As my sister has only been with you for 3 weeks I cannot say too much at the moment. It seems a very nice care home, well trained staff at all levels. Well situated for family and friends to visit.

The care was excellent; respectful, patient, thoughtful. The staff showed great compassion and the staffing levels were very appropriate. The space in the rooms and around the corridors and halls was very good. Staff communicated well with us and listened to our concerns. My parents were too ill to
take advantage of them but the scheduled activities seemed very appropriate. My only criticism is the link with the pharmacy and GP surgery. It seemed random and not reliable.

As we discussed at pre-assessment the links with pharmacy and GP do take time to be established for new residents during the transition from one surgery to another, which is why we ask for two weeks medications to arrive with the residents. I am sorry that you encountered problems during this transition.

The home is generally run well but the staff always seem to be "under pressure", even though this is the case, all the staff are extremely kind. I do not feel they get the support from management that they should be getting. My mother is happy and well cared for but could do with more 1 to 1 care but
this is difficult for the staff as they are "over-stretched".

My mother has been at Maycroft Manor for nearly 3 years. It has always been an extremely positive and happy experience for her. All the staff are truly amazing in everything they do and very professional and friendly.

Generally very happy with Maycroft Manor, especially the staff who are always friendly and caring. We sometimes arrive to find Mum clearly in a need to be cleaned up. This has been the case the last 2 visits.

My mother came to live at Maycroft Manor Care Home on the 31st October 2017 on the dementia community. She was withdrawn socially and everyday care was a battle. The turn around in my mother has been incredible. She has established a routine of getting up showered and dressed and will readily accept
the carers help. Socially as soon as the music is on she is up and dancing and really enjoying herself. Although her dementia is getting worse and doesn't always recognise my sister and me, I know she is happy in her own world. Thank you, Maycroft Manor.

Wonderful staff. Mum is free to go where she likes. Mum has three years of making decisions (well she thinks she has) as mum has dementia. Maycroft has given my mum another three years of normal life as we see it. There is no other place, care home or dementia home quite like Maycroft. Believe me, we
are so happy she is there.

Maycroft Manor Care Home is a well-designed purpose-built environment, spacious with plenty of facilities eg cinema, hairdressing salon and a shop. The staff always seem friendly and approachable and are responsive to residents needs a welcoming for visitors.

All nursing homes should be like this one. The care shown by the care and nursing staff is outstanding. The residents are so well cared for. The support staff do a Stirling job also. The only negative is that the quality of the food is variable.

Entertainment is good but needs more consistent effort awaiting a new lifestyle manager.

My mother-in-law suffers from dementia. Maycroft Manor is perfect for her condition. She is allowed to roam around the whole spacious floor, never confined to her room. If she wants to roam in the middle of the night, it is allowed.

The standard of care is generally very high. The accommodation is very good. Some of the staff that have been at Maycroft for some time are exceptional. Unfortunately, the level of attrition seems high. I wonder if they are offered sufficient remuneration to encourage more staff to stay longer.
Managers
seem not to stay long. More needs to be done to encourage the best staff to stay.

He is treated with respect and is well taken care of.
