The care and attention is superb. Staff and carers are always on hand cheerfully and, if anything, more than one could hope for.
The food is plentiful and beautifully served - as a 'picky' eater I am well provided for with the alternative menu.

I moved my mum and dad to Maycroft Manor in July 2021 after a very disappointing experience in another home. It was the best decision I have ever made. Maycroft is like a 5-star hotel, and my mum reckons the care is second to none. Myself and my brothers have nothing but praise for the staff, facilities
and safety at the home. It is what every elderly person deserves in their twilight years.

My mother entered the home when she was at a very low point after recovering from a nasty fall. The service and care that she received was second to none. She was nursed back to health and now, at the age of 97, enjoys a quality of life that we thought she wouldn't have again. She remains happy, well
and well looked after, 24/7.

My nan moved into Maycroft Manor after struggling more and more during lockdown and she was really lonely but didn't want to go into a home. From the minute we looked around Maycroft she loved it and now joins in with many of the really varied activities that take place and loves having her hair done
each week. She loves having a glass of wine at lunchtime and sitting with her new friends and now wishes she has made the move sooner. Such a lovely home and an even more wonderful team.

My mum became a resident at Maycroft Manor over 6 years ago after an extended stay in hospital with pneumonia, unsuccessful discharge home, and a brief, traumatic stay in an unsuitable home. Her prognosis was a year of poor quality life, bed to chair existence.
She lives with dementia and from the
start of her journey in the specialist community at Maycroft Manor, it was clear that she was finally in the right place.
Within weeks she was managing a walker; recognising her beautifully appointed room as "home"; personalised care plan in place; participating in activities; spending time with family on the terrace/cafes or in her room; visiting the in-house hairdresser and manicurist; enjoying the food (gaining weight) etc. This was a lifestyle/freedom that we could not possibly have imagined for her.
The wonderful team of professionals (many of whom have become akin to family) is remarkable in its empathy, professionalism and endeavour. My mum has just celebrated her 90th birthday!!

Both our mother and father have been residents in Maycroft Manor for approaching 3 calendar years; during this time the services and care provided has been top class. We have been completely satisfied with all aspects of the care provided to both our parents.
We are kept in touch with any material
changes to either parent and the staff are always available to discuss any issues.
All of the dealings with both line management and staff within the home has been of the highest standards; I believe the way that the senior line management team have dealt with the pandemic issues could not have been bettered - zero positive cases across the first lockdown speaks for itself.
All of the people in this care home deserve the highest credit and praise for all their endeavours in this most difficult of last 12 months!

I don't think a care home could make better provision for its residents than Maycroft Manor does. The care provided is also exemplary in a humane and individual way. My mother has severe Alzheimer's disease and moved into Maycroft Manor nursing home in October when visitors were not allowed into the home.
In my opinion, the staff went over and beyond their duty in ensuring her well-being was foremost, taking the initiative to seek advice from the family as well
as other professionals as a dietician, speech and language therapist and the home's catering manager.
We have been encouraged to personalise my mother's room with her paintings, and the staff's level of care is demonstrated by the personal touches her appearances such as a necklace, blown dried hair and painted fingernails.
I have been impressed at how well each manager understands the needs of their residents and families, emailing regular updates of their position with regards to weekly Covid testing, vaccination programme and levels of PPE as well as their Christmas activity programme etc.
They have been proactive in liaising with the authorities and constructing secure visiting suites to ensure that families can continue to visit even with the higher level of restrictions.
I highly recommend Maycroft Manor and have every confidence they will be able to provide the care my mother requires until the end of her life.
