Over all time Orchar Nursing Home has 95 reviews.
I cannot praise the staff, on all levels, highly enough, especially escorting her out on her frequent walks etc.
The medical care is of the highest standard.
As my aunt is now 100 years old, we are very happy with all care and attention.
Mum is treated with dignity and is able to make decisions about what time she gets up, what clothes she wears, what food she has from a menu.
We live in Yorkshire and are kept informed if there are any problems regarding Mum's care.
Mum is very content and is happy with the care she receives. The residents have entertainment but don't necessarily have to participate. We as a family are so relieved that Mum is content in her new home.
My father has been resident in Orcha Nursing Home. The staff are all excellent and the care provided has reassured our family that our dad is being very well cared for.
My Mother has now been resident at Orchar for 17 months. The care provided is excellent and the surroundings and atmosphere are like a country hotel rather than a care home. All members of staff are very polite and caring.
Excellent care both medical and residential staff are supportive and understanding of all circumstances and my mother's condition of dementia.
My mother is always kept smart, clean and well dressed. All staff understand her individual circumstances and condition.
We are also made to feel very welcome when we visit.
We have great confidence in her care and how she now likes.
My mother has lived at Orchar Nursing Home for 17 months. The care and attention of all management, nursing and care staff is exemplary and leaves me feeling very confident that my mother is being given the best care 24 hours a day. This gives me great peace of mind. The home is run with a friendly, positive, family home style feeling, which extends to residents and relatives of residents. The surroundings are very pleasant and the very good food is varied and nutritious. There are many activities for the residents to join in if and when they wish. My father was also a resident at Orchar for 14 months and was able to remain at the home with end of life nursing, given with dignity, professionalism and utmost goodwill. The care and attention for him and for the family at that time was absolutely first class. I would certainly recommend Orchar Nursing Home to anyone who is looking for a caring home for their relative.
Overall, very satisfied with this home and the care it provides.
There are no shortage of daily activities and staff and carers are very sympathetic to each resident's individual needs.
I would recommend Orchar to any person who requires care.
I like the home because of the friendly atmosphere as opposed to the custom built clinical homes. Friendly informative staff and my relation is content and well looked after. Overall a very happy place for residents and visitors alike.
Every two weeks or so I come in and help run an art class with various different activities to help stimulate mental thinking. the care home is very professional and welcoming. The residents are very happy and the food is excellent. I would recommend this home to everyone who needs a nursing home, it is first class.
My husband is a resident at Orchar Nursing Home and has been since October 2015. I am delighted with the care he receives at Orchar and I trust them completely. All the staff make me very welcome. I am even invited to stay and have my lunch or tea with my husband. The nursing home is always lovely and clean and very welcoming. I would recommend this nursing home to all my friends.
First on a personal note my wife a resident has had good attentive care and respect from, management, nurses, carers, cooks and domestic staff, this is not just to my wife but to all residents. The entertainment is very good the way they get the residents to join in. The meals are of good quality and are served with a smile and help residents if required. I would recommend this care home to anyone.
I've got all my friends here, it's a good place and I love the view and the nice smiles.
Mum has been in Orchar House for 2 years and is happy, well looked after, treated with respect. All her medical needs and personal care are given in a professional manner. As a relative I am kept informed of my mums care and find the staff very approachable.
We have peace of mind knowing our mum is being well looked after. The staff always have my mum looking presentable, the way she would herself if she was able. We consider ourselves to be lucky with Orchar House and the care given to our mum and that's down to the great staff. Thank you.
