and torn, mum sitting with breakfast over her at lunchtime. If it were not detrimental to mums health she would be moved to another facility. We are one very unhappy unsatisfied and angry family.

At HC – One we strive to provide a high standard of care for Residents and value any feedback to help us improve the service. Unfortunately on this occasion we have failed to achieve the standard expected and have put measures in place to ensure this does not occur again. Staff undergo a comprehensive programme of training covering all aspects of their job role and the effectiveness of this is reviewed during our supervision process.

My husband has been in Castle View since June 2016. The cleanliness standards are good. The staff are really good although on occasions under pressure. Any problems or concerns are quickly addressed. What we've seen of foods looks very appetising, but as my husband is P.E.G fed we are unable to comment. Activities could be better but this is due to one of the co-ordinators being off sick, this, I believe will be remedied soon. Overall we are pleased with Castle View and the kindness and compassion shown by all the staff.
