Douglas View Care Home is located in the heart of Hamilton and offers residents nursing and nursing dementia care in a warm and welcoming environment.

From care assistants and nurses, to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is on hand to offer all the support that residents need. Working alongside residents as well as their loved ones, they design personalised and bespoke care plans that help to ensure each person is living life the way they choose, with the peace of mind that their care is always a priority.

Spending time getting to know residents' hobbies and interests allows the team to design a comprehensive activity programme, supporting each person to continue to do the things they love. For residents who are more social, an active involvement in the Hamilton community is also highly encouraged.

A spacious home, Douglas View has a cinema and bar for residents to enjoy as well as a selection of eight sitting rooms, six dining areas, a café and hairdressing salon. The lovely landscaped garden and courtyard, tended by some of the residents, are favourite spots to spend time catching up with friends and family.

My aunt is well looked after in the care home. If I have any questions or looking for advice, the staff are able to help. They are approachable, friendly and caring. The manager has kept relatives up to date and has spent time with residents and their families, involving them asking their opinions.
The home is clean with a choice of food and nice decor. The staff spend time with the residents and have a jovial manner while respecting them.

I sent Mum some flowers to cheer her up and one particular carer from the home sent me pictures and also FaceTimed. Very emotional and really nice of her to go the extra mile to do that for us, was a great surprise, she is a credit to the team at Douglas View.

Absolutely fantastic. Excellent staff all round. I was only here a short time but everyone was first class. I don't really want to leave but I have a fresh start. Thank you for making me welcome and for all your care and support.

My father was at Douglas View Care Home for 11 months until he passed away. I found the staff to be very welcoming and open no matter what time of day I visited. My father was a very difficult man and I always found all the staff were extremely professional and caring at all times.

I cannot praise my stay highly enough, all the staff, day and night shifts were excellent, they were very thoughtful, caring and helpful, from the day I arrived until the day I left. As for the activities I wasn't able to join in as I was in bed all the time, as I can hardly walk except with a Zimmer
and the food was excellent. Unfortunately they wouldn't let the chef come home with me. As for the bathroom it was like a brand new room, it was lovely.

I am really happy with the care my gran receives. I was very nervous when the decision was made. I was worried her health might decline. The opposite has happened, my gran is happier than she has been in decades. the activities are often and keep her entertained. I am thankful for the staff for looking
after her and giving her an excellent quality of life.

Staff working as a team in all the residents best interests. Lots of interaction between residents and staff. Personal care carried out with the individual resident's dignity uppermost in the staff's working practice. There is always laughter and plenty of hugs and affection shown by staff to residents.

are warmly welcomed and any concerns dealt with promptly.
As a family, we are delighted with our choice of this home for our loved one.

My brother recently died after four years of excellent care at Douglas View. I want to thank the amazing, caring staff in the McLelland Unit and more recently in the Cadzow Unit, where he received kind and compassionate end-of-life care.
They went above and beyond on many occasions and I will always
be grateful for the way in which they enhanced his quality of life in his last few years.
