Douglas View Care Home is located in the heart of Hamilton and offers residents nursing and nursing dementia care in a warm and welcoming environment.

From care assistants and nurses, to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is on hand to offer all the support that residents need. Working alongside residents as well as their loved ones, they design personalised and bespoke care plans that help to ensure each person is living life the way they choose, with the peace of mind that their care is always a priority.

Spending time getting to know residents' hobbies and interests allows the team to design a comprehensive activity programme, supporting each person to continue to do the things they love. For residents who are more social, an active involvement in the Hamilton community is also highly encouraged.

A spacious home, Douglas View has a cinema and bar for residents to enjoy as well as a selection of eight sitting rooms, six dining areas, a café and hairdressing salon. The lovely landscaped garden and courtyard, tended by some of the residents, are favourite spots to spend time catching up with friends and family.

This is a lovely home place is clean, and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Rooms are big with ensuites. My friend has settled well. They have days out and singers coming in to entertain you. My friend also enjoys getting her hair done.

Myself and my family are very pleased with the care and attention my husband receives in the Douglas View Care Home. It was his 80th Birthday and they couldn't have done any better for us, the catering was absolutely lovely, banners and balloons and a cake everything you would have got if you had booked
a hall. They have also taken him to Celtic Park and Hamilton Accies. Also, the tribute acts they put on are great. The staff are exceptionally nice and caring. Thank you Douglas View.

The care home is satisfactory overall. My personal experience is the staff are very kind and will do anything that you ask for your relative. The cleanliness of the home is satisfactory with room for improvement. The meals are sufficient for the residents and the staff will try to accommodate the residents
as best they can. The home provides some activities but in my opinion, this is where the care home lacks as I feel there isn’t enough to motivate or simulate the residents as I come in and they all just stare at each other. Think they are happy to see members of families coming in to have a blether. The residents could be checked more frequently for incontinence as I have come in and they have had accidents and they haven’t been checked.
