Douglas View Care Home is located in the heart of Hamilton and offers residents nursing and nursing dementia care in a warm and welcoming environment.

From care assistants and nurses, to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is on hand to offer all the support that residents need. Working alongside residents as well as their loved ones, they design personalised and bespoke care plans that help to ensure each person is living life the way they choose, with the peace of mind that their care is always a priority.

Spending time getting to know residents' hobbies and interests allows the team to design a comprehensive activity programme, supporting each person to continue to do the things they love. For residents who are more social, an active involvement in the Hamilton community is also highly encouraged.

A spacious home, Douglas View has a cinema and bar for residents to enjoy as well as a selection of eight sitting rooms, six dining areas, a café and hairdressing salon. The lovely landscaped garden and courtyard, tended by some of the residents, are favourite spots to spend time catching up with friends and family.

Welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff. Look after all my mother's needs, this was the 3rd home for mum and she settled in right away. Nothing too much for the staff. Lots of activities too, even with Covid restrictions.

Having carried out a great deal of research on many care homes prior to applying for a place at Douglas View for our Mum, we could not have chosen better! We are so grateful that Mum was able to spend the last 5 weeks of her life in such a caring and compassionate environment. All staff are committed
and dedicated to their work, and Mum was treated with the greatest of love, dignity and care. The staff are truly inspirational and we cannot thank them enough!

I have been in Douglas View since August 2020. I have enjoyed being here, the staff are all nice and pleasant. The bingo, having my own time to do my hobby (oil painting). The chef is good, sometimes activities are good, always keep me busy.

I came in here to be rehabilitated after I had 2 major aneurysms and had operations in my brain. The staff have been amazing! They are so kind and very caring. I don't know what I would have done without this rehabilitation unit and their amazing staff. I owe everything to them and can't thank them,
all the staff in here, enough for giving me back my life. THANK YOU STAFF!

Fount it hard when I came in, coming here saved me. I have excepted all the bad things like family issues, Mum's passing and everything else. The staff have been supportive and I have a good relationship with them. They are very caring.

My brother was very happy during the few years he was a resident at Douglas View Care Home. The care he received there was excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They have an amazing program of activities and environments which he really enjoyed taking part in. Despite the progression
of his dementia, he seemed to flourish under their support and encouragement. The staff were excellent at keeping me informed about aspects of his care on a regular basis. I am very grateful to everyone for helping him to make the most of his time at Douglas View Care Home.
