Douglas View Care Home is located in the heart of Hamilton and offers residents nursing and nursing dementia care in a warm and welcoming environment.

From care assistants and nurses, to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is on hand to offer all the support that residents need. Working alongside residents as well as their loved ones, they design personalised and bespoke care plans that help to ensure each person is living life the way they choose, with the peace of mind that their care is always a priority.

Spending time getting to know residents' hobbies and interests allows the team to design a comprehensive activity programme, supporting each person to continue to do the things they love. For residents who are more social, an active involvement in the Hamilton community is also highly encouraged.

A spacious home, Douglas View has a cinema and bar for residents to enjoy as well as a selection of eight sitting rooms, six dining areas, a café and hairdressing salon. The lovely landscaped garden and courtyard, tended by some of the residents, are favourite spots to spend time catching up with friends and family.

Since my mum became part of the Douglas View family I have seen how Mum has enjoyed a new lease of life. Mum has a wonderful relationship with Douglas View staff, who are very friendly and attentive. Staff are always very approachable and knowledgeable and my mum always reacts positively when staff

My mother has been given the most amazing welcome by staff and residents since her recent arrival at Douglas View Care Home. The warmth, friendliness and compassion of staff have helped my mum settle in extremely quickly and after only one week I already see an improvement in her.

Dad has been in the home for two and a half years now and all the staff continue to support him with dignity and love.
The kindness over the last four weeks, when he was particularly ill, that they showed to Dad and myself will never be forgotten. Everyone in the unit, including the office staff, always
show patience and reassurance to both Dad and myself.
The staff continue to love and support Dad like one of their own.

Coming in here gave me my life back. I can't change what happened this place saved me after my mum passed away. My main goal is to one day go home and be a full-time mum again. I had 2 brain aneurysms and I don't remember coming in here but I am a bit better now and the staff are truly wonderful and so very kind to us all. Every week while visiting my mum, I have encountered very friendly, helpful and caring staff - the very first day that I had a visit with my mum after a long and hard lockdown was very emotional but the staff were amazing not only to my mum but also with me, asking if I was alright and assuring me that
mum was doing fine. This is very comforting, I can not speak highly enough regarding staff.
