The care home provides a safe and secure environment. The whole staff are attentive and professional. There is always lots of activities for the residents and the choice of food is excellent. The facilities and cleanliness of the home is very good.
Thank you so much for leaving this fantastic review for our team at Newfield Lodge, who provide all our residents with a safe and happy home. You’re always welcome to join your loved one for one of our many fun activities or a delicious home-cooked meal.
Terrific care home - staff attitudes to residents and range of activities for them. My brother and I are really pleased (and relieved) that our father has a place there to cope with his Alzheimer’s. He has been at Newfield Lodge for over 2 years.
Thank you for leaving such wonderful feedback for the team at Newfield Lodge. Your father is such a big part of our Newfield Lodge family, and we know he is very fond of the team and he loves his biscuits! It’s great to hear that our wonderful home is providing peace of mind for you and your family.
As soon as we placed Mum into your care we knew she would be cared for with dignity and respect. From the outset staff took time to get to know Mum, promoting her independence and ensuring her safety whilst offering the right level of supervision and stimulation. The staff at Newfield Lodge are encouraged to think differently, they see opportunities to positively redirect Mum when she appears lost or confused and they keep family involved in so many ways. Above all Mum appears happy, settled and cared for, thank you.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. We really value our person-centred approach at Ideal Care Homes and the staff at Newfield are experts at promoting independent living and encouraging and stimulating their residents wherever possible. It’s lovely to hear that your mum is so settled and hopefully this will bring you some peace of mind.
My mother arrived from a care home up north and from the minute she arrived at Newfield Lodge the care and attention from all members of staff were second to none. It was like night and day compared to the home she had come from. My mother lived with dementia for many years, she also had a skin condition that required constant care and attention and this is what she received at Newfield Lodge. My mother's short time at Newfield Lodge was spent with lots of love and care which exceeded our expectations. Moving my mother here was too late but for the short time she stayed there nothing was ever too much for all staff who attended to my mother whether this was direct or not. The entire team were very welcoming and friendly and thought of my mother as their own and when it came to her passing their thoughtfulness towards me and my partner, where second to none. I can't praise them enough for their care and support.
Thank you for writing this lovely review for our incredible team at Newfield Lodge during what must be such a difficult time for you and your family – please accept our deepest sympathies to you all. Always find the staff helpful and friendly whether face-to-face or over the phone. Willing to engage and help with issues/queries with professionalism and discretion. Special note for the receptionist who is always very positive, cheerful and welcoming.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this wonderful review for Newfield Lodge. We’re so proud of our team in the home for always providing the best care to our residents, and supporting their families. Thanks again!
The food is excellent. Bedrooms and public areas are kept clean. Plenty of various activities to join in. Lovely outings.
Thank you for your review, it’s lovely to hear that you are joining in and getting the most out of living at Newfield Lodge.
My Uncle has been a resident since June of last year, and I cannot thank the team enough for all they do for him. From the first call to enquire, I've always felt like nothing is ever too much. The team is so welcoming and the staff are very friendly. The care for my uncle has exceeded my expectations, and the thoughtfulness they have shown me has not gone unnoticed. I'm amazed by the daily activities - the planning, coordination and time spent to ensure the residents have something to do and keep them active is much appreciated.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Our aim is always to make the whole process of moving into care, from enquiry to admission and beyond, as smooth and welcoming as possible and we are so pleased to exceed expectations. Special credit here goes to our wonderful...
This is such a welcoming care home, the staff all seem very caring. It is a safe environment for anyone to live in. Lots of activities to stimulate the residents. Cannot thank them enough for all they do for their residents. I feel so happy that my family member is being looked after very well.

My wife has only been here for three to four weeks, but we are most impressed with the care she is receiving. The lodge is very clean. The staff are really friendly and helpful, from senior management through the whole team. Working in stressful situations can never be easy, but it seems to be handled with care and courtesy.
We really appreciate this lovely feedback for Newfield Lodge - we’re extremely proud of our care team at the home, and their dedication to our residents’ happiness and wellbeing. We’re so glad you feel your wife is being well-looked after and enjoying our wonderful facilities. Thank you!
My mum only lived at Newfield Lodge for a short time, but from my initial enquiry I found the staff to be extremely helpful and efficient and the rooms very clean and comfortable. After Mum moved in, all staff were caring and attentive, and the range of activities available for residents exceeded my expectations. I would certainly recommend Newfield Lodge to anyone looking for residential care.
Thank you for your kind recommendation. It’s so important to our care team at Newfield Lodge that our residents feel encouraged to take advantage of our activities program, so that they can live each day to its fullest. We hope your mum enjoyed her stay with us, thank you again!
My mum has now been a resident of Newfield Lodge for a couple of years O a,, and always have been, delighted with the kindness and care provided. My mum is cared and loved in a way which was unexpected. I would not consider anywhere better.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We’re glad your mum feels loved and cared for in Newfield Lodge. Our care team consider everybody in their home as family, and go above and beyond to provide the best care for our residents. Thank you!
I can honestly say Newfield Lidge is absolutely outstanding, from the inside of the building (looks like a hotel) down to all the activities. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond in all their duties. The professionalism and empathy shown by everyone are second to none - I just can't thank this home and all the staff enough - you are truly excellent in everything you offer and do - thank you.

My mum has been a resident since March 2022. The care she receives is beyond my expectations. The staff are lovely, very friendly and caring and the management cannot do enough for you. It is so reassuring that my mum is being so well looked after.

I can’t thank staff enough for the care given to my grandma during her short stay at Newfield Lodge. It was a difficult decision which care home to choose but Newfield Lodge was the best by far. I realised that care isn’t just a job to the staff at Newfield Lodge, it is a great love to help those in need and I am so grateful to each and every member of staff for the amazing care and support given to my grandma before she passed away. I’m so glad her last few weeks were spent with carers who genuinely treated my grandma with so much dignity and we’re all lovely with her and managed to get her into the shower and clean clothes every day. As a housekeeper myself I’m quite critical when I visit places, looking to see if it’s clean etc and I can 100% say Newfield Lodge was spotless and smelt fresh every time I visited my grandma. I highly recommend this care home and its genuinely caring staff. Thank you so much!

The front-of-house manager was very helpful with the initial inquiry. We relied on relatives of other past residents and photos online when making our decision. We were allowed to visit the room allocated when my friend moved in to help her unpack and were served refreshments, thank you. We still cannot visit all parts of the home and are reliant on our friend for comments. All the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful.
Thank you for your review of Newfield Lodge. We understand that it can be hard to make the decision to move into care so we are glad you found other reviews and past experiences helpful. I was really impressed by Newfield Lodge. The care home is modern and decorated to a high standard and is spotlessly clean. My mum's room was lovely and being on the ground floor, opened onto the beautiful garden which was a bonus for her to sit out in the fresh air. All the staff were very professional and friendly, my mum enjoyed her two weeks stay and I wouldn't hesitate for her to return in the future. Many thanks.

Very impressed and reassured at the welcome Mum received moving into the Home during the pandemic. The Manager facilitated an easy transition, astute to safety issues but using common sense, sensitivity and a very caring attitude. Every member of staff l have spoken to has been kind, friendly and courteous. The home's social media page allows me to see activities, surroundings and residents enjoying themselves.
Thank you so much for your kind words regarding our home and staff. Feedback is extremely important to us and it is encouraging for our staff to receive such positive feedback. We will ensure that your comments are passed to the whole team.
I can't thank Newfield Lodge enough for easing the transition for my mother-in-law into a care home. The management and staff are so welcoming and friendly. She needed company, activity and routine. She is so much happier and no longer distressed. Communication is excellent and the staff are always professional. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us to see. We pride ourselves on creating a community within our homes with an abundance of social activities, and I am so pleased to hear that this is what you have found. The staff team will be delighted to hear your positive feedback which I shall be sure to pass on.
Because of Covid restrictions, apart from taking my husband in for two weeks respite, my time was limited to check everything. I was very impressed with the room and ensuite, the cleanliness was very good! The staff were all helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately, my husband is very limited in taking part in activities but can enjoy watching others participate. I only witnessed him eating one meal which looked quite appetising. On the whole, we were satisfied.
