Douglas View Care Home is located in the heart of Hamilton and offers residents nursing and nursing dementia care in a warm and welcoming environment.

From care assistants and nurses, to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is on hand to offer all the support that residents need. Working alongside residents as well as their loved ones, they design personalised and bespoke care plans that help to ensure each person is living life the way they choose, with the peace of mind that their care is always a priority.

Spending time getting to know residents' hobbies and interests allows the team to design a comprehensive activity programme, supporting each person to continue to do the things they love. For residents who are more social, an active involvement in the Hamilton community is also highly encouraged.

A spacious home, Douglas View has a cinema and bar for residents to enjoy as well as a selection of eight sitting rooms, six dining areas, a café and hairdressing salon. The lovely landscaped garden and courtyard, tended by some of the residents, are favourite spots to spend time catching up with friends and family.

My mum and I want to say a big thank you to the staff in Douglas View for all they do. My mum has not been keeping well both mentally and physically the past few weeks and the staff have been great. The manager is amazing and so approachable. Unfortunately, we are all quick to complain and having a
loved one in care is so stressful for the family and sadly the carers and manager always get the brunt of it. I’ve seen how hard it is for the staff and I know the stress they must be under too. I just want to say how grateful I am that you look after my mum and I hope you know that you are doing an amazing job and I couldn’t do without you.

I really can't praise the care too highly, it's amazing. My brother has received and is receiving the most excellent care in Douglas View.
He has settled in really well and it is obvious he is happy and contented.
There is a wonderful atmosphere in the home and the staff as always friendly and helpful
and also available to discuss my brothers progress. Completely satisfied and confident about the future for him.

We can see a huge difference in my brother-in-law since he moved to Douglas View Care Home. He is getting back to being more like himself. The staff get him engaged and he has even started exercising which is great to see given his last care home left him to vegetate with little engagement. The atmosphere
in the home leads to a much better visiting experience for our family.

My dad has settled in well, he is happy, safe and is well looked after, he receives great support from the staff in the wellman unit, there calming friendly approach is always on hand when my dad needs it, even extended to the office staff when he needs a chat with isabell most days. The management
and staff keep us updated on his well-being on a regular basis. As a family we feel involved.

Mum has settled in great since she came in 5 weeks ago. The staff have been amazing with her and so helpful. They took a few residents including Mum to Parkhead for lunch and she absolutely loved it. She has settled so well.
