A spacious home, Douglas View has a cinema and bar for residents to enjoy as well as a selection of eight sitting rooms, six dining areas, a café and hairdressing salon. The lovely landscaped garden and courtyard, tended by some of the residents, are favourite spots to spend time catching up with friends and family.

My father was at Douglas View Care Home for 11 months until he passed away. I found the staff to be very welcoming and open no matter what time of day I visited. My father was a very difficult man and I always found all the staff were extremely professional and caring at all times.

I cannot praise my stay highly enough, all the staff, day and night shifts were excellent, they were very thoughtful, caring and helpful, from the day I arrived until the day I left. As for the activities I wasn't able to join in as I was in bed all the time, as I can hardly walk except with a Zimmer and the food was excellent. Unfortunately they wouldn't let the chef come home with me. As for the bathroom it was like a brand new room, it was lovely.
