Staff are fantastic. Mum didn't come into Claremont Care Home until June and we have been very pleased with her progress with her condition.

There are areas I cannot comment on as we have not yet been allowed in and Mum cannot comment on due to short term memory.

I have not responded to some categories as they are not pertinent. I have always been happy with the care my wife received. I think the staff and management in Arran Ward are very good. The action of the staff and management in the home is a reflection as to why they have remained Covid-free. Hopefully this will continue.

My Mum moved here from another nursing home where she had been for a couple of months.
My family and I are amazed at the difference here at the Claremont in Ayr.
The home is lovely and clean, with such caring staff who really do treat my mum with dignity and respect.
The food is fantastic and Mum can choose from the menu or just opt for sandwiches, omelette or even just a bowl of ice cream, whatever she asks for they will do their best to sort it for her.
Mum felt so happy to have had her hair done and nails painted by her carer who helps her pick her outfit for the day.
Mum loves the daily entertainments and of course the coffee and cakes.
Most important of all is that my mum has found her smile again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to one and all at the Claremont.

Researched numerous care homes in the area and Claremont came out tops. My mother who has Lewy body dementia cannot communicate either orally or written. She is also totally immobile. All Claremont staff look after my mother with excellent care, compassion and understanding. My mother also requires to be fed. I am kept fully updated by all staff on changes in my mother's condition. Choosing Claremont for Mother was a fantastic family decision. I have no concerns.

Our family researched many care homes before choosing Claremont for our Mum - a fantastic decision. From day one, all the staff went out of their way to make our whole family welcome to our Mum's new home. Throughout her stay, this excellent standard of care continued and she was very contented. We as a family were always made welcome and were kept up to date with Mum's wellbeing and any changes in her condition. In the last couple of weeks of her life, we were treated with warmth and compassion by all the staff. Mum died at 4.50am on 19th December - the night staff informed us at 3am - letting us have time with Mum before she died. Our heartfelt thanks to the manager and all the staff.

My wife has been a resident since August 2018. I find the facilities very good. She is well looked after and both she and her surroundings are always clean. The staff are all excellent, friendly and cheerful. My wife is not always the easiest to cope with but the staff take it all in their stride. Food is very good. I would have no qualms in recommending Claremont to anyone.

All care staff very good but they seem to change a lot. In general, the home seems to be well organised and efficient. Would be good if nurses could sit in on doctor visits, to ensure all medical conditions are being relayed to doctors.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such positive feedback about Claremont. We try to maintain staff continuity in each unit but at times we need to make some changes to ensure each unit is safely staffed but do appreciate that this is not ideal.
