We cant thank the staff enough for the wonderful care they give my gran. Every member of the team is kind, compassionate, and always goes above and beyond to make sure she is happy, comfortable, and well looked after. It gives our family real peace of mind, knowing she is in such caring hands. We truly appreciate everything they do and would highly recommend Hatton Lea to anyone looking for excellent care for a loved one.

This review has been discussed with my mother. We are satisfied with the care home. My mother loves the conservatory where she has lots of space to meet visitors and other residents. She has settled into the routine following a disturbing couple of situations related to waiting times for staff helping her to toilet. She understands that there are other residents have similar mobility issues, and she needs to wait. My mother appreciates all the staff who help her. She is becoming more happy in her environment.

Both my parents reside in Hatton Lea care home and as they are in different units I have experience of the whole home.
My first visit to the home was a positive experience, I found the main public areas to be bright and welcoming and the staff to be engaging.
My parents have now been residents for approximately 9 months, during which time the staff have kept my brother and me fully updated instantly if there has been any change to their health, medications or any incidents of note.
The management team, the different care staff and house keeping are always friendly and approachable. They always take the time to have a quick chat or at least acknowledge you in the passing. The care staff are always able to give an accurate update on my parents health and wellbeing without having to consult others or go and read their notes, which shows me that they take a genuine interest in the residents.

The home has an extensive activities calendar running throughout the year. It covers daily group

My mother Pauline, moved into Hatton Lea in Sept 2025. Very quickly we realised that we had had made an excellent choice.
More than anything else we were pleased with the warm welcome and atmosphere at the home. The staff are very impressive - nursing, carers, cleaners, cooks, laundry etc.

The home is spotless and the food plentiful - thank you for making a tough decision a lot easier.

Our family experience of Hatton Lea was excellent. My mother was cared for with dignity , respect and compassion. All of the staff - admin , domestic , nursing staff and all others involved in mums care were welcoming and even when doing such a difficult job , were always smiling and pleasant. The standard of care was exceptional by staff who really do care. Staff provided help and guidance where needed. The unit my mums was resident in was well equipped and very nicely decorated which added to the feeling that this was a home from home for the residents there. There were also activities regularly and although mum was unable to participate it was certainly a good idea for the residents able to do so. As a family we were very happy with the care mum had at Hatton Lea and would be happy to recommend.

Sincere thanks to all the staff for making mums final time comfortable.

Very warm welcome from staff on arrival. Every staff member came and said hello. My mother was offered a cuppa, and off she went and didn't look back. The ward sister checked her needs, and we then went on hols. We phoned 2-3 times and got an immediate rapport on my mam from whoever answered the phone. Food looked good, also cakes!! Rooms and hallways were spotless. Staff were also checking residents.

I have nothing but amazing words for the Belvidere unit. The care my mum received was second to none. All staff from the care home managers to housekeeping are amazing. They all became a 2nd family to my mum, but were also there for my family when times got tough. We can never thank them enough for making my mums final few years happy ones.

I visit my aunt on a weekly basis and throughout that time the staff have constantly displayed a very high level of care, support and concern. My aunt is well looked after, always well turned out, well fed and provided with constant attention. It is also good to see the recent up-grade to the fixtures and fittings, repainting and new furniture. The staff do a difficult and demanding job always with professionalism and always aware of the importance of kindness and respect.

I am reviewing for my wife who has now been in Belvedere Unit for approx. 8 years, in that time I have seen staff come and go over these 8 years some really good and some not so good, but this has not been detrimental to the care she has had over that time. The renovations which have been going on over the past 2 months are excellent and brighten the unit tremendously. My wife's only complaint really is that the food, especially the soup, could be a bit tastier.
