I am pleased with the care home and things they do. I go up when singers are on sometimes wife and friends will come with me. I like to dance with her.
All in all my husband is in safe hands which makes me happy.
Excellent, warm, and welcoming. Brilliant staff. Halloween decorations are fab!
We'd like to take a moment to thank you for leaving such a wonderful review of our home. It means so much to our colleagues when they receive this level of praise, they work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver the kindest possible care to residents and hearing such fantastic feedback is really the icing on the cake to them! Thank you, once again, for your kind words.
Staff very caring and helpful.
Nothing too much trouble.
We would like to express our gratitude for your positive feedback. Your positive rating means a lot to our team of dedicated colleagues, who continuously strive to provide high-quality care for our residents. Thank you again.
I can not thank the staff at this establishment enough. My grandma needed a new care home to go to for respite and she was welcomed with open arms here and couldn't wait for her next 'holiday' there. Every member of staff that I had come into contact with made not only my grandma feel welcome but they also involved the family when we were coming to visit, making sure we were all comfortable but also supplying drinks and snacks too, (I know that drinks and snacks aren't the important part) but for me, it was showing that they were going above and beyond for everybody to make every visit with my grandma pleasurable for me but most importantly my grandma. I feel that they treat my grandma how they would want their grandmother treated, with kindness, dignity, care and most of all with love. I would recommend this care home to anyone looking for a loving place for your relative to go to to be cared for.
Very professional, understanding and encouraging. Welcomed our dad to their home in a very friendly manner and put him at ease.
Very friendly place, nice view from bedroom. Staff very good with patients.
Our lovely Dad had been a resident in Newfield Lodge for the last 4 years and we would like to thank the staff for the care and support he received during this time and especially in the last week of his life when he received the type of care, compassion and respect which allowed him to die with dignity in the comfort of the place he regarded as his new home. We would also like to thank the staff for the compassion and support they have given to our family during this difficult time and the continued care they provide to our Mum who is also a resident in the home.
The entertainment days were a godsend for him and he enjoyed singing, dancing and joining in with all the songs.
Dad was always a good eater and always enjoyed a cooked breakfast or egg sandwich. He became well known for having an extra egg sandwich.
As a son, you always want the best and Newfield didn't disappoint. Newfield makes you feel part of the family and all the staff, including the managers went that extra mile to ensure this. We always felt that Dad was safe and very well looked after. Sadly Dad's condition worsened as well as having cancer and the love and care Dad received during his final weeks, was a great comfort.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newfield Lodge to anyone.
Thank you for leaving such a kind and heartfelt review. We are so very sorry for your loss, your dad was a lovely man and will be remembered fondly. It’s lovely to know that he felt loved and a part of the family right to the end and please remember you are very much part of that family still and...
From our first visit I knew Newfield Lodge was the right place for Mum. Staff and surroundings are friendly and welcoming and Mum has settled really well. She has become part of the family and we feel part of that family too. Mum always looks smart in matching clean clothes and enjoys visiting the in-house hairdressers weekly. Entertainment is good and staff play their part when the karaoke machine is out! The manager knows every resident by name and takes the time to stop and chat to them. I am happy to recommend Newfield Lodge.
Thank you for the lovely review, it’s great to hear that not only did we make a fabulous first impression but we have continued to live up to it! Newfield Lodge is a family and you are a very welcome part of that. Just make sure you get your name down for the next karaoke session!
Whenever I go, it’s the same lovely atmosphere. My sister is so happy going along with whatever is planned, and when I come home, I feel happy that I know she is getting the very special care that you give - thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review; we are so happy that your sister is settled and happy with us, and we hope you enjoy your visits.
Newfield Lodge staff look after and treat the residents as they would a family member. There are lots of activities and fun things happening all year round. They also have a garden, which was revamped by staff and residents.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We like to think of Newfield Lodge as one big happy family, and everyone, residents and staff included, plays a part in making the home as happy and successful as it is.
Management and staff are polite and friendly, which helps the residents feel at ease and comfortable in their surroundings. Dad has settled in well and has made good friends. I feel relaxed knowing dad is safe and looked after. Entertainment is good and residents join in with singing and dancing, families are welcome at all times. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Newfield Lodge and seeing for themselves how all the residents are happy.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We absolutely agree, the best thing anyone looking at care can do is to visit the home and get a feel for it. We are so proud of our happy, welcoming atmosphere and we think the smile on our residents’ faces says it all. We are so pleased your dad (and, by extension, you) are part of our happy Newfield Lodge family!
Since Mum moved to Newfield Lodge, I am 100% sure it is the perfect place for her, she has settled in more quickly than I thought possible, all the staff are so warm and friendly keeping, me updated with Mum's progress. She loves joining in all the activities and entertainment, I can't thank the staff enough for the care, time and compassion they show Mum.
Thank you for sending in such a wonderful review, we are so pleased that your mum is settled and at home with us. It’s very important that not only is she safe and cared for but that you are reassured and supported as well, so we are always happy to keep you in the loop.
Since moving into Newfield Lodge, my mum has settled really well. She is always taking part in lots of activities and really enjoys the singers and loves to dance. The management team and all the staff have made us as a family very welcome and included in every aspect of Mum's care home life.
It sounds like your mum is the life and soul of the home, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Thank you for your review!
Since Mum became resident at the care home over a year ago, she has really settled in well. She is looked after brilliantly by the staff, who provide exemplary care for the residents. Their kindness, patience and the quality of their care is second to none. The activity programme is great and Mum enjoys joining in when she chooses. There is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the managers are very approachable. It is very comforting to know that Mum is living in such a safe, caring environment.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are pleased that your mum has settled in so well and that you find the atmosphere in the home inviting – we certainly love welcoming visitors and it’s lovely to know it shows. We look forward to seeing you soon.
I cannot praise Newfield Lodge and the staff highly enough. Since my mother has been in the home for the past two years, the care she has received has been excellent; totally supportive of her needs and providing numerous activities and social events to keep her occupied, happy and settled. The surroundings and staff attention to even the smallest details of her care is exemplary and long may it continue!
Thank you for such a glowing review, it’s wonderful to hear your mother is so settled and happy. We have an amazing bunch of people working with us to do all they can for our residents and it’s lovely to hear that it’s so appreciated.
I live in Canada and they help me so much with things I can’t simply pop down the road to do. The activities and outings look so much fun.
I love the garden area too such a lovely place.
The price seems a lot but when you add in all the activities, food, events etc it’s very reasonable.
I would highly recommend Newfield Lodge.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we understand how difficult it can be when our residents’ loved ones are not local and it makes the ‘family feel’ at Newfield Lodge so important, so you can feel reassured that your dad always has people around him and you always have people you can call on....
The residents seem happy and well looked after although many of them complain about the food being bland. At a cost of £4.5K per month perhaps a little better quality food could be served. We supplement Dad's diet by taking fresh fruit/treats in for him every week. Still so much better than other dismal places.
After almost 30 years of experiencing visiting care homes (in a different life) I have seen the good the bad and the ugly. So when the time came for my own mum to go into a care home I was very hesitant. After one mistake I found Newfield Lodge Care Home. On the very first visit to look around I immediately felt reassured. From the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and decor, and the welcome of the manager I knew immediately this was the right place for mum, and so it proved to be. Mum has been there now 4 months and celebrated her 97th birthday last Friday. She received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from all at the home. So thank you to everyone there for making mum’s birthday so special and taking such good care of her on our behalf. I do not hesitate to recommend Newfield Lodge to anyone seeking a care home for their loved ones.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review and very many happy returns to your mum, it was lovely to celebrate with her. We are so pleased that Newfield Lodge not only makes a great first impression but also follows it through to be worthy of your recommendation, and that we could be the right place for your mum.
